Chaeyeon's POV:

We got back to her dorm and continued preparing snacks for our kids. We're making Spicy Tuna and Mackerel Kimbap for Tomi. I've gotten to know Tomi on a level where we are both comfortable with each other. I happened to ask her about a week ago, the fishes she could eat cooked and she mentioned she eats cooked mackerel. My members are also like Tomi, like Kwangbae who hates pollacks, roes, raw seafood and fermented soy bean sauce, she also doesn't like Chocolate Mint flavored ice cream. Yujin who hated tomatoes and vegetables so she picks off the veggies from stews and other banchans that had it. Minjoo who doesn't pick on foods but is most likely to have gummy bears once she wakes up, she also loves meat. Yena who eats everything except for Mint Chocolate flavored ice cream. Chaewon who likes literally everything I cook.

The whole team have reconvened at the dorm, Eunbi Unnie arrived at Sakura's dorm, in time for snacks, Wonyoung was just in Nako's bed, still not feeling strong enough to get up. Nako and I made sure that she ate lunch and slept after. I also since asked Chaewon to buy her a big bottle of Pocari Sweat to give her back all the electrolytes she lost during her three hours of vomiting. Yujin just sat idly by, Minjoo left with Sakura, Ducky and Kwangbae Hyung. As much as I hated Yujin and her negligence, I couldn't bring myself to be angry at the buffoon, I let Minjoo do whatever she wants, that was a rule I developed with regards to her and Yujin. Especially because she was Minjoo's first love and I was Minjoo's dream partner. She used to have the biggest crush on me but I kept dismissing Minjoo's feelings.

Sakura and I agreed to take things slow, I hate to admit it, but I really liked sleeping beside her. It made my nights less troubled, I no longer dream of Yerin, the last time was Friday last week. Although I still slept lightly, from years of emergencies like Wonyoung's last night. I could say that a night of dreamless sleep is a win for me. We are now left in our own world, Sakura and I, Eunbi Unnie offered to make Samgyetang and dinner all by herself, she had the audacity to shoo the dorm owner Sakura away. We sat together at the living room when her iPhone notified a Facetime request, she answered the call and came to view was her Mother and Father, I knew judging by the way they looked.

"Hi Saku-chan, how are you doing today? Your father and I miss you." The woman said to her.

"I'm doing fine Okan, we are currently on a break from practice, because one of our teammates fell sick last night, so the leader actually requested that we don't practice. You want to meet my team members?" Sakura offered to them.

"Yes, please, we'd love to meet everyone." Her mother replied.

"Alright, here's our leader, Lee Chaeyeon, she's two years younger than I am but dances insanely and could sing very well." She introduced to her parents and panned the phone over to me.

"Hello, Missus Miyawaki, My name is Lee Chaeyeon, you can call me Chaen for short. It's nice to finally meet you, I've been a fan of your daughter back when she was still with AKB48 and HKT48." I replied to them in Japanese.

"Oh, really. Thank you for being her avid supporter even when she transferred to your company, you are still taking care of her. We owe you a lot for this, I hope to see you someday when you guys debuted." Missus Miyawaki replied.

"Oh, don't worry, we are actually a global girl group, so we will have promotions in Japan after a year, we'll be able to come to Japan and see you guys, we are actually about to wrap up the practices and debut soon. Maybe next month. I'll make sure to inform you Missus Miyawaki." I replied to her.

"Oh?! That's wonderful, Chaen. Please, don't be too formal, call me Okan Mizuki, this is her father, Yoshihiro, you can call him Oton Yoshi." She replied to me.

"So you're the leader of your team? Thank you for taking care of my Princess." He replied.

"Oh, it's not just Sakura who I take care of, everyone in the team gets taken cared of by the leader, from school assignments, making sure everyone follows the steps, making sure everyone is fed and had taken their vitamins if there was any or anything in between, a leader in Korean Companies does that. So, you don't have to thank me, Oton Yoshi. It was my job to ensure your daughter's safety anyway." I replied to him with a bow.

"That's quite a lot and Sakura said you were two years younger than her?" Oton Yoshi replied.

"Yes, Oton, I'm two years younger than her." I replied to him.

"How come you are the leader?" He asked me inquisitively.

"Oh uh. That's because I've been training for nine years now and initially, before ending up in this company, I was a JYP Trainee, Twice and 2PM are signed under JYP and even before that I joined KPOP Star 3, it's a talent show, if you don't win, you get to be signed by the top 3 entertainment companies in Korea as a trainee. Also a distant uncle owned my current company so, there's that." I replied.

Sakura was horrified by her father's questions and panned the camera back to her.

"Oton!!! She"s the most hardworking leader too, she created the choreography we are currently practicing, don't grill her. She's a worthy leader." Sakura said admonishing her father.

I giggled at Sakura and her Father talking like old friends, they were sure close to each other.

"I'll pass the phone to the next team member and be nice Oton."

She switched seats with me and taps Kwangbae on the shoulder who was mid-game.

"My parents wanted to meet everyone." Sakura says to Kwangbae and she pauses her game and sits upright.

"This is Kang Hyewon, the eldest in the team previously well now I am the eldest, she dances and sings great." Sakura says to the camera.

