Yuri’s POV

It’s almost six in the morning and I just arrived home from work, there were lots of people in the club last night since it’s a weekend and I’m so damn tired that the moment I saw my bed I just threw my body in it not bothering to change and clean up, all I want is to close my eyes and have a good sleep.

I was halfway to dreamland when an annoying sound woke me up, it was my phone.... I groaned “I’m going to kill whoever it is” I rolled over and reached for my phone and sighed the moment I saw who was calling

“CEO Jung.... your timing is...”

“Yah... don’t tell me you just got home?” he asked from the other line

“ne... I just got home and I really, really want to sleep now so.....”

Yunho’s POV

“ne... I just got home and I really, really want to sleep now so.....” I waited for her to finish but then her voice trailed off. She sounded really tired... did she fell asleep?

“so?....” suddenly all I heard is the sound of her steady breathing, somehow it gave me a soothing feeling and a smile unconsciously crept on my face “Yuri-ah... are you sleeping?” I waited for a moment but then I got no answer “Okay... sleep tight pretty, dream happy dreams” I said ever so softly before hanging up.

I noticed I still have this stupid smile on my face after hanging up, I immediately drop it “Yah... Jung Yunho why are you like this?” I placed my palms on my face “Dream happy dreams?!.... really?!... what got into you?!” I shook my head before heading to my room.

Yuri woke up and found her phone on her hand, “Am I talking with someone earlier?” she shrugged the thought off as she rub her eyes and got up from bed, she wobbled to the window and  gasped realizing that it’s already dusk outside and it’s raining so hard, she turned her head towards the wall clock “It’s almost five now... I slept that long?!” she felt her stomach grumble so she headed towards her kitchen to grab something to eat

She was sitting on her dining table with a sandwich on her hand while looking outside as the rain pour so hard, she heaved a loud sigh “Why is it raining so hard?” she mumbled to herself, times like this she really hate the most, being alone in her house, eating alone and with a gloomy weather outside. She was actually planning on visiting the kids on the orphanage but she overslept and it’s raining cats and dogs now so she had no choice but stay at home.

She was about to take a bite on her sandwich when a deafening sound was suddenly heard, the sound she was trying to avoid all her life that she would just choose to be deaf than hear it.... Her eyes widen, the sandwich she’s holding suddenly slip off her hand, her body tensed up and she started to feel weak.

The memories suddenly came back to her flashing rapidly in her mind, so clear that it seems like she’s watching it all happen again “Oh no... no... please no!” she shook her head while covering her ears with her hands, tears started to stream down from her eyes and she felt her lungs starting to lock up making it hard to breath “Seo... seo... hyun!!” she gasped hard trying to get some air from her lungs “No.... no! stop it!” she started screaming feeling so weak and feeling the pain all over her body

She tried her best to limp towards her room and grab her phone the sound still not leaving her ears, she dialed Seohyun’s number but got no answer “p....please!” she gasped, the sound became louder and seemed like reaching towards her making her fall on the floor hands covering her ears, she’s running out of breath so she tried to reach her inhaler which is placed on her bedside table but she couldn’t reach it, she’s losing all her strength... She kept on dialing Seohyun’s number with all the energy she has left but she wouldn’t answer...

She felt like dying, she can’t breathe but she couldn’t stop screaming and sobbing, it’s so clear everything is so clear again and it’s really painful... she’s going to lose it until she saw someone’s name on the call log of her phone, she used all the energy she has left and dialed the number.

Yunho just got out from the shower when his phone suddenly rang, he rushed towards it and smiled upon seeing who was calling “Yuri-ah...” he was cut and his eyes suddenly widen upon hearing Yuri sobbing and gasping for air

“he... help pl...ease...” she cried on the other line, Yunho got alarmed “Yuri!... what’s happening?! Are you okay?” Yuri suddenly screamed so loud making him jump, he started hearing sounds of what seems like sirens on the other line. “ss...sto...op it!” she cried trying to gasp for air

Yunho remembered Yuri’s asthma, without thinking twice he grab his keys and dash out of his house “I’m coming... hold on okay?!” he ran to his car and drove to Yuri’s house without hanging up his phone. Throughout his drive he was listening to her screams and cry and trying to comfort her, controlling himself from panicking. Everytime she scream in agony or gasp for air Yunho unconsciously grip harder on the steering wheel and step harder on the gas making his car roar to life

He reached her house and dashed in, he was forced to break her door for him to be able to get inside. “Yuri!” he called the moment he got inside, he heard gasping and cries from the room so he ran towards it.

He stood at the door, Yuri is there curled up on the floor trembling with her hands on her ears, eyes closed as she try her best to breathe, Yunho’s heart broke upon seeing her like that, he immediately ran to her and hug her,

“p..please stop it!” she cried shaking her head “I... don’t w..want it!”

