Timing
Fifteen years and countingThey have only been at the park for less than an hour when Sue said she had somewhere to go to and she will just talk to Kaye and Ian later.
Kaye: Why did you even join us if you were leaving this early?
Sue: Coz I wanted to eat funnel cake and candy apples. Got to go, have fun you two!
Ian: I hope this is not just you ditching us because you’re now a celebrity
Sue: As if you guys are not happy I’m leaving. See you both this weekend!
Kaye: Will you be ok going home by yourself?
Sue: Yes of course, talk to you later
When Sue left, there was this awkward silence between Kaye and Ian and Kaye couldn’t stand it so she spoke first
Kaye: Where to next?
Ian: Up to you, do you want to go on rides?
Kaye: No, you said you are not able to tolerate it well, maybe we could just play arcade games
Ian: Oh ok
Kaye: Is there any game you’re good at
Ian: Shooting galleries and basketball
Kaye: Great! Let’s go win something!
A little while later, Ian and Kaye decided to take a break and sit at one of the park benches. Kaye sighed.
Ian: Are you tired? Do you want to go home now?
Kaye: No...I just wish I would get a call from the agency just like Sue.
Ian: Oh, I’m hoping for that too so that you’ll get to stay and we’ll have more times like this
Kaye: Really? Yeah, me too. I like it that you hang out with us. I finally have someone to help control Sue’s temper. Have you always been this close to her?
