All Or Nothing / Chaesoo

Words are all I have (to take your heart away)

Kim Jisoo, Twitch streamer by day and one of the most powerful leaders in the organized crime world at night. Her looks among her personality helped greatly when first starting out. People underestimated her because of that so never thought on how smart she actually was.

As a young orphan she was taken under the wing of former mob boss CL from a young age. She grew up in this world starting as an associate, not an actual member of the mafia but working with the mafia. She later on got a degree in law and business and eventually moved up from associate to soldier and then Caporegime.

Caporegime is the Captain of a crime family. She had her own crew to manage within the family and had her own location to operate within. It was at this stage where she met her wife. A bubbly, tall beautiful blonde by the name of Park Chaeyoung. Like Jisoo she was underestimated due to her friendly personality and innocent facade. When the girl first came to the law firm, Jisoo was wary of letting her in too much. Eventually the girl simply won her over, and Jisoo had no other choice but to just fall.

Initially Jisoo was worried because yes, her law firm did operate normally aside from the mob business, her lawyers did take regular cases, but things… mob things were discussed in her office every once in a while, things that she had not let Chaeyoung know about. She scared for her safety, she was scared Chaeyoung would run to the hill if she found out. She wanted to keep her girlfriend innocence and brightness untainted she didn’t need to know about the world Jisoo lived in, grew up in.

It wasn’t until an assassination attempt happened that Chaeyoung “found out” and by that I mean the girl already knew. She pieced it all together with the constant visits Jisoo received, the constant night “meeting” the girl had. Plus she had overheard a conversation Jisoo had with CL one night. Needless to say Chaeyoung stayed, she didn’t run, she didn’t broke up with Jisoo, she stayed by her side.

Now Chaeyoung stayed by Jisoo’s side, as an employee, girlfriend and eventually wife. But she didn’t work for the mafia. She knew what was going on, what her wife side business was but didn’t actively participate in it unless she absolutely had to. That worked great for Jisoo as she didn’t want her wife to be involved in this world either. And so with Chaeyoung by her side Jisoo made it up all the way to Boss after CL was killed by an enemy gang. CL leaving everything to her protege which bring us to the start of our story.

Jisoo was making her way home just on time compared to the last few weeks. She had been busting heads left and right with people from her crew. Working out a truce with their rival syndicate and trying to figure out their next step as one of their members had decided to go rogue, That was a move Jisoo was not expecting so she had to be on alert.

Getting home “early” after two weeks of not doing so felt so good to Jisoo, she was mentally exhausted and so all she wanted was to have a nice night with her wife, have some dinner, watch a movie, simply spend time with her you know? Jisoo felt a bit guilty, with how busy she was she felt like she was neglecting her wife. You see Chaeyoung’s love language was physical, she didn’t need gifts or fancy dates, all she needed was some good one on one physical contact. And Jisoo usually was more than happy to give it to her, except for this past two weeks.

Opening the door to their house she quickly greeted her dog, Dalgom and Chaeyoung’s creepy yet sympathetic orange fish. Leaving her coat by the entrance she steps in listening for her wife. “Babe, I’m home!” She yelled, throwing her keys onto the side table.

“Weird.” She mumbles usually when she got home and heard Jisoo she’d come to greet her from wherever she was at the house. She pulls out her phone just to make sure there wasn’t any texts she had missed but just like she thought there was nothing. Walking further into the house she tried to listening for any noise that could be her wife only to hear nothing.

“Babe?” She calls out again, making her way up to the second floor. Maybe Chaeyoung was in her study to immerse in her art the outside world was non existent to her. It wouldn’t be the first time it happened.

“Chae? Please answer me, you are scaring me.” She tries again, this time feeling incredibly uneasy. She searches everywhere on the upper floor and the lack of a human sized sun emoji only unnerved her even further. Trying to stay in control she takes out her phone once again and calls one of her most trusted captains.

“Yo.” A friendly yet serious voice comes through.