“sshh... it’s okay I’m here... I’ll stop it” he caressed her head, he’s really confused on what’s happening but he needs to stop it whatever it is. Yuri started gasping for air again making Yunho realize she’s having an asthma attack, he carried her trembling body and placed her on the bed, he got her inhaler and placed it on but it doesn’t seem to be effective that time, Yuri’s losing it she’s turning really pale, her breathing get’s harder and harder, she’s trembling so hard and she doesn’t seem to stop crying making Yunho panic, he doesn’t know what to do “Hey... Yuri look at... look at me” he kept on patting Yuri’s face to get her attention “it’s okay... I’m here... it’s okay” he slightly shook her shoulders

he scratched his head in frustration he doesn’t know what to do, he can’t see her like this it breaks him, he badly wanted to know what’s causing her to be like this... he has lots of questions yet none of them matters now all he wants is to help her, stop whatever it is causing her pain....

He looked at Yuri for a moment and without thinking twice he pulled her body making her sit up and he unconsciously slip his body behind her, he pulled her closer making her back rest on his chest then he wrapped his arms around her tightly from the back pressing her harder to his chest making her feel his breathing and the warmth of his body “It’s okay Yuri I’m here.... now breath with me please” he whispered on her ear, tightening his grip on her to stop her from trembling,

he continued whispering comforting words on her “please Yuri... breath with me... you can do it” he kept on breathing deeply to make her feel the movement of his chest

“Op...Oppa” Yuri cried softly “It hurts a lot” she rest her head on the crook of his neck “please... s..stop it” she whispered before closing her eyes

Yunho tighten his hug “I know... I will.. I’ll stop it.... I’m here I will not leave you” he kissed her head “Come on just continue breathing with me okay?” he buried his face on her hair inhaling her sweet scent

they stayed like that for some time until Yuri’s body started relaxing and stopped trembling, she stopped crying and her breathe slowly steadied making Yunho feel relieved. Once he was sure that she’s already sleeping he slowly and gently move away from her and tucked her on the bed properly.

He sat beside her and look at her face as he remove some hair that got into her face and wipe away her tears “what happened to you Yuri-ah?.. what caused you to be like this?” he whispered caressing her cheek “I never realized I’ll see you like this... it pains me I can’t see you like this again” Yuri’s phone suddenly rang waking him from his trance, he immediately got it and answered it seeing who was calling

“Yuri-ah... what happened? Are you okay? I’m...” Seohyun’s worried voice was immediately heard on the other line

“Seohyun-ah this is Yunho”

“Omo... Yunho Oppa.. where is Yuri? She called me like 8times... did something happen, is she okay?” she really do sound worried

“I... I don’t know... maybe she was calling you first but couldn’t reach you... she called me and she was crying, screaming and everything I panicked so I drove here as fast as I can and found her lying on the floor” he went to the living room and sat on the couch..

“Oh God!” was all Seohyun could mutter “Is she okay now? Where is she? I’ll go there now”

“No need Hyun... she’s sleeping now” there was a long silence until, “tell me Seohyun why... what happened? Why did she suddenly turned like that she was so scared, weak and she said its painful... she kept on telling me to stop it... what is there to stop?” he finally asked

Seohyun sighed “Well I guess I have to tell you.... she... Yuri had a trauma after witnessing her family’s death, she can’t hear fire truck’s siren, whenever she hears it everything comes back to her and... I guess you already witnessed what happens when it attacks her”

Yunho’s eyes widen upon hearing it he ran his hand on his hair “I... I never... she never told me about it” he doesn’t know why but a pang of guilt suddenly hit him. He suddenly remembered hearing a sound of sirens when Yuri called him

“she doesn’t tell it to anyone... she doesn’t want to show people her weakness, she might seem like she already moved on from the past but whenever she hears fire truck’s sirens everything went back and she just breaks down, the wall she created to cover her vulnerability just crashes into pieces and breaks her hard again” Seohyun sighed, Yunho just listened to her “what bothers me is that it been long since she last had an attack... I thought she’s starting to get over it but I think I’m wrong”

“Is it why she always has her earphones with her every time she’s out?” he asked, he noticed it every time Yuri’s out she has something plug on her ears

“Yes” Seohyun simply answered “Yunho Oppa... can you please stay with her until she wakes up? She needs to have someone with her the moment she opens her eyes”

“I will...” After talking with Seohyun and understanding everything Yunho went back to Yuri’s room and sat beside her bed he watch her sleep and adored her pretty face, then it came again, he felt his heart flutter again reminding him that it’s there, that maybe he’s whole again and that it flutters for her, the very person lying beautifully in front of him. He suddenly became sure of what he’s feeling and what he’s supposed to do, all the denial and doubts are gone.

He caressed her cheeks and with a sigh “All these time it was always about me... you were always taking care of me and helping me through my pain... It was always about my pain... I forgot you were also in pain... I never thought you also needed care... my care... I’m sorry Yuri-ah” he smiled at her

“It’s my turn now.... I will take care of you, just let me... I will never let those thing happen again, I will do my best to stop you from hurting.... I promise” he softly place a kiss on her forehead then her cheek “Love...” he whispered to her ear

When two souls that have shed their loneliness, embrace and melt into one, from out of loneliness, love is born

I'm really nervous... this chapter is actually one of my most awaited

This is very important cause it's the turning point for Yunho....

I've thought of this even before I started writing this story and I wanted

to write it the way I actually want my readers to feel it...

I hope I was able to interpret it the way it's supposed to be

I hope I was able to make you feel the emotions I wanted you to feel....
