ForelsketSakura's POV:
All day we've practiced and by lunch time, we all gathered at the canteen with Chaeyeon joining us. She had her lunch box with her and stayed with me and Nako on the table. Earlier, she translated what meal we wanted to eat to the rest of the girls who were buying food for Nako and I. She looked at me warmly and smiled. I don't know what she's thinking about and why her mood seem to be fluctuating from time to time. In the span of 6 hours we've spent, she became the nicest, playful and loving leader to the most cold, hot headed and heartless person who seemed to love intimidating her team mates.
"In this company, you have to intimidate your team mates, you have to be tough to be respected, I'm sorry Saku-chan if I am giving you a hard time." She said to me as if reading my mind.
"I understand Chaeyeon-chan." I replied to her.
"To make it up to you, after today's practice do you have anything to do? Any plans?" Chaeyeon asked me.
"I plan to go to the market, to shop for my two kids, Nako-chan and Hi-chan. We didn't get to go yesterday because we were so tired." I replied to her.
"Great. I'll be your body guard and carry your shopping bags." Chaeyeon offered.
"Thanks, but I know you're tired too. I'll go with Nako-chan and Hi-chan." I replied to her.
"I won't take no for an answer, Saku-chan." Chaeyeon replied.
"Okay." I replied to her.
I'm just too tired to even argue with her, I feel physically drained already for how the morning went. If she had to be cold and intimidating for her survival then I'll just let her be. Thankfully, Tomi came to the canteen and saw me. She ran up to our table.
"Kkura Okan." She said as she hugged me.
"Tomi. How's your class? Have you eaten already?" I asked her.
"Not yet, Kkura Okan." Hi-chan said pouting.
"Let's get you some food. Nako, stay here with Chaeyeon." I advised Nako.
My poor baby Tomi looked so tired and out of it. I pulled Tomi to the direction of where the other Team A girls were. I heard Chaeyeon's footsteps follow Hi-chan and I.
"Saku-chan. I'll help her get food. Have a seat please.
"Are you sure?" I asked Chaeyeon and she only nods affirmatively.
"Hi-chan, this is Chaeyeon, she is our team leader, she knows how to speak Japanese, so she'll guide you and translate for you." I told Hi-chan.
"Okay. Kkura Okan." Tomi replied.
"I'll be at our table okay? Do you have your wallet with you?" I asked Hi-chan.
"Yes, Kkura Okan, I have it with me." Hi-chan said smiling as she showed me her wallet.
"Okay." I replied to her and went back to my seat.
Hitomi or Hi-chan or Tomi as we call her back in HKT48 and AKB48 was one of my babies along with Nako. Back in the days, when they didn't have money with them, I'd be the one to cover for their food, but nowadays she and Nako always brought some money with them so they could eat whenever we had schedules. They'd buy me drinks too when they have extra money. I watched as Hi-chan and Chaeyeon went over the counter and they started talking, probably about the food. The line isn't that long. Soon, Min-ju waived me over to help her. She was the one tasked to get me my order and Nako-chan's.
Nako and I stood from our seat and got the trays of food for Nako and I. We moved a little to the end of the table so Tomi could join us. We sat and then Tomi and Chaeyeon got back ftom the counter, Tomi sat beside me as Nako sat to Tomi's front and Chaeyeon was in front of me. Chaeyeon finally introduced us to the rest of the team.
"Saku-chan, Nako-chan, Hi-chan. These are my team mates, Kim Min-ju, Kim Chaewon, Jo Yuri and Kang Hyewon." Chaeyeon said to us.
"Team, this is Miyawaki Sakura, Yabuki Nako and Honda Hitomi, they are new to the company. They are not yet fluent in Korean, so I willl teach Sakura, Min-ju and Kwangbae teach Nako, Chaewon, you can teach Hitomi if she had the time as she is from Class B." She said to the rest of the team in Korean.
"Appa A-Chae, she might be transferred to Team A Class A, according to Class B students, Hitomi is apparently great at dancing and singing, Class B might all be dispersed back to training grounds." It was Hyewon who spoke to Chaeyeon in Korean. I only heard and understood Hitomi once.