“I can’t find Chaeyoung.” She states heading down the stairs.

“What do you mean you can’t find Chaeyoung? She’s your wife…”

“I mean exactly that, Lisa. She is not here in our home where she should be.”

“Could she maaaybe be out? She’s forgetful you know she might’ve forgot to let you know abou…”

“She always leaves notes.” She explained, making her way to her office. “With like little sunflowers in the corners, they are really cute actually and…” She trailed off when she walked into her office, something in the middle of her desk catching her attention.

“Choo?”

“Boss? Are you still there what happened?”

Right there in the middle of her desk was a box wrapped in pink paper with a black ribbon, her name scribbled on it.

“.”

“? What ? What’s happening? Jisoo you better answer cause my wife is waking up due to my heavy breathing and you know just how bad tha…

“There’s a package.” She tells her, her missing wife and the presence of the box making her blood run cold.

“Oh, don’t open that. That’s probably a bomb so like don’t…”

“I don’t think it’s a bomb.”

“What? Jisoo I specialize in bombs so I have enough experience to know you do not open an unknown bo..”

“I opened it, it’s not a bomb.”

“..Box. Right… of course, ignore the bomb specialist.”

Jisoo finishes unwrapping the box, her frown deepening as nothing but a white envelope sat there, with shaking hands she opens it to take out it’s content. All of a sudden Jisoo’s heart started beating so loud she could not hear anything else, fear and anger running through her entire body.

In the palm of her hand sat her wife’s wedding ring and a picture of her gagged and tied to a chair. Her eyes looked puffy and red a sign that she had been crying and her eyes portrayed the most terrified looked she had ever seen. And oh Jisoo was definitely killing someone with her bare hands soon..

“Lisa.”

“I’m assuming it wasn’t a trap or poison since you are still alive. You know you should really lis…”

“Wake up your wife and call everyone in.” She speaks calmly but in her eyes there was a look of rage and determination.

“Oh . Holy . Okay I’ll see you at YG. And boss… we are going to get her back.”

----------------------------------------------------

Jisoo wastes no time in making her way to their offices YG was the name of the building she owned. She parks her black Jaguar XF in her designated spot on the basement and head to her private elevator, punching in her code her breathes deeply as the elevator goes down and into their war room.

This room not only served as their war room but another part of the basement floor served as their weapon storage of course there was other rooms for… other things. As the elevator doors open she stepped into her office and made her way to the center room and was glad to see everybody else already there.

“Boss.” Jennie, her underboss greeted.

Jennis as an underboss is pretty much Jisoo’s second in command. She had Jisoo’s permission and trust to handle and settle disputes without involving Jisoo herself. In other words she’s basically groomed to replace Jisoo if she would ever go missing. At the same time her and Lisa also fulfilled the role of consigliere when needed, basically they are the ones who help Jisoo make impartial decision based upon fairness for the good of the mafia.

When Lisa woke up her up with the words code chipmunk leaving Jennie knew whatever business they had to attend was indefinitely on hold. You see Chaeyoung might not take part of their activities but she was one of them. Her lovely and sincere personality was enough to win everyone over, everyone in the family cared for her and so when the news reached everyone they wasted no time in getting to work. Finding her and getting her back safely was their only concern.

“Have we heard from the Velvets or any of their people tonight?” Jisoo asked crossing her arms.

“Not since the treaty.” Lisa confirms.

“And from GG?”

“G-Dragon mentioned he had a meeting with their leader this week. As per his confirmation there was nothing amiss. Taeyeon seemed more than happy to work with us.” Jennie tells her nodding towards GD, another one of Jisoo’s captains.

Jisoo keeps looking at the table. “So we’ve heard communication from everyone but the Velvets…”

“You think they did it?” Lisa asked her hands in fist. After Jisoo, she was the closest one to Chaeyoung, closely followed by Jennie. It was only natural. Jisoo and Jennie pretty much grew up together when they got married they were pleasantly surprise to see their wives get along so well with one another. So to them this wasn’t just a job, no, to them this was personal.

