The MisfitsAs much as tense the situation behind in the truck was, it was even worse in the drivers cabin. Jonghyun nervously bit his nails, Minho tapped his fingers against Key's, which made the other guy even more nervous. “God damn it, can you stop?” Key hissed angrily and Minho gave him a sorry gaze. Only Onew seemed like he was the only one who was not tense but under that relaxed expression, he was as nervous as everyone.
There were so many possibilities that things could go wrong, terribly wrong, and he didn't want to imagine them at all. “Let's relax. Everything will be fine,” he managed to say but he didn't want to believe his own words. Shudders ran down his spine and goosebumps appeared on his skin. If they would fail, or more exactly, if Luhan would fail, all their efforts would have been wasted and the peace between humans and Vampires would only be another small note in the history of a long war.
If he had to be honest, he really didn't want that to happen. It was time for the subliminal war to stop. Jonghyun was not as delusional to believe that the hate and the prejudices would stop. It probably would take a long time until human and Vampire would really start to trust each other. He, himself, distrusted Luhan and the others and Hana probably was the only one whom he really liked from them.
It had took him a while though but Hana still had what many Vampires lacked or had lost through their longevity: humanity. She still had her humanity but it was a only a matter of time until she would lose it completely... or maybe not. There was still hope left that she would not change too much. Up until now it didn't look like it and he hoped that it stay like that.
“Is it that bi building over there?” Minho pointed at a big building, which looked like it was built in the times of the renaissance. In front of the gate was a statue and the gate itself was propped with short pillars. Above the entrance was a balcony with a balustrade, on which four more pillar stood, which hold the triangular roofing. A tower with a domed ceiling could be seen behind it.
The whole building was made out of the same stone and Jonghyun was sure that it was sandstone. Was once was white and bright, was now dark and muddy, caused by withering, time and weather. “Really, that they used the State Capitol of Wyoming as their blood bank. What a shame.” Onew said nonchalantly. “How do you know?” Key raised his brow because he never knew that Onew was interested in history. “I read it somewhere. A history book, I guess.” Onew shrugged.
In the next moment he sounded as clueless as ever and Key rubbed his temples. “Holy...!! Damn Vampires!” He shouted out loud as a Vampires suddenly appeared on their war. Onew hit the break quite hard and he hoped that no one had hurt themselves. The Vampire shot the a cold gaze, before he pointed at a broad street at their right, which was located next to the state capitol.
The street would le
