Camping (Part 1)

Four Ways

"Stop being so slow, Bobby!" Hanbin said chipperly to the half-asleep boy.     A dark aura of dread hung around us as Bobby, Hanbin, Junhoe, and I, all clad in camping worthy shorts and T-shirts, neared Donghyuk's house. We were on our way to meet him before we met the rest of our school group for the camping trip. We arrived at his house and patiently waited on the sidewalk for the lazy blonde, but as time went by there was no sign of him.     I really was not in the mood for this today. Last night I'd got my chewed and spat out by my mother for sneaking out with Jennie and now I had to spend the next 48 hours with Bobby, the boy who had caused it, totally not my idea of fun.     "So, if he doesn't get up does that mean we can all go home?" I asked trying to find a way to get out of the trip.     "I second that motion," Bobby said momentarily lifting his head up before letting it drop down dramatically.     Hanbin frowned at us. "No, he'll be out in a minute."     "Donghyuk!" a frustrated cry floated out from the house which confirmed Hanbin's suspicions and caused him to smile at us. A few moments passed before the sound of the door flying open caught our attention and we spotted the boy in question come bounding out of the house, clad in hiking clothes and a backpack.     "Be careful, Donghyuk!" His mother called from the doorway as she waved us all off.     "I'll be fine!" He called back waving a noncommital salute her way.     "So, guys, you looking forward to this trip?" Donghyuk asked excitedly, almost as if he hadn't just woken up.     Meh.     "It should be fun, DK. Apparently, Mr Yang is going to let us build our own fires." Junhoe replied with a questionable look in his eyes. I've seen that look before and it definitely means trouble. I hope this kid doesn't decide to go all Firestarter on our asses and end up killing us all.     "Why does that not sound like a good idea?" I asked.   *****   I was startled awake as the bus jolted to a stop, signifying the arrival at our destination. Slowly blinking the sleep from my eyes as people stood from their seats. I felt a pressure against my head, looked over and realized I was slumped over against my brother.     I'm not having this idiot using me as a headrest. God no. I violently pushed his head off of mine and stood up. He sat up straight in his seat and yawned then looked over to me, completely oblivious as to what I had just done.     "Listen up, students. We're heading deep into the woods, so keep up with me and stay close to each other." Mr Yang grumbled from the front of the bus before exiting lethargically.     "Are you going to ditch us for one of your girls now we're here?" Bobby asked handing me my backpack as we exited the bus.     I glared at him. Of all the things to say that probably wasn't the best, especially after he'd outed me yesterday morning. "What's it to you?" I answered.     "I don't care but I have a feeling they do," Bobby said looking over my shoulder to the four girls, who were standing with their respective friends, all looking in my direction.     I shook my head.     "Why not?" Hanbin inquired walking off of the bus.     "I'll see them later, I mean it's not like we can go anywhere, plus If I did want to walk with them I'd have to choose one and that would just hurt the other three," I paused to look at the girls. "Just seems a bit pointless."     "Fair enough." Hanbin sent me a sympathetic smile and kindly took my bag from my shoulder, placing it on his own. Sometimes I wish Hanbin was my brother instead of Bobby. Not that I didn't love my brother, it's just sometimes he could be slightly insensitive. Whereas, Hanbin was more considerate, especially towards his friends and family.     "Thanks, Binie."     "No problem, Bobby 2.0."     We began our hike through the woods with Mr Yang leading the way. The walk was mostly uneventful until we decided to rest after half an hour. After a minor scare and a near-fall on Junhoe's part, we resumed our journey through the w
