“What’s up with that dude?”

Jongin was shocked to see Sehun working on Maths questions during recess. That’s not his best friend, that’s not the Oh Sehun he knew. There is no way Sehun would forgot food for studies. And there could only be one explanation – Oh Taehee.

“I know right,” said the tallest guy in the clique, also known as Park Chanyeol, “Baekhyun tried to make him eat something but he actually said no. Gosh! Today’s menu is Pork Chop burger! How can he say now?”

“He is brainwashed by Oh Taehee,” The oldest guy in the clique, Baekhyun, shook his head as he looked at Sehun working on his assignment diligently.

“What’s their deal this time?”

Baekhyun shrugged, eyes on his burger, “I heard something about Oh Taehee challenging Sehun to score A for every subject for the upcoming examinations.”

“For what?”

“Stubborn Oh Sehun wants to be friends with Oh Taehee and that’s the price he has to pay.”

Jongin wasn’t sure if he heard wrongly but knowing Sehun since their diaper days, there is no way Sehun would be able to get A for every subject within such a short time frame. The only A he has ever gotten was for Physical Education!

“Hey hey,” Sehun slapped Jongin’s arm in a haste as he looked at the three guys staring at him, “Do you guys know how to solve this question?”

Chanyeol burst out laughing and clapped like a seal when Sehun dropped the question, “What is Maths? Is that edible? You ask the wrong people, Sehun. Baekhyun and I have retained for a year! If we could answer your answer, we wouldn’t be here.”

Sehun scratched his head in frustration. He should have known, at this critical moment, he can’t rely on his friends because they are all just as bad in studies as him. He has been working on the same page since last night and he barely solved anything. Well, maybe he did solve one question but he got in wrong anyway. Was he even in school for the past few years? Why can’t he remember anything he has learnt? That’s if he even paid attention in class. Taehee was right, he has flunk his studies real bad and it’s his last year in high school. What is he going to do in the future?

“Give up, bro. That challenge was meant to set you off and you are fighting a lost battle!”

Sehun groaned at Jongin’s discouragement. That’s not what he needs at the moment, he needed someone to help him and encourage him, “Not you too? Baekhyun hyung and Chanyeol hyung have been pouring wet blanket since morning.”

“Because they are right!” Jongin shoved his chocolate milk towards his best friend because he doesn’t Sehun to starve, “You are just wasting your time.”

No matter what they say, Sehun is never going to give up until he reaches his goal. Even if he didn’t make it in the end, he knows that at least he tried his best.

“So, I heard that you gave Sehun a challenge.”

Taehee put her novel aside when Yujin, who is also her desk mate, returned from the restroom and started throwing her questions. Unlike Oh Taehee, Lee Yujin, is a social butterfly with a wide social circle. She is friends with almost everyone in school, except for the untouchable Sehun, Jongin, Chanyeol, and Baekhyun. Taehee may be worshipped by everyone, but she is not someone who can be easily approached. Whereas for Yujin, she is the ball of sunshine that talks to everyone and her jovial personality makes her really easy-going. Even though they have been best friends throughout high school, Taehee still can’t fathom how did two people with completely different personalities become such close friends.

“What else did you hear?”

“I heard that he is taking your challenge very seriously! Some of the girls saw him studying in the library yesterday!”

Taehee rolled her eyes and shook her head at Yujin’s excitement. Seriously, what’s so great about Oh Sehun that every girl can’t stop revolving their lives around him? Yujin isn’t an exception too.

“As a fan of Sehun since year 1, I have never seen him study before in his life! Taehee, you changed the man!” Yujin clasped her hands and cheered, “My best friend changed Oh Sehun! Awww, I am so proud of you, Taehee. You guys are going to make cute babies in the future.”

Taehee made a disgusted look at her best friend for picturing her and Oh Sehun together. She is not going to be friends with Sehun, and she is definitely not going to marry someone like him.

“I wasn’t expecting him to change for me.”

“What?”

“I came up with that challenge to let him know his place so that he would back off and leave m

Tbh my heart always clench everytime I read this story. This story really made a big impact in my heart. Like when I read this It hurts. Im just i hope the ending was like. Im sorry but more better? I was actually little just little disappointed on how the ending went? I think it would be better if taehee and sehun didn't end up together. I mean yes you can forgive but you can never forget. Thinking how your man cheated is already enough for you to realize the possible things that might happen again in the future. I believe in change but when it comes to this kind of things i think forgiveness is enough. This is just my opinion though so its not important 😂 And i think taehee just love sehun so much to the point that she chose to be with him again. But i was actually hoping for her and junmyeon to be together. So yeah. The ending was still nice though and the whole story was well writtened. I might be back here again soon. Job well done author-nim 🫶

Chapter 30: I think it’s a great choice to let Junmyeon go back to US without Taehee. He deserve happiness too. Taehee is obviously will never move on from Sehun even if she’s already get along with what happened in the past. I don’t know if Sehun deserve Taehee after all of this time but whatever makes Taehee happy, she deserve it. And if by letting Sehun in again in her life makes Taehee happy, then he better worship her like everyday he’s close to death. Taehee not only forgive him and letting him back again but also treating Yeri like she’s her own daughter.

Chapter 22: I can’t stop crying since Taehee discovered about Sehun and Yujin. Like she’s so precious, how can both of them the closetest people in her life hurt her so much? Taehee moving to a new country to start her new life is not an easy decision and I’m glad she tried to find her happiness despite all of the heart break.

“I am not going to show Sehun that I am leading a better life with the appearance of a new guy in my life. If I were to show him that I am better off without him, I would show how happy I have become on my own. I am going to work on self-love first before I ever open my heart again for someone. And If I were to do that, I want to do it because I love him and not to infuriate Sehun or what. Sehun is out of my life, guys.”

I love what Taehee said. She really is healing slowly since the day Jongin and Soojung talk to her. I really really am proud of her.
