Lee Minhee, a young 15 year old girl that was extremely beautiful,  
recently became blind. Why? Because of an evil person. Being  
beautiful, she was hated by many girls at the orphanage, and one day,  
one of them decided to drug her. The drug had caused her to become  
blind, but no one knows for sure if it's permanent or temporary.

Minhee was somehow separated from her parents and brother when she was  
4, and was sent to the orphanage. After becoming blind, she realized  
that she wanted to go find her parents and also pursue her dreams, so she ran away.

She packed her  bags and caught a taxi to Seoul, barely having enough money to pay for  
the cab fare. When she reached her destination, she met an old lady as she finding her way around. 

The old lady was very kind, and led her to Woollim High, where no student was turned down because they couldn't pay for the tuition fee, didn't have a home, or didn't have the talent. Minhee gratefully thanked the lady and headed inside the school.

Once inside, one of the teachers greeted her and led her into the  
principal's room. She sat down and waited for him to come. Being  
blind, she couldn't see him, but she could obviously hear his  
footsteps heading towards the door. She stood up and bowed to him as  
he entered.

"Ah, hello. You must be Lee Minhee?" he questioned.

Minhee nodded. "Neh. I'm Lee Minhee. I came from an orphanage, and I  
would like to become a student here at Woollim High. Ever since I was  
a kid, I've had a passion for music, and now, I would like to actually  
achieve my dream. But the thing is... I'm blind..." her voice trailed  
off as she said the words.

"Don't worry. It doesn't matter that you're blind. If you try, you  
will definitely succeed. I can see that in your situation, Woollim  
High is your only hope, am I correct?"

"Yes. I also want to find my parents, who I was somehow separated from  
as a child."

"Ah. I can help you with that. But for now, you need to rest. I'll  
have Ms. Ahn you to the dorms. Your roommates will probably be  
there right now, so go ahead and meet them. I'll put a schedule  
together for you as soon as I finish your registration."

"Kamsahamnida!" Minhee bowed and left as Ms. Ahn led her to the dorms.

"This will be your room, which you will share with two other students.  
Go inside, they're in there right now. I'll be going." Ms. Ahn said.

Minhee thanked Ms. Ahn and headed inside slowly, not knowing what to  
expect.

"Oh, hi! You must be our new roomate!"  a cheerful voice exclaimed.
Minhee froze, a bit surprised.

"Oh I didn't mean to scare you. I'm Hyorin. And this is Amber." she  
said, pointing up to another girl who was on the top bunk of the bed.

"I'm... Lee Minhee..." she said weakly.

"Yay! We're roomies!" Hyorin exclaimed, dragging Minhee to the bottom  
bunk of the bed to sit.

"So, tell us all about you." Amber said, from her spot on the top bunk.

"Neh. I'm Minhee. Uhm. I've been living at an orphanage ever since I  
was 4, because I was somehow separates from my parents. Now, I became  
blind, and I'm really desperate to find my parents. That's why I came  
to Seoul. Well, the main reason at least."

"Oh my... You're blind? I'm sorry to hear that." Hyorin said.

"It's alright. It could've been worse. The person who drugged me and  
made me like this could've killed me instead. At least I'm still  
living." Minhee stated.

"Well, anyways, we'll be your best friends and family! Right Hyorin  
unni?" Amber chimed.

"Of course! Welcome to the family Minhee!"

They both gave Minhee a big bear hug. Minhee felt so happy to be able  
to have friends like this. She never had any real friends at the  
orphanage, so this was something different.

"Okay, you can sleep on the bottom bunk. I'll sleep on the top. And  
Hyorin unni will sleep on the loft. Is that alright with you?" Amber  
asked.

Minhee just nodded and climbed into bed.

"Get a good night's sleep, you'll need it tomorrow for your first day  
of class." Hyorin suggested and turned off the lights.

*I'm so lucky to be able to be here.* Minhee thought before falling  
fast asleep.
