The motel that my father is staying at is in the middle of a shopping center wherein pubs, restaurants, stores are located.

I sigh as I try to find it thru google map.

What is he doing in this place?

He is really trying to hide huh? I think.

It still early afternoon, so I am lucky enough that there aren’t many people yet. Or else I will have to deal with crowds in this narrow alley I am walking on.



Inasikaso naman agad ako ng nasa front desk when I’ve arrived.

The motel is not as bad as I thought, but still quite cramped in my opinion.

Even the hallway is too narrow while I make my way to his room.
 
I knock the door a few times before it opens.



My dad lets me in with an unsure expression.

He looks older than the last time I saw him.

It looks like he hasn’t been shaving and needs a haircut as well.

I scan the room.

It is a bit spacious than I expected.

I am honestly expecting to see his woman, but I guess my dad is not crazy enough to flaunt her in front me.

Thanks God.

I might lash out at her ifever.



He clears his throat after I’ve taken a seat at the only chair in there.

Umupo naman siya sa kama facing me.

Nakiramdam lang ako while I watch him take a deep breath.

I bet he’s nervous.
 

“Kumusta kayo? Kayo ng ate mo?” He starts.

I look at him in disbelief. “What do you think Dad? After you left, do you think everything’s okay lang?” I say coldly. “You should be asking about Mom, too. Among us, she’s the one you hurt the most.”
