The MisfitsThey haven't reached the huge entrance gate of the palace yet, and it already felt like thousand pairs of eyes stared at them, even though Hana couldn't see their faces. At first, she couldn't find Sehun and the others, but then he saw his odd outfit. Now that she saw the other outfits though, Hana didn't thought of Sehun's outfit as strange anymore. There were much more strange outfits than his and now Hana understood why they all had to dress up like that: All Vampires wore something similar to their outfits.
Some even crazier, some less.
“Darling, relax.” Luhan still could feel her anxiety and he linked their fingers. Not that he was that calm either; no, he actually was very tense. To see that person again who had killed his family, to see that person again who had pushed the whole Vampire population to the edge of despair and soon enough he would crush that person with his own hands. No, he was anxious as well but he could handle it better than Hana could.
Everyone gathered around Christine as she slightly raised her hand. “Let's go.” The Vampires around them respectfully made some space; the crowd parted with a silent murmur as she walked towards the huge entrance. The wife of the fallen and legitimate king, that was what she was. There was a reasons why Elijah never has killed her. His father hadn't killed her, mostly because he respected her, but first and foremost because she was his brother's wife. Elijah didn't dare to touch her because there would be a huge uproar of the nobles, if he would kill her and Elijah wouldn't risk any kind of revolution.
Chirstine was a prideful woman and she didn't fear a brat like Elijah or any other Vampire. She didn't fear death as well but what she feared was that something could happen to her remaining family. Sehun was her everything, even though it seemed like he was rather cool towards her. Even Luhan belonged to her family and she cared much more about him than she actually wanted to admit.
Deep inside her she knew that she couldn't blame him for the murder of her husband but she had to vent her anger and grieve out somewhere and since there was no one left of his part of his family. “Who should I announce?” The servant was not as pompous clothes as many other Vampires, but like everyone he wore a mask, which covered his face partly.
“I think you know who I am.” She was the former queen after all and Christine always found a way to made sure that no one would ever forget that. The Vampire's expression didn't waver and he simply nodded. “Lady Christine Ohfenariel and her cortege are giving us the honor.” Every Vampire in the huge ballroom turned around to them and again Hana got the feeling that she wanted to run away.
