The MisfitsThe wind swirled the sand and the dust of the desert like landscape. Dark clouds towered up at the sky and the smell of rain was in the air. The smell of rain and the smell of something else. Something metallic and reeking. The smell of blood. A big bird made big circles in the air, before it suddenly shot down as soon as it heard the sharp whistle.
Kai's falcon landed on his arm, the sharp claws cutting into the leather of his arm guard. “North west. Not too far from here. About 20 minutes, I guess.” Kai's eyes turned normal, from the light golden to his normal brown. He looked at Luhan, who had his eyes closed. He could smell the blood from afar, even the slightest wind was enough for him. With a nod, they all sat up on their bikes again and kicked the starter.
The nearer they came, the stronger the smell of the blood got and a small frown appeared on Luhan's face. “Wait,” he suddenly said and stopped as he saw the first trail of blood. It was the sweet scent of a very young woman, just a teenager, maybe barely 18 years old. “They took someone with them.” Sehun frowned as he got down from his bike to take a closer look at the trail. “We can't do much now. Let's go to that house first.”
They walked the rest of the way and soon, the wooden house came insight. Some planks had got ripped out of the walls; the flower boxes were broken, the flowers crinkly and scrunched. The scent of may flowers mixed with the bitter sweet scent of the blood. The door hung in the door frame, creating small creaking sounds as the wind let it swung in and out.
Luhan nodded, and D.O. carefully lifted the door away. He froze for a moment, before he walked in. His shoes made a splashing sound in the pool of blood that covered the whole floor. It was dark, but he didn't need any light. The walls were smashed; picture frames laid broken on the ground, covered with blood. The first door was smashed into pieces and as D.O. opened it, he saw a blood stained bed.
There were no corpses though, and he carefully brushed over the shelf, which was not stained. “It's empty.” He whispered, and Luhan nodded and went into the next room. Ripped blankets, pillows and broken shelves welcomed him. Blood prints covered the whole room; deep scratches were carved into the wooden planks. Luhan looked around and picked up a picture laying on the ground. It was the picture of a young girl smiling and another girl who looked a bit more serious.
“Hey.” Lay called out, and Luhan immediately dropped the picture.
The living room was a mess. Everything was stained with blood. It ran down the walls and gathered in pools on the ground. Limbs were strayed all over the place, over the turned table and even on the walls. Organs, ripped in pieces swam in the pools of blood, and Luhan froze, not because he was disgusted, no, it was because he was incredibly
