That you don't like me the way I like you.

The words echoed in your head. Did he...did he just confess to me?

You stared at him, your expression a mixture of happiness and confusion.

Baekhyun glanced down at his hands, not looking at you.

You had heard the pain in his voice as he said these words.

“Baekhyun...” You whispered.

In this moment, Kai came into the room.

“Hey Keira! I brought you your favorite pizza-” He became silent as he noticed Baekhyun.

“Oh...hey Hyung...” He greeted with an unsure tone in his voice.

Without any word, Baekhyun stood up and left the apartment.

Puzzled you looked after him. What was this?

You approached Kai and gave him a mild smile. “Thank you for the pizza, Kai. But I have to talk with him.”

He slowly bowed his head up and down. His eyes showed a gleam of disappointment, but he let you go.

You couldn't find Baekhyun on the corridor, and something told you to go on the rooftop.

So you were walking up the stairs until you reached the door to the apartments highest place.

You pushed it open and stumbled out in the dark.

You shivered. It was a really cold night and you were wearing nothing else than shorts and a thin sweater.

Hugging yourself for warmth, you scanned your surroundings. You beheld a silhouette sitting near the brink.

Slowly you walked over and took place next to the person.

Your gaze shifted towards the star-spattered sky.

None of you said a word.

You trembled in every limb because of the cold.

All of a sudden you felt something warm on your shoulders.

Surprised you glanced at Baekhyun.

The jacket he had been wearing was now wrapped around your upper body, and he sat there in a short-sleeved t-shirt.

You wanted to give it back to him, but he refused to take it.

“You need it more than me.” He said.

Your lips curled into a small smile. “Thanks.”

That was the end of your short conversation and the both of you continued to stare at the dark sky.

A felt eternity later, Baekhyun eventually spoke.

“I'm sorry...”

“For what?”

He fidgeted with his pretty hands.

“Being jealous.” Baekhyun breathed.

Your eyes rounded. “Why would you be jealous?”

He sighed. “The thing with you and Kai...I don't know...I should be happy for you..but...”

What's with me and Kai? What the is he talking about?

“What do you mean with me and Kai?”

“I...I know...” His voice was too silent, you hardly understood him.

“What do you know?” You whsipered.

“That you kissed him.” He finally said.

Your heart skipped a beat. No...please don't tell me...

“What did he tell you about it?”

He gazed at you. His porcelain skin glowed white in the moonlight. And his eyes were somewhat watery, which underlined his sad expression.

“I shouldn't have expected you to have the same feelings as me. It was silly of me to think so...and I'm sorry...”

You shook your head. “No Baekhyun...”

“I should have known that you like him, not me...I just...I wanted it so badly...”

“Baekhyun!” Your voice got louder.

“I don't know...I think I was too blind to see it...OUCH!” He shrieked as you slapped him.

You crossed your arms and glared at him.

“Can't you listen once? The only thing you were too blind to see, was what I feel for you!”

He blinked confused. “I don't get it...”

Annoyed you rolled your eyes.

Then you bend forward and pressed your lips on his.

Baekhyun's eyes widened as he felt your soft lips touching his own.

He had never felt this happy before.

It was like a thousand fireworks were exploding in his stomach.

A bit too soon for his liking, you parted.

You looked straight into his eyes. “Pabo! I'm in love with you, Byun Baekhyun! I can't believe you thought different! Wasn't it obvious enough?”

He just grinned at your scolding. The only words which stayed in his mind were I'm in love with you, Byun Baekhyun.

He wrapped his arms around you and placed another soft kiss on your mouth.

The two of you were sitting at the abyss.

You were leaning against his shoulder and his arms were embracing you.

“You know...” You began, mumbling. “I won't forgive you your silliness that easily.”

He chuckled. “And what do I have to do, so you'll forgive me?”

You smirked. “Sing for me.”

“No.” He respond.

“Fine, then I won't forgive you!” You pouted and escaped from his embrace.

“Wait!” He called and grabbed your arm. “I'll do it.”

You couldn't help but melt at his beautiful smile.

He pulled you back next to him and gently pecked your forehead.

Then he began to sing. Just for you.

Taken by the soft wind to your world

You asked me brightly where I came from to your side

And I told you that it was a secret

Wherever we walk together

Will be paradise

In this moment it started snowing.

Baekhyun stopped singing and the two of you looked up in the sky.

The small white flakes flew through the air.

Your smile grew wider and you bend closer to Baekhyun.

This was really a beautiful night.
