Jennie looked at the woman that was standing right in front of them. She was sporting a bob cut, her dark brown hair looked silky and smooth, her features stood out despite the dark, and she dressed sophisticatedly, definitely a woman with class. And when Jennie looked at Lisa, her chest seemed to compress as she saw her girlfriend staring at the woman. Her beauty was nothing compared to Sorn, she’s a goddess, while Jennie was like a damsel in distress that had been attacked by demogorgons.

So she’s Sorn. Jennie thought.

“Lisa” Sorn called out

Jisoo and Rosé were quick to go to Jennie’s side; she silently thanked them for holding her as she saw how Lisa walked towards the beautiful woman. Bora came to Jennie as well and smiled at her daughter.

“Just let them talk, honey” Bora said as she led Jennie to sit down on a bench

Jennie looked at Lisa and Sorn. They were seated on a bench, a distance of a meter separated them from each other, both were looking shy to look at each other, Jennie even caught Sorn blushing when Lisa finally decided to look at her and talk to her. Jennie then felt another presence by her left, she looked and saw Lisa’s father smiling at her.

“Yah, Appa, why is Lisa over there blushing like a school girl while her girlfriend is here pouting like an 8 year old?” Jisoo said as she narrowed her eyes at the two women

“Just let them talk it out. I told Sorn to come here” He said, making everyone gasp

“Dad, why did you do that?” Rosé asked

“Trust me, Lisa will tell you everything once she’s done talking to Sorn” He said confidently

“, does she really need to hug that Sorn woman?!” Dahyun whisper yelled

Everyone looked at them and saw Lisa hugging the woman tightly, Sorn was sobbing on Lisa’s shoulder.

“Honey? Are you okay?” Bora asked Jennie

Jennie just kept silent, no sign of rage or fury, no sign of hurt or anything, she wore a blank expression, her body was calm, her hands unclenched, her jaw relaxed, her breathing was normal, she seemed fine, except for her eyes that looked dull. You see, Jennie had been used to pain, it’s like she was wired to experience every single scenario of hurt and pain; she felt it when she was separated from her real family, she felt it when she was thrown into an orphanage, she felt it when kids from her school bullied her, she felt it when her foster parents did not accept her and disowned her, she felt it again when Ella was taken away from her, she felt it when she realized the suffering her mother had gone through, and now she’s feeling it again as she looks on at her girlfriend hugging another girl right in front of her.

Again, Jennie felt no pain, she just felt…used to it.

“I’m good” Jennie said, smiling at her mother

“Honey…” Bora called out, her brow furrowing as she held her daughter’s hands

“Hey, I’m okay” Jennie said “Where’s Bam?” she asked

“Over there” Dahyun pointed

Jennie saw Bam approaching the two women who were now done hugging. Lisa even brought her hands to cup Sorn’s face and wiped her tears away. Bam then tapped on Sorn’s shoulder and smiled at her, the woman stood up and hugged Bam as well.

Jennie’s eyes then locked with Lisa’s.

Lisa fidgeted with her fingers as she inhaled deeply and looked at Sorn. She saw a tinge of red on the woman’s cheeks when their eyes met. Sorn had changed a lot, she was more mature now than before, she looked like a promising CEO of a fashion magazine, and it actually wouldn’t surprise Lisa if she really was one.

“I’m sorry” were Lisa’s first words

“Why are you still blaming yourself, Pranpriya?” Sorn asked, a smile escaping her lips

“Because it was my fault” Lisa said, bowing her head

“It wasn’t. It was better this way, rather than telling me you loved me and not meaning it at all” Sorn said
