The Misfits“Why are you crying, Hana?” D.O. smiled as he saw the tears roll down her face. With silent sobs, Hana wiped the tears out of her face. She wanted to hug D.O. so badly, but she knew that he hated being touched. “I... You... Isla...” Somehow, that little girl, who had helped D.O, reminded her a bit of Mari. “I'm so sorry,” was the only thing she could say, not able to stop her tears. “I'm so sorry,” she sobbed uncontrollably.
What a silly girl, D.O. thought and his gaze softened. As D.O. hugged her, Hana stiffened and stared at him with wide eyes. “It's okay. It is not like I am completely reluctant to physical contact,” D.O. patted her head as she buried her face at his shoulder. “You don't have to be sorry. She died and it took me a while to get over it. You know... she was like my own little sister. I haven't seen my real sister for over hundred of years now,” there was something bitter-sweet in his voice. To be exact, it was over two hundred years now since the situation between werewolves and Vampires had worsened.
As Hana wanted to say something, D.O. shook his head. “No, don't feel sorry for me. I know how you feel and I have to be sorry, you know. You and your sister... I should have talked to you. I mean, I should understand you the most, right?” He didn't know how to approach her since he didn't know what kind of threat she was to them. Hana was a genuine, kind woman, he had come to realize that.
“What happened after that?” D.O. let out a sigh and patted her head. “Well...”
Not his fault. It was not his fault. “It is not my fault!” D.O. cried out and punched the air. Hands closed around his arms and held them in a tight grip. “Calm down.” A voice said, and D.O. stared into familiar brown eyes. “You,” he whispered as he saw the Vampire. Luhan let go of his hands and sat back on the chair. “Calm down.” Luhan put a bit of force behind his words. Strangely, it didn't work on D.O, who immediately sat up.
“Vampire!” D.O. hissed, his hand closing around Luhan's throat. The two of them crashed onto the ground, but much to D.O's surprise, Luhan didn't move. His gaze was cold and distance, the complete opposite to D.O's, which was hot and angry. “I said that you should calm down.” A heavy force pushed D.O. down from Luhan and sat him down on his . D.O. took a shaky breath while he tried to pushed his anger down. “Where am I?”
Luhan slowly stood up and wiped the dust from his clothes. “In one of my mansions.” There were many Vampires around them. Too many Vampires, and D.O. knew that he couldn't escape. He abolished the thought of escaping immediately and focused on the guy in front of him. “Who are you? And don't try lying to me. I can smell it if you lie.” A smile appeared on Luhan's face, and he didn't doubt a single word.
He was sure that D.O. could do that, but Luhan wasn't just a mere human. “My name is Luhan. I am the throne successor of the Vampires.” It was like he received a hit with the hammer and the room started to turn upside down in front of his eyes. “What?” The throne successor? That guy? “You are making fun of me, aren't you?” Luhan straightened his back and cocked his he