Jisoo took a deep breath and takes the envelope out. “This envelope has La Rouge’s logo on it. But as far as I’m concerned their leader refuses to add any of their club’s logos when making threats. Plus it looks nothing like the envelopes we usually receive their invitations is. So either they took her or someone wants us to believe they did.”

“Okay.” Jennie nodded. “I’ll have Solar see what she can find out, I believe she’s still close to…”

Jisoo nodded and interrupted her with the cloaking of her gun. “Jennie and Lisa you are coming with me. GD call Solar make sure to fill her in and get in contact with Momoland, have someone contact Yeonwoo, since apparently she decided to go rogue we have to look out for her too.”

-----------------------------------------------

After receiving a call by GD and Solar about the situation it was safe to say The Velvets were being framed. Solar confirmed their one of their captains Park Sooyoung got in contact with them recently about a deal so that meant there was no way they could’ve done this, their leader was strategic so it would make no sense to jeopardize a deal that important.

So now Jisoo, Jennie and Lisa were on their way to Red Velvet’s turf, invitation be damned, however as they arrived the girls noticed their headquarters were just as frantic as theirs was, another hint that there was something amiss in this whole thing. They are led to a back room and are asked to remove their weapons before coming in. Not being their rodeo they give up their weapons… their visible ones at least.

Inside, their leader Bae Irene was pacing back and forth as her underboss Kang Seulgi standing behind another girl, Kim Yerim who was typing furiously in a computer based on experience she was probably doing something very illegal as she usually did just for fun.

“You are late.”

Jisoo frowns defensively. “Excuse me?”

“I have been waiting for you for hours.” Irene explains and something in the tone of her voice told everyone her patience was none existent.

“Last time I checked communication goes both ways.” Jisoo speaks calmly. “If it was so urgent for you to see me you could’ve called.”

“I…”

“She has been busy looking for Seungwan.” Seulgi says before her boss could talk, knowing if they let them, both girls would argue endlessly about who needs to call who. “Yeri is hacking into every security feed available.” She continues nodding at the girl in front of her. “I was contacted by Solar a few moments ago, I think is safe to say your wife has been taken too?”

Jisoo sighs in response and nods, she briefly looks at Jennie with a nod giving her the okay to speak.

“Your assumptions are correct, Chaeyoung was taken today.” Jennie confirms. “From what we know her and most likely your wife as well were taken to some sort of warehouse. We haven’t been asked for a ransom or been contacted for anything else.”

“And it seems they tried to make it look like your people pulled this off.” Lisa chimed in, placing the envelope on Irene’s desk. Irene uncrossed her arms and reached for the envelope noticing how their club logo was imprinted on it. “Is only look we have been invited to plenty of your reunions to identify it was fake, hence why we are here.”

“So this confirms that someone’s trying to get us to wipe each other out.” Irene says passing the envelope to Seulgi.

“Kidnapping like this isn’t our style.” The door to Irene’s office is open as a tall brunette makes their way in.

“Joy, please do come in, uninvited as you usually do.” Her boss said sarcastically.

“We don’t treat our hostages like this, besides everyone likes Chaeyoung, why would we kidnap her?” Joy continues ignoring her boss. “Plus I have just received a call from Nayeon, it seems that Yeonwoo had been asking around for freelancers, and if the rumors are true about her going rogue…”

“Then it means the is creating her own team.” Jisoo speaks, her jaw tight. “Lisa make sure GD knows how important it is to get information out of momoland.”

“Joy, do everything you can and contact who ever you need to to find out more about Yeonwoo.” Irene orders before turning to look at Jisoo.

“If you get information before we do, can I count on you to make sure Seungwan is safe as well?” The leader asks and it was clear it was an honest request, no business, no undertones, nothing all she cared about was her wife and making sure she’s safe.

Jisoo from her side understand where she’s coming from and she can see the underlying tones of desperation in her question, something Jisoo could understand. “As long as you do the same for Chaeyoung if you get there first.”

