prologue
the aster and the sunflower.Flowers.
Lisa has always been fond of flowers, the way they start off as little seeds placed under the soil then after some rain and sunshine it sprouts and blooms into something beautiful. Flowers are literally one of the most beautiful living organisms to ever exist on land. They require patience, hard work, care and love. It’s one of the reasons why Lisa loves them.
Lisa’s mother had been a florist during her younger years and soon enough she had gotten into gardening in her later years, and little 5 year old Lisa came to learn the art of planting; her mother would teach her simple things, like to put the seed under the soil and bury it up, then the next day she would tell Lisa to water it and so she did and after a week Lisa came running to their garden and saw a beautiful little leaf sprouting out of the soil, Lisa grinned at the sight and her mother knew at that moment Lisa was hooked.
“Mommy, when will it grow into a flower?” Lisa asked her mother excitedly
“Patience, my darling” was all her mother said
A few more days passed and the leaf grew more, a little flower had sprouted, Lisa smiled as she continued to water it.
“Mommy, when will it grow into a big flower?” Lisa asked her mother
“May you be able wait a little more, Lisa? Just a little more patience, my darling” Her mother said as she kissed the top of Lisa’s head
School had finally started and Lisa was more interested in her crayons and workbooks rather than gardening, and to a 5 year old playing with your new friends was way better than working on the dirt and waiting for a stupid flower to grow. Lisa knew the flower would take long to grow anyways, she had enough time.
“Lisa, the flower you planted has grown a bit today” Lisa’s mother said lovingly
“Okay, Mommy” Lisa said as she focused on her coloring
“Are you not going to water it today?” Lisa’s mother asked
“Not today, Mommy” Lisa replied
“Okay, my darling” Lisa’s mother said as she placed a cup of warm milk for Lisa
Lisa’s been quite into her coloring, she’s always been drawn to arts, and then their next door neighbor’s kid, Kim Jisoo who was two years older than her, had a camera and loved taking pictures.
“We could take pictures of the flowers in my mom’s garden?” Lisa
