The next morning approached faster than they wanted, the sky outside was dark and gloomy as the storm hadn’t cleared, they could hear the slight tapping at the windows as the heavy rain drops hit them over and over and then the crackle of what sounded like a roaring fire but was the sound of thunder in the distance as the lightning filled the sky every few minutes “Hyuk… Are you asleep” Donghae ask as he opened his eyes half way looking at his, what appeared to be, sleeping lover, their bodies still tangled from the night before. 

“What do you think?” Eunhyuk replied in a weak and slightly aggravated way as the storm was keeping him from sleeping, he kept his eyes closed in the hope he could fall back to sleep, Donghae smiled and snuggled closed lightly kissing Eunhyuk’s nose as he continued watching his lover

“I wonder what we would be doing right now if the apocalypse hadn’t happened” Donghae whispered huskily trialing his finger over Eunhyuk’s jaw wondering what in fact they could have been doing… and what the others would be doing if they were still alive.

Eunhyuk opened his eyes and looked at Donghae sadly but smiles a little and holds Donghae’s face and softly brushes his skin with his thumb “I bet we would be in bed as we are now… the other’s making a racket outside our room trying to get us out of bed but we locked our door so they couldn’t get in…” Donghae chuckles at the image he imagines from Eunhyuk’s prediction.

“Your right, we really should have thought of doing that before… but never mind” Donghae smiled and sighed deeply “Do you think the shower will work here?” Eunhyuk shrugs

“If the water works, I don’t see why not… Do you want to shower together?” Eunhyuk smiled at Donghae as he nodded and sat up, Eunhyuk followed and sat up, his hands behind him leaning on them propping his torso up.

“I’ll go and test the water, could you get the soap and towels? I’m sure there won’t be any waiting for us…” Donghae asks smiling as he shuffles off the bed and stands up, turning to look at Eunhyuk who nods

“Yep, I’ll look for them now” He looks around for the bags and also shuffles off the other side of the bed and walks over to the bag bending over to look, Donghae smirks and smacks Eunhyuk’s

“Don’t tempt me baby” He says seductively before walking in to the on suite bathroom and turning the tap, luckily water came out but it wasn’t warm.

Eunhyuk comes in and puts the toiletries on the toilet lid and then back hugs Donghae as they walk in to the shower both squeaking as the cold water hits their skin but soon they get used to it and the water washes the dirt and cleans the cuts and bruises over their bodies, they begin rubbing the soap gently over each other smiling as they touch each other with care, Donghae winces as Eunhyuk touches his ankle “I’m sorry, does it still hurt a lot?” Eunhyuk asks looking up to Donghae

“A little…” He replied putting his weight on the other leg, they soon finish cleaning the bruises and cuts still visible but their skin clean and hair non-greasy.

The two got dressed in to the last piece of clean clothing they had left and packed their bags ready for a quick getaway if the time came for it. Eunhyuk went down stairs shivering from the low temperature and the
