Chapter 20 – “Last Photo”
I ran to school, not minding that it was drizzling. I had to see Taemin.
Why just now? Why didn’t he tell me?
Kyuhyun was just playing me. He lied to me the whole time!
“Where is Taemin?” I asked his classmates.
“Didn’t he tell you?” his classmate, Jinki asked.
“Tell what?” I asked as I tried to catch my breath.
“He’s leaving for Japan. It’s today.” He told me.
Shoot! I forgot. He’s bound for Japan today. I should hurry, I can’t miss him. I just can’t.
“Min-Ah, I’ve been looking for you.” Kyuhyun said as he approached me.
“You lied to me Cho Kyuhyun. Let’s end this now.” I told him coldly.
“What?” he asked as terror streaked across his face.
“I know everything. I finally remember, Kyuhyun. Now, let me go before I drag you to hell.” I said.
“I love you! I had to do it.” He shouted.
“Why? If you loved me, why didn’t you tell me?” I asked him, out of disgust.
“Because I was too busy thinking about myself.” He muttered.
“Why did you do it? You know he means everything to me!” I told him.
“I’m sorry. I tried my best. Let me make it right this time.” He said and pulled my hand.
“Let me go! Let’s end this game! I’m done with you.” I said, wriggled my hand free and ran away.
I had to run, I need to get a cab.
“To Incheon Airport, ajhussi. Jebal.” I told the driver as I go inside.
More patience, Min-Ah. You’ll meet him soon. You will. You must.
Why didn’t he tell me in the first place? Maybe he wanted me to discover it myself. Or maybe he was preoccupied with his thoughts.
But I heard him talking to Kyuhyun, I’m sure it was me they were talking about.
Right now, I have nothing to do but to hurry and worry.
“Ajhussi, faster please.” I told him as I bit my nails. I tend to do it when I’m nervous.
Just a little bit, Taemin. Please wait for me.
You should have just told me. You should have just waited.
I paid the bill and immediately got out of the cab. It began to rain so hard that I was drenched when I went inside.
I kept on running, my feet hurting and my eyes crying.
“Taemin!” I called out. I didn’t care how people looked at me. I just wanted him back.
I went to check the plane for Japan.
It left, 30 minutes ago. I got on my knees, cried my hardest.
Because Taemin is gone. And he’s not coming back.
