This shouldn't be how she returned to Korea. Close to two after Taehee left Korea, she wasn't supposed to come back to that heart-dropping news. Taehee should be welcomed with huge smiles and big hugs from her friends; it should be a celebration for her long-awaited return, but here she is, walking into the funeral wake with a solemn expression and a thumping heart. Taehee couldn't take her eyes off the huge smiling photo at the funeral hall. It has been almost two years since she heard about that person and it was as if, that person was long gone from her life. Yet, here she is, paying her final respect before the burial the next morning. Her friends were all there, wearing the same solemn expression on their faces. She stood in front of the photo and bowed. It is such a pity that a young person is leaving the world and Taehee gave the photo a longer stare, before she came to terms with her ex-best friend's sudden death.

Taehee used to hate Yujin for stealing her husband. But spending one year plus abroad, she learned to let go of the hatred and because the person has no more significance in her life, she has slowly forgotten about Yujin. Until two days ago, Jongin gave her a call, telling her that Yujin passed away in a car accident, she then remembered the existence of the girl. She was completely taken aback to hear that piece of news, and no matter how deep their bad blood was, Taehee would never want her to be dead. Afterall, they had been best friends for years, she was her only friend in high school before Sehun came into her life and without Yujin, her school life wouldn't be the same.

Taehee walked towards Yujin's parents and her younger sister, who has now grown a lot older from the last time she saw her, and she gave them a bow, muttering a word of condolences to the crying family.

"Thank you for coming, Taehee. We didn't expect you would come after what Yujin did to you. We are really sorry for her actions..."

Yujin's parents didn't have to apologise because it wasn't their fault at all. Taehee shook her head and smiled, "It's all in the past."

Taehee joined the group of friends shortly and each of them took turn to give her a hug to welcome her back. It was nice seeing familiar faces after living in a city so far away from Korea after so long but among the familiar faces at the wake, she was surprised to not see that one person who got her all nervous at the thought of seeing his face. Nudging Jongin, she asked, "I don't see Sehun?"

"Hmm, Yujin's parents kinda banned him from coming in."

"Why?"

"It's a long story."

Taehee was puzzled. What exactly happened in the past two years?

Suddenly, there was a commotion and everyone turned their heads to where the loud noises came from. And she finally saw the guy who broke her heart two years ago, standing at the entrance with a baby in his arms. Yujin's mum had screamed for him to get out but he kept begging her to let see Yujin for the last time. Baekhyun and Chanyeol tried to calm Yujin's mother down and while Yujin's younger sister tried to convince her mum to let Sehun in because Yujin would probably want to see him more than anyone else. In that two years, Taehee has grown a lot and become a better version of herself. But she wouldn't say the same for Sehun. He looked like he hasn't slept in years, especially with that dark eye circles and heavy eyebags, and he seemed to become skinnier than he already was. The baby in his arms was squirming in discomfort before she started to wail.

"What happened to them, Jongin?" Taehee turned to Jongin, demanding for an answer. Knowing that Jongin shares almost everything with his girlfriend, she turned to Soojung as well, "Soojung? Tell me please?"

Both of them looked like they are having difficulty in making a decision, on whether to let her know or not. But eventually, Jongin led hed out of the funeral hall to explain the story.

"Yujin's parents blame Yujin's death on Sehun."

"Why?"

"Initially we all thought Sehun and Yujin were going to get married, but Sehun's mother disapproved their marriage strongly. So in the end, they didn't and that made Yujin really insecure and sad. Right after she gave birth to Yeri, things got worse. When Sehun brought Yujin to his parents' place to visit them with the newborn baby, Sehun's mother tried to take Yeri away from Yujin and forbid Yujin to see her daughter. Sehun tried to mediate the situation but both his mother and Yujin wouldn't back down and they got into a fight. And in a fit of pique, Yujin pushed Sehun's mother down the stairs."

Tbh my heart always clench everytime I read this story. This story really made a big impact in my heart. Like when I read this It hurts. Im just i hope the ending was like. Im sorry but more better? I was actually little just little disappointed on how the ending went? I think it would be better if taehee and sehun didn't end up together. I mean yes you can forgive but you can never forget. Thinking how your man cheated is already enough for you to realize the possible things that might happen again in the future. I believe in change but when it comes to this kind of things i think forgiveness is enough. This is just my opinion though so its not important 😂 And i think taehee just love sehun so much to the point that she chose to be with him again. But i was actually hoping for her and junmyeon to be together. So yeah. The ending was still nice though and the whole story was well writtened. I might be back here again soon. Job well done author-nim 🫶

Chapter 30: I think it’s a great choice to let Junmyeon go back to US without Taehee. He deserve happiness too. Taehee is obviously will never move on from Sehun even if she’s already get along with what happened in the past. I don’t know if Sehun deserve Taehee after all of this time but whatever makes Taehee happy, she deserve it. And if by letting Sehun in again in her life makes Taehee happy, then he better worship her like everyday he’s close to death. Taehee not only forgive him and letting him back again but also treating Yeri like she’s her own daughter.

Chapter 22: I can’t stop crying since Taehee discovered about Sehun and Yujin. Like she’s so precious, how can both of them the closetest people in her life hurt her so much? Taehee moving to a new country to start her new life is not an easy decision and I’m glad she tried to find her happiness despite all of the heart break.

“I am not going to show Sehun that I am leading a better life with the appearance of a new guy in my life. If I were to show him that I am better off without him, I would show how happy I have become on my own. I am going to work on self-love first before I ever open my heart again for someone. And If I were to do that, I want to do it because I love him and not to infuriate Sehun or what. Sehun is out of my life, guys.”

I love what Taehee said. She really is healing slowly since the day Jongin and Soojung talk to her. I really really am proud of her.