As much as I would love to chime in to their conversations, Chaeyeon had a voice as if telling her Team that she was the Law of Training. Like every word she said had a tone of finality and seriousness. Chaeyeon was even scarier than Teacher Sejeong and being that I don't understand a word Hyewon said, I chose to look at my two kids check on them if they were eating their orders of Tuna Kimbap for Tomi, Cheese Kimbap for Nako and for me, a bowl of Bibimbap. Tomi took a bite of Tuna Kimbap and she looked like she wanted to exchange her food with anyone from the team. Min-ju saw Tomi's face and smiled sweetly at Tomi, she took two sliced rolls and exchanged it with half a cup of her rice and Beef Bulgogi, I did the same, taking four slices and giving her half cup of my already mixed bibimbap.
"Saku-chan, Hitomi might be transferred to our team." Chaeyeon relayed to me the news.
"Oh, that's great. Hitomi is an extremely shy kid, but pops off when she dances." I said smiling at Chaeyeon and Hi-chan.
Hi-chan was already eating happily, not minding the conversation going on. It was great to see Hi-chan eating healthily and abundantly. Long forgotten the Tuna Kimbap she ordered, she doesn't like cooked or Canned Tuna, but she'll have it as Sashimi or Nigiri. I'd often cook for these two, their favorite was my Takoyaki and Strawberry Mochi. Which I only cook for them when we don't have a schedule as a J-Pop Idol. They'll sometimes request Oyakodon from me as it was also one of their favorite dishes that I could make. Nako especially loves Oyakodon, she could eat it everyday all day.
After lunch, we went back to our respective rooms. Hi-chan hugged me tightly before letting me walk back to my room. I whispered in her ear.
"Do good, Hi-chan, so you can join our class." I whispered into Hi-chan's ears.
"I'll do my best, Kkura Okan." She replied to me.
"I'll see you after practice. Do well, my Hi-chan. Kkura Okan loves you, no matter what. We moved here to improve our skills, always remember that." I whispered one more time into her ears.
"Yes, Kkura Okan, I'll remember everything and do well with practice, my team mates are good. So you don't have to worry." Hi-chan replied and pulled away from the hug.
She gave me a wide smile and waived goodbye.
"Oh and Hi-chan, I'll be coming home late, so you and Nako should go ahead. Wait for me in our dorm, I'll be home not later than 9 p.m. I will cook you guys dinner and prepare lunches and snacks for tomorrow." I told Hi-chan of my plans for later today with Chaeyeon.
"Who are you going with and where are you going?" Hi-chan asked me before entering her room.
"Chaeyeon-chan offered to help me shop for groceries, we're going to the market later." I replied to her.
"Okay, Kkura Okan. Come home safe, please." Hi-chan said and smiled.
"I will." I replied to her and made my way back to our team's room.
The good thing about my kids is they eat virtually anything, including vegetables, save for Hi-chan who couldn't eat cooked Tuna, it was easy to prepare food for them. Their parents agreed to let the two come with me to Korea with a promise to feed and care for them both like I always did for them even back when we were members of AKB48, I was the only one of the two who held a concurrent positions for HKT48, AKB48 and KIV. I was Captain of AKB48, KIV and a Vice Captain of HKT48.
Having lived alone at a young age of 13, far from my family and comforts in life, I learned how to cook my own meals, take care of my things, do laundry and ironing. I also learned at the young age of 17, that Japan has an unfair treatment of their idols, like HKT48's producer who dated me and the other members just to be able to secure my spot as Center on one of our songs, instead of proving it via skills and level of dancing and singing. Did I regret it? Yes, Did I liked going out with a producer whose age is double my Father's age? No, but at the time, every member of HKT48 had gone out on dates with this certain main producer. We didn't have a choice, that was the difference with Korean Idols and Japanese Idols, it was almost a requirement for HKT48 Senior members to date the producer, unlike in Korea where I can't use the advantage of dating the CEO of my talent company just to secure my spot. No, I would have to dance and sing exceptionally for me to even be noticed.
I'd have to work hard for my fame, as a K-Pop Idol. Which was fine by me if you ask me, it was a better way of selection as opposed to being treated like a symbol or Icon. In Korea, I get dressed based on our concepts, unlike in Japan, where we wear unbelievably short and uncomfortable dresses. It was one of the reaso