Irene held her gaze and offered her hand to Jisoo, the latter equally as serious shook her hand before both girls nodded solidifying their alliance.

------------------------------------------

“Hey.”

Jisoo turns around from where she was standing looking at the window in her office. Jennie was closed the door gently as she walked in.

“Rosie’s tough.” She said. Jisoo might look calm and collected on the outside but Jennie knows well, they did grew up together at the end of day. So it was enough to see how her boos checked her phone every five seconds, how she crossed and uncrossed her arms, how she bit her lip to know that she was having a hard time with this. “She’s strong. If anyone can handle this, it’s her.”

Jisoo sighed and turns back to looked at the window. “I received a call from her, just now.”

“What?” Jennie’s eyebrows shot up in surprise.

“She said, they are letting her talk because apparently it’s policy, let the victims call to know they are okay so a ransom can be offered and delivered.” She spoke quietly almost calmly but the crack in her voice showed otherwise. “She said she could hear screaming from another room… I think it’s Seungwan.”

“Jisoo…”

“I’m so sick of driving around and calling everyone only to come up empty.”

“Chu, you are do…”

“Boss.” Lisa’s voice comes from the otherside of the door and Jennie looks at Jisoo for approval to open door after receiving a nod Jennie opens the door to let her wife in.

“We received a call, from one of the freelancers Yeonwoo had asked about, IU, she’s working as a double agent told us Red Velvet wants to meet at Elderwood docks, our sources say police has received noise complaints near that area.”

“Elderwood docks?”

Lisa looked down to her phone to confirm. “Yeah. Joy mentions they were told to meet us at on Warehouse 13 not far from the docks.”

Jisoo walked to the strong box she had on her office and pulled out her gun, a gift by none other than her wife, it was a golden double action revolver with their wedding date engraved on the barrel. Loading it and hearing the satisfying click Jisoo turned to the other two.

“Let’s go kill some people.”

The drive was long and Jisoo was fidgeting in place, Lisa was making sure her rifle was loaded, while Jennie added the silencer to her own gun. Their sniper specialist Somi was the driver for tonight, as she was the best out of all of them in that department.

“Boss.” She said, breaking the silence. “Homebase has our location and are on standby, I’ll be located on the rooftop near warehouse 2, if you need me somewhere else just say the word.”

Jisoo nodded in affirmation as Somi parked the car a few blocks away from the location, she headed to her location while Jisoo and and the rest of the girls got out and headed to the warehouse. “Let’s finish this.”

Somi worked quickly and managed to get rid of the lookouts outside of the warehouse, the three girls made their way in and worked equally as quickly as well as putting their stealth abilities to good use. The air inside the warehouse was stuffy and expected scent of fish lingered in the air. Jisoo tried to remain calm as she heard gunshots ringing followed by the sound of whimpering.

Jennie and Lisa worked on clearing the rooms they passed through and it was only a matter of time before they reached the double doors leading to the inside of the warehouse. She tightened her jaw and loaded her gun, praying to whoever is up there that Chaeyoung is alright.

When she opened the door, her rage became hard to control as she sees at Yeonwoo standing by the fallen body of her freelancer with their gun pointed at Chaeyoung, the latter had tears running down her face, There was swelling around one of her eyes, blood dripping from the corner of and other cuts scattered around her body.

“And just what in the ing do think you are doing?” Jisoo spoke, desperately trying to summon every once of control she had to not shoot Yeonwoo then and there. ‘She doesn’t know, we know’ she kept repeating in her head. ‘Be smart about this.’

“I was saving her believing or not.” Yeonwoo said with a half smile her gun still pointing at Chaeyoung.

Jisoo gave her a side smile. “Of course you are.”

Yeonwoo had no time to react as her gun flew from her hand as Jisoo shot at her wrist, Jennie was quick enough to shoot at one of her legs while Lisa being an expert in stealth had walked behind Yeonwoo to wrap a chain around her neck keeping the other girl from collapsing on the from, her hands went to try and pull around the chain, but with one leg and a hand shot it was clear to the girl she had been made.

