The Misfits“Elijah.” Arms wrapped around his waist and he could feel lips touched his neck and teeth scratching over his skin. Eve wore a bloody red dress, unlike many other people, who came to war black dresses. Elijah himself wore black as well, paired with gold and red, the colors of kings. “Seems like your wounds have healed properly, hm?” She looked as stunning as before and there were no signs of any injuries.
His blood has worked wonders on her body, but at the moment he could care less about that. “The others are ready,” she whispered into his ear. He could feel Cosma's and Damian's presence coming nearer. They stopped in front of the door though, out of respect. Nathanael was not as respectful though; he simply opened the door and walked in, Matthew and Basil right behind him.
“Elijah, they are all waiting.” Nathanael sounded as cool as ever. No, he sounded uninterested in all that. Elijah knew that the shorter Vampire didn't have any interest in things like socializing. Not that Elijah was interested in it as well but they were necessary or his people would hate him even more. “Do you think your brother will come?” Basil was as skeptical as ever but it was nothing new actually. “He will come.”
He knew that Luhan would come; he was his brother after all and it was more than a feeling. “Why are you smiling?” Nathanael tilted his head slightly while staring at Elijah with and Empty gaze. The king of Vampires hasn't even noticed that he smiled but it didn't disappear, even though Nathanael had pointed it out.
It wasn't a smile of joy, it was a smile of excitement. For over hundred years he hasn't seen his brother; his little and weak btother. His brother, whom his father had announced as the legitimate king. Until today Elijah couldn't understand what was so special about Luhan. His mother had been a concubine; a simple woman of lower social status.
Scum, compared to his mother, that woman had been scum. Scum from a lower social status. After the death of his mother Elijah had been sure that his father wouldn't re-marry anyone. He hadn't been the type of guy who would fall for a woman or in general, he hadn't been the type of guy who had showed any interest in women.
The marriage between Elijah's mother and his father had been something political, not a marriage because of love. "I can't wait to see him," Elijah muttered and a frown appeared on Nathanael's face. "I don't understand you."
For someone pragmatical like Nathanael, it was quite hard to understand actions, which were out of his own norm. He couldn't understand emotions like love and joy; he could understand emotions like hate and fear though, but he himself couldn't feel them. An emotionless killing machine, that was what he was.
"You don't have to understand me." Elijah didn't expect that from Nathanael, as long as he did his job. "Matthew." The other Vampire lowered his head slightly. "You know what we talked about, right? I won't tolerate any kind of failure today."
