When Sehun woke up the next morning, he didn’t expect to find Taehee in his arms, sleeping soundly next to him on the ground. When Taehee opened her eyes, she didn’t expect to have her arms around Sehun’s body and their legs entangled with each other. Wasn’t she sleeping on the couch last night? How did she end up on the ground? Taehee shot up immediately in fluster and involuntarily, her vision was directed to the bulge forming on Sehun’s pants. Sehun gulped and he quickly covered his crotch with his bag. Taehee then recalled having their legs entangled together and she was pretty sure that their intimate areas have come into contact with each other. Gosh, how she wish she can dig her hole and bury herself.

“Hmm,” Sehun cleared his throat, “Sorry, it’s morning wood. It’s a… guy thing…”

Both of them looked away in embarrassment and Taehee felt like banging the wall hearing that from Sehun, despite knowing that it’s part of the biological aspect of human body. Thankfully, the librarian arrived and the two of them could finally escaped.

“I am sorry. I should have checked through the library to ensure that no one is inside before locking the door.”

“It’s okay, Ms Kim,” Taehee bowed before making her way out.

Sehun thought that the librarian didn’t have to apologise and instead, he is thankful for last night, which kinda helped in fostering a better friendship between the two of them. Furthermore, he got to sleep with Taehee, with their bodies glued to each other. Rather than calling it an unfortunate event, Sehun sees it as a blessing in disguise.

“I think we should head home to freshen up, since there is still an hour before school starts.”

“Let me walk you home,” Sehun suggested with a smile, as he slid his hand into hers, “I promise that I will not let your mother hit you.”

Sehun thought Taehee would pull her hand away aggressively, but to his surprise, Taehee didn’t. She had let him hold her hand! Sehun could feel his heart doing somersault as he had successfully melted Taehee’s heart bit by bit. Slowly but he surely is progressing. He will make sure to never let go of her hand.

When they arrived at Taehee’s place, they could hear a commotion coming from her house. Taehee hid behind Sehun out of instinct. Sehun squeezed her hand and smiled, giving her an assuring smile. Taehee decided to trust Sehun on this because he promised that he will protect her, no matter what. When Sehun led her into the apartment, the adults at the dining room turned towards the sudden intruders and he was greeted by the older woman’s death glare. She recognised the guy, it was the same guy who came looking for her daughter the other time.

“So it was you who led Taehee astray huh!!” Taehee’s mother yelled as she grabbed Taehee harshly, forcing Sehun to let go of her, “How dare you? Did you do anything to Taehee? You know I can sue you for kidnapping my daughter?”

“Auntie, it was a misunderstanding!” Sehun explained and he saw Taehee shaking in fear, with tears spilling. Her mother’s grip was hurting her.

“Did you sleep with this boy?” Taehee’s mother roared at Taehee and as she was about to strike a blow at the terrified girl, Sehun rushed towards Taehee and the heated woman ended up slapping Sehun’s face.

“Sehun!” Taehee called, as she examined Sehun’s face. There was a red mark imprinted on his cheek.

“Mum! Why did you slap him for?”

“How dare you talk back to me after breaking your curfew and spending a night with this boy here? I did not teach you to commit such indecent act!”

Sehun pushed Taehee behind him, once again protecting her from her mum, “Auntie, we were stuck in the library for a night. I swear, I didn’t do anything to Taehee. I would never force her do anything that she doesn’t want to.”

Taehee could feel a warm tingling feeling spreading through her body upon hearing Sehun’s words. She felt touched that he was trying so hard to defend her, even to the extent of receiving the slap from her mother.

“Taehee never stays out late and she never talks back to me, until she met you, you ill-manner child! I am going to report you to the police for sleeping with my daughter!”

Mrs Oh was about to drag Sehun out of the house when Taehee’s father came forward and gave his wife a tight slap on the face, shocking the woman, Sehun and Taehee, especially the Taehee. Taehee had never seen her father behaving like this. It’s her first time witness her father getting all riled up and slapping her mother.

“Stop behaving like a barbarian, would you?” He bellowed, “Our family became a mess because of you, what else do you want?”

Pushing the blame to solely her mother would be a little unfair. Because her father played a part in destroying their marriage and their family as well. Sehun asked her if she was happy, and she know she would never be happy because of this broken family that she wish she can just abandon and never come back to.

“How dare you slap me?” Taehee’s mother charged towards her husband and when she tried to strangle him, he grabbed onto her arms to stop her. Taehee started sobbing, her mother was turning crazy and it was scaring her a lot. She grabbed onto Sehun’s uniform tightly and Sehun got the signal immediately. She is scared and he must protect her.

Tbh my heart always clench everytime I read this story. This story really made a big impact in my heart. Like when I read this It hurts. Im just i hope the ending was like. Im sorry but more better? I was actually little just little disappointed on how the ending went? I think it would be better if taehee and sehun didn't end up together. I mean yes you can forgive but you can never forget. Thinking how your man cheated is already enough for you to realize the possible things that might happen again in the future. I believe in change but when it comes to this kind of things i think forgiveness is enough. This is just my opinion though so its not important 😂 And i think taehee just love sehun so much to the point that she chose to be with him again. But i was actually hoping for her and junmyeon to be together. So yeah. The ending was still nice though and the whole story was well writtened. I might be back here again soon. Job well done author-nim 🫶

Chapter 30: I think it’s a great choice to let Junmyeon go back to US without Taehee. He deserve happiness too. Taehee is obviously will never move on from Sehun even if she’s already get along with what happened in the past. I don’t know if Sehun deserve Taehee after all of this time but whatever makes Taehee happy, she deserve it. And if by letting Sehun in again in her life makes Taehee happy, then he better worship her like everyday he’s close to death. Taehee not only forgive him and letting him back again but also treating Yeri like she’s her own daughter.

Chapter 22: I can’t stop crying since Taehee discovered about Sehun and Yujin. Like she’s so precious, how can both of them the closetest people in her life hurt her so much? Taehee moving to a new country to start her new life is not an easy decision and I’m glad she tried to find her happiness despite all of the heart break.

“I am not going to show Sehun that I am leading a better life with the appearance of a new guy in my life. If I were to show him that I am better off without him, I would show how happy I have become on my own. I am going to work on self-love first before I ever open my heart again for someone. And If I were to do that, I want to do it because I love him and not to infuriate Sehun or what. Sehun is out of my life, guys.”

I love what Taehee said. She really is healing slowly since the day Jongin and Soojung talk to her. I really really am proud of her.
