Gazing upon the sky, I was struck by the darkness of the night, darker than smeared charcoal, small splashes of gold glittering here and there as if an artist had brazenly attempted to light it without aim; smoky grey clouds deteriorate under the fluorescent silver beams of the moon, as if they were shadows to be banished.       It was breathtaking. It made me envious that I was stuck in bed and couldn't explore the beauty of the night.     Jisoo had left me a few hours ago stating that she homework to do for tomorrow. The medicine she had given me was working wonders and I was feeling a lot better. Alone, I spent my time bedridden, watching animal documentaries until my mother and Bobby had returned home. When they finally did return I was forced to eat a soup which visually I can only compare to dishwater and it didn't taste any better either.     Shifting to see the clock on my bedside table, I saw that the time was 1:04 am. Damn, how did it get so late so quickly? Feeling the need to sleep grow more prevalent, I pulled my covers over my head, closed my eyes and began to count sheep.     One sheep. Two sheep. Three sheep. Fou-hold the up. What the was that?     I was barely halfway to ten sheep when I was disturbed by rapid tapping on the glass of my bedroom window. My eyes screwed shut and I hid my head under the blanket hoping the noise was just bird or something else completely harmless. I heard the tapping again but this time it was considerably louder. My mind immediately went into panic mode. I was too young to die. I hadn't even had time to see Red Velvet in concert yet.     Grabbing the nearest blunt object I could find, being my old hockey stick, I bravely ventured to the oncoming danger. At the window, I was met by a figure standing outside my window, now with arms crossed and an exasperated look.     "God, Y/N, just let me in. It's cold!"     Jennie?     What in the name of holy Jisoos was Jennie Kim doing outside my window at one o'clock in the morning? Putting down the hockey stick, I unlocked the window for Jennie to climb through. She jumped through maintaining her usual grace. I opened my mouth to speak, she slapped her hand across my mouth and pushed me hard against the wall next to the window. Now I know she's legit got a problem with pushing people against walls. This is like the third time she has done this now. I'm going to start wearing shoulder pads around her.     "Don't shout, Y/N, I come in peace. You weren't at school today so I thought I'd come and surprise you." Jennie said only removing her hand when she was sure I wouldn't scream.     Goal accomplished. I am well and truly surprised.     "You do realise that I have a front door and that scaling the side of my house isn't required." I snapped, pushing her away from me. I was too sleep deprived to be dealing with this weird .     Jennie smirked at me. "Is that your twisted way of saying you care about me, Y/N?"     "That's not the point," I replied, unable to hide my frown.     "Well then, I don't see the problem," she whispered, before kissing my cheek delicately. I quickly suppressed thoughts of her kissing my lips, anxious to taste her again, to feel her tongue caress mine. Where do these thoughts keep coming from?     All too soon did she pull away. "Get your coat, dear. I'll be in my car." She quietly replied before heading back out of my window and scaling down the drainpipe.     I swear I just told her she could use the front door.     Grabbing my jacket from behind my door, I snuck down the stairs and out the door and jumped into her sleek black car. She revved the engine before speeding off down the street, barely keeping the speed limit. I could tell she liked to bend the rules. She was Jennie Kim, after all.     "Where are we going?" I asked.     "I thought we could go on an adventure," she said, her voice giving nothing away.     I cocked an eyebrow. "An adventure? Now?" I inquired incredulously.     "Yes," she confirmed.     "Jennie, it's nearly dark outside. What could possibly be worth seeing in the dark?"     "You just wait and see, Y/N," she assured me, her lips curled into a knowing smile.     We drove to the outskirts of town, leaving the town's lights and noises behind. We came up the sign announcing they were leaving our town, and the car accelerated as we sped past it. Ever since I'd moved here a few years back with my family I'd never actually been around these parts before.     Jennie the radio and settled for a station playing an upbeat pop song. As she sang along I couldn't help but notice she had a wonderfully unique voice. I realised that I still didn't know that much about the enigma that Is Jennie Kim.     She turned off onto a country road lined with trees, and soon the headlights were the only source of light for miles. All I could see were tall, dark shapes in the distance; the outskirts of a forest, and the only sounds were tires occasionally hitting gravel and static from the radio, which had lost its reception a few minutes ago.     There were no other people, the last car we had pasted was a few miles back.
