Lisa touched Ella’s cold hands as she smiled at the girl’s soft features; She was surprised to see the girl at her shop and she was more surprised when Ella had told her she had ran away from home and went straight to her instead off to Jennie. But then Ella suddenly felt weak and then she fainted in front of Lisa who was quick to catch her and drive her straight away to the nearest hospital.

Now, Lisa was never a fan of hospitals. The last time she had stayed in the hospital for someone she knew was when her mother had been brought to one and was declared dead on arrival. Hospitals bring grief and sadness to Lisa yet as she stares at Ella’s angelic face, she sees hope, even though it’s just a little, but the thing is…Lisa also feels fear. Something was not right.

“Lisa Unnie?” Ella mumbled out as she finally opened her eyes

Lisa sighed in relief as she took the girl’s hand into her own and smiled at her.

“Hey, angel” Lisa said

“Remember when I told you to take care of my Jennie Unnie?” Ella asked

“Good. Keep that always in mind, because I don’t think I have much time left” Ella said weakly; she looked drained, tired, but her eyes still looked so alive and thriving…as if she was still waiting for someone before the lights blows off

“Don’t say things like that, it’s not yet you’re time to go, angel” Lisa said, convincing herself rather than Ella.

“Eomma and Appa will be here any moment” Ella said, ignoring Lisa’s plead, staring out the window as she watched the snow fall and fog up the glass

“Your Unnie will make it first” Lisa assured her

“The doctor thinks I’m stupid, he thinks I cannot understand what’s going to happen to me, he tells me to be strong and to fight, but how can I fight a battle when I’m too weak?” Ella said “I know what lies ahead, Unnie” she added in a whisper

“This is supposed to happen, Unnie” Ella assured Lisa with a smile. Ella was talking to Lisa as if she was explaining to her the plot of a novel she’s been writing.

“No! There’s still something that we can do” Lisa exclaimed, not wanting to believe the little girl’s words

“This has been planned, Unnie. It is bound to happen, and nothing can stop it from happening, but don’t worry because something greater will replace this heart break” Ella said

The door then flung open revealing a very frantic Jennie with an equally worried Jisoo who was being calmed down by Rosé. Once Jennie’s eyes found Ella’s, she sprinted towards the little girl and kissed her forehead gently, Lisa smiled at the action but her heart ached at what was coming, she just knew it too well, it was a familiar feeling that Lisa loathed ever since.