“Keep and eye on her.” Jisoo tells Jennie quickly as she runs over to Chaeyoung.

“Chu.”

“Shh.. baby… don’t talk. I’m here, you are safe now.” She cooed, carefully releasing Chaeyoung’s arms and legs from the chair, the older girl tenderly caressing her face, then her eyes searched for any other major injury before pulling her close her lips on the blonde’s forehead, sighing in relief. “We gotta get you some help baby, GD is on his way to get you out okay.”

“No, don’t leave me, please.” Chaeyoung pleaded her eyes feeling with tears and with as much strength as she could gather wrapped her arms around the girl. “Please, don’t leave.”

“Chaeyoungie.” She whispered. “You hate watching me work, and Chu really has to work right now.” She tells her still holding her close.

“Then work quickly.” The other girl tells her and Jisoo can’t help but chuckle a bit. Still beaten and hurt Chaeyoung was as adorable as ever.

“Okay, but you gotta close your eyes if you don’t want to see okay?”

“‘Kay.”

With one last kiss to Chaeyoung’s forehead Jisoo stands up and tells Lisa to trade with her, quickly enough Jisoo is now holding the chain on a still struggling Yeonwoon while Lisa hurries up to keep Chaeyoung company, helping her to sit upright as they wait for help to come.

“Let’s see Yeonwoo, why did you kill your buddy over there?” Jisoo asked gripping the chain firmly and pulling up. Yeonwoo gurgling for breath before Jisoo relaxed again to let her answer.

“Oh fu…” Jisoo janked up again before relaxing her hold again.

“He…” She struggled to say. “Wasn’t as smart as the other one and tried to double cross me, she was working with the velvets this whole time.”

“The other one?” Jennie asked. “You mean IU?”

Jisoo yanked the chain again. “Answer her.”

“Yes.” She croaked out. “IU asked for more money to kill Bae’s wife in exchange of working for me, so I put her in charge.” She explains her voice hoarse. “So Kai thought if he double crossed me he could outsmart me.”

“Why did you want to kill my wife?” She asked coldly, Jisoo choking her again until the girl could no longer stand up right.

“Her body was supposed to be delivered by the docks for you to find. Same thing with Son, that way you and the velvets could kill each other.”

Jisoo let her go making the girl fall down to the floor harshly, her breathing was desperate and she didn’t know whether to hold her hand, her leg on her neck.

“You dumb .” Jisoo tells her with a side smile. “You thought you could destroy the alliance between the two biggest families and for what? Some delusional idea that you could take over?” She chuckled and walked a few feet away to grab a crowbar nearby. “You see, Yeonwoo, you gotta be smart for that and if you were you would’ve known the one double crossing you this whole time was IU” She said rearing the crowbar back and hitting the girl on the leg, the sounds of her screams and bones breaking echoing through the warehouse.

“And if you were smarter you’d know to never kidnap my wife, you pathetic, dumb, ing piece of .” The crowbar collided on Yeonwoo’s body after each word. And she could’ve kept going if it wasn’t for Chaeyoung soft ‘Stop’ coming out from behind her.

Jisoo stopped and lower the crowbar breathing heavily and with satisfaction. “You are right, baby, wouldn’t want to spoil the fun for Irene who I’m sure is more than happy to finish the job.”

Jisoo once again kneeled by Chaeyoung as Lisa and Jennie made sure to wrap Yeonwoo nicely for the arrival of the Velvet. The older girl once again wrapping her arms around her wife, cooing in her ear this time it was hard to keep her eyes from tearing up in relief.

“I gave you that gun.” Chaeyoung mumbled and Jisoo chuckled.

“Yeah, it’s my favorite gun.”

“From your favorite girl.”

Jisoo nodded, her lips carefully pressing against the younger girls. “From my favorite girl.”