"Hello, Mister and Missus Miyawaki, my name is Kang Hyewon, second eldest and I am very pleased to have your daughter as a teammate, she cooks food so well, I always enjoyed the breakfast and lunchboxes she brought us." Kwangbae Hyung said to Sakura's parents earning a giggle from me.

"Oh we are thankful for you and your leader for making our princess welcome." Her Mother replied.

"We're really that way Missus Miyawaki, we take care if each other like Family." Kwangbae Hyung answered them in Japanese.

"Aysha! You are like your your leader. Call me Okan Mizuki and this is my Husband Oton Yoshihiro." Okan Mizuki replied.

"Hello, Oton Yoshihiro and Okan Mizuki. It's an honor to meet you both." Kwangbae replied.

"No, it was our honor of meeting our Saku-chan's Team Members, you guys ensure that our princess is doing well, despite being away from home. Thank you, Hyewon." Okan Mizuki replied.

"Oh, that's not a big deal, Okan Mizuki, she's like a sister to us ever since last week when she got here, we often ask her to cook our breakfast because Leader Chaen was hard to wake up." Kwangbae Hyung spills to Sakura's Parents.

"Okan, I'll introduce you to the next member. This is our youngest member but she's taller than I am, she's 1.71 meters, I can't believe it either, she's a beautiful kid, I hope to have a daughter like her someday, Okan, her name is Jang Wonyoung." Kura-chan cut the conversation.

She pans the Camera next to Wonyoung, who was cuddling Kwangbae Hyung earlier.

"Hello, Mister and Missus Miyawaki. My name is Jang Wonyoung, but my family calls me Youngie. I'm pleased to meet you my Great Grandparents." Wonyoung said smiling at the two.

"Okan, she calls me Grandma, she's the pretend daughter of one of our members and that member was Chaen's pretend daughter." Sakura interferred.

"Oh, wow. She's really sweet and beautiful. I hope to have a beautiful granddaughter like her." Kura's parents gushed.

I don't know if Sakura thought of the things she told her parents. But I'm smiling because she accepted the role of Grandma and Minjoo's Mother.

"Bye Great Grandparents, I need to rest, I'm still not feeling well." Wonyoung says to the camera and waived at Kura-chan's parents.

"Rest well, our dear Great Granddaughter." Both parents said.

"She's the member who fell sick. Poor baby, was vomiting for about four hours." Kura-chan replied to her parents.

Wonyoungie snuggles back into Hyewon's arms, Kwangbae adjusts her posture to accomodate Wonyoung as she plays with her phone.

"Next is my Daughter in the team, she's a beautiful and wonderful kid, she looks and sings like an angel. She's really outstanding with her facial expressions, I hope to have her as a child one day too, her name is Kim Minjoo, Pretend Mother of Jang Wonyoung." Kura-chan says into the camera.

"Hello, Grandma and Grandpa Miyawaki. My name is Kim Minjoo, it's nice to finally meet you both." Minjoo said to the camera.

This introduction went on until she finished introducing Team IZ*ONME, she finished the call sitting back beside me.

"So, you've met my parents, let's meet yours this weekend and I wouldn't take no for an answer, we can invite them to our dorm or go home to your place." She said to me.

I was left speechless, to be honest, I wasn't really close to both parents, even to my sister Chaeryeong, I wouldn't say we were close. After I left my dream company as well as moved to this part of Seoul, far from the capital and far from her, I've been more close to Kwangbae Hyung, Yena and Minjoo as my 'Sisters', the family you choose to protect and love are the ones who puts up with you, though Chaeryeong was never really someone to abandon me, she keeps in touch and often drops by this part of town, she's been trying to spend time with me every Sunday, but I've been rejecting her offers, always telling her that I'm busy practicing, until now, when Sakura came did I start to go back to my old self, the first instance was a week ago, when Chaeryeong dropped by because Ryujin's Mother recently moved to this part of town. I waited for her at the café and she was able to meet Sakura.

"I-I'm not really close with both parents, because they're busy, always and I think until the very last breath they're still busy." I confessed to Sakura.

"I know you aren't, but can you at least act normal? Your Father wanted to have a meal with you." She replied to me.

"I'm also not close to my sisters anymore." I replied to her.

"I also know." She replied and rolled her eyes.

"You want to know something?" She asked me.

"What is it?" I asked her.

"Come with me. Let's buy Ice cream for the rest of our kids." She replied and pulled me away from my seat.

I let her drag me away, I heard her announce to everyone we're buying something. She walks down the hall and presses the down button, her hand never left mine, she still held my hand as if it was the most natural thing she ever did.

"I'm not close with my Parents either nor am I close with my Brother. Both parents were basically absentees when I was growing up, my Mother only spared time to watch plays with me, she always brought me along. Growing up, it was my Grandmother who took care of me. But, I still talk to them, I love them very much, despite them seemingly creating a new life without me."

She held my hand as we walked to the convenience store.

"But despite me not being close to my parents and brother, sheesh, I didn't even got to see Kenshin as a baby, I still tried to spend time and be there for them. I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm telling you that you are lucky to have Chaeryeong, she tries hard to check on you and to be with you, you could at least try harder than what you're doing now." She followed up after not receiving an answer from me.

"Okay, I get your point now, how can you be so kind and nice to everyone?" I asked her absentmindedly.

"Because Grandma Emiko raised me better than my parents did."
