Ha Neul’s POV
Last night I cried in Jong In’s arms recalling all the horrible things that happened in my third life. Now he knows too and despite that I’m more than glad he’s pretending it didn’t happen.
Yesterday he gave me all the support he could and today his silence on the matter gives me more strength. By now we were sharing breakfast. He woke up earlier than me and made me something simple to eat, yet something that filled my heart with warmth. “I wonder about something” he took a piece of bread and spread butter and then strawberry jelly on top, placing it on my plate and filled my glass with fresh milk. “What are we to each other?” Despite feigning ignorance, Jong In had a playful smile all over his face. “I don’t quite understand your question Mr. Kim” “Is our deal still valid or I don’t have to wait?” “Deal? What are you talking about?” he had an adorable pout, something that I love to see. Teasing each other is the best thing in this whole world. “The deal that you’ll be all mine” he took hold of my hand speaking with his soft voice… this man is seriously tempting, I hate it but also love it and the same time. “I guess you don’t have to wait until the very end.” He smirked ready to come closer to me, I didn’t want to resist at all but something inside me kept telling me to keep on teasing him. “But it’s not today either Mr. Kim” he laughed but I knew too well he wanted to kiss me. Because I wanted that just the same. “The day will soon come Ms. Man” We kept eating our breakfast making small talks but none of them involved our case. Not the murder and what we’d do now… or the multiple lives we’ve shared by now, nothing at all.
We just enjoyed the moment. “Do you know you have a really cute mole on the nape of your neck?” “No I actually didn’t. How do you know though?” I wonder really… “When we were sleeping, you had your back turned at me and your hair were not covering that part, so I saw it. It’s really pretty and adorable, just so you know.” With him saying that, I felt my face heat up in embarrassment. Jong In really has a way with his words. He knows just the right thing to make you shy and excited at the same time. For ’s sake Ha Neul you’re not a high school girl anymore.
How can you fall for a man this hard? “You should really stop talking like this” I covered my face not wanting to show him how he made me feel. I don’t want to give him the satisfaction of making me this giddy, at least not yet… ~~~ It was all too nice for us, we had all the fun we could until afternoon came by and Jong In and I had to get to business. “So what are we going to do?” Jong In asked me once he saw me all dressed up. I had planned this meeting for a while now in my head and it was about time we met the right person to help us. “Go dress up Jong In, we’re meeting someone” he raised an eyebrow, confusion drown to his face but either way he did what I said without questioning anything. And so we went to the person I knew could help us. He owed me after all. Jong In drove us to the address given and once we arrived at the place, he wore his hoodie to hide his identity as much as he could “What is this place even Ha Neul?” “We’re finding you a trusty lawyer Jong In. And I know just the right person we can go to” “You’re taking me to a lawyer?” I could tell Jong In was scared, he didn’t want people to find him, but Lawyer Kim would never betray his clients and especially me. I remember clearly how I helped him obtain evidence against a man committing fraud. People are more eager to give information to reporters than to people of t
