The MisfitsThey parked the bikes outside of the city, in the near of a rock group which would hide them perfectly. “Do you think it is necessary to meet inside the city?” D.O. asked as they waited in the shadows of the high metal wall. Smoke rose up from the small factories of the city, floated higher and higher and merged with the gray, always present cloud that hovered over the city.
Such clouds were over nearly every city since the big war, covering the sky so that barely any sunlight came through it. The people haven't seen the sun for ages and the missing sunlight affected not only the people's mood but also their appearance. Sickly pale skin color, crappy mood and always scared and suspicious. Scared of the Vampires which could attack them at any minute, scared that the government wouldn't protect them in an extreme situation.
In those times, there was no thing as a close friendship. No one could trust another. Everyone just wanted to survive somehow and many thought that they would be better off on their own. They were right to a certain point about that, but still, Luhan preferred the accompany of his friends over being lonely. “He's the only one who is willing to provide us with information, so I don't think we have any other choice, unless you want to fight against a horde of crazy bloodsuckers.”
D.O. raised his brow lightly, while he looked at his watch. “Did you just insult yourself?” Luhan just flashed him a toothy grin, before he knocked on the metal wall carefully. The plate suddenly switched to the side, just a tiny little bit. A quite short looking, older man with wide and fear filled eyes stared at Luhan, before he stepped back. “Come in. Hurry, hurry,” he grumbled with a croaky voice. The man barely had any hair left on his head, and his whole appearance in general wasn't very confiding.
He reminded of those grumpy old men who would nag and bluster about everyone and everything. It didn't help that his eyes were uneven, the left twitching frequently; his lips hung down at the edges, and his face was crossed with wrinkles. Despite his looks, he was pretty quick, even though he walked with a slightly bent back. “Hurry.” He said again, and Sehun rolled his eyes.
He despised that old man, since he had thrown a knife at Sehun without any reason. “Say that again and I'll show you what fast is.” Sehun grumbled, but he simply shook Luhan's warning gaze off as his friend and cousin turned his head. The two of them had grown up together, even though they were three years apart. They had shared pain, happiness, disappointment... loss. The bond between them was very strong, but they didn't consider each other as cousins though, they really were like brothers.
“You know the way,” the old man growled as they reached the end of the tunnel, which would lead them to a small and silent side street where no one would notice their arrival. “Remember, you can't stay for too long.” The man warned him again, just like usual. Luhan nodded with a slight smile on his face and threw him a small sack with coins.
The seven of them moved silently through the streets, not making a single sound, not even as they ca
