Jong In’s POV
Her words from last night kept repeating in my head. Ha Neul said there’s no reset button but… I wish there was. Maybe then we would get to fix everything and just have no regrets…
Maybe that way I would be able to save my parents… I hadn’t slept all night, or rather I couldn’t. It was impossible for me to close my eyes. I just kept on staring at Ha Neul, as she too seemed to not be able to sleep. She did though an hour or so later.
But her night was still disturbed. She kept on shifting and calling someone with the name Tae Joon. But this time she didn’t wake up in sweat and tears. “Goodmorning Jong In” I opened my eyes, only to realize Ha Neul was up preparing herself for her job. When did she even get up? I didn’t notice a thing. “I prepared breakfast for you. It’s on the table.” “Goodmorning… and thank you.” She nodded and wore her coat and last her shoes. “Oh, before I forget. There’s a chance my mom and brother are going to come here to fill the fridge. The moment you hear something run to storage room locking yourself, no one is going there so don’t worry” Well, good thing she warned me. I wouldn’t really like her getting in trouble for having a murderer in her house. Plus I don’t think her family would like to see me here, whether I was in trouble or not. “Ok, I’ll make sure to hide!” she gave me a small smile and soon left the house. Not having anything to do, I started cleaning up invisible mess. It’s a habit I have from my mom. She would always make me clean around to help her when I was younger.
As I grew up tho and started working, she wouldn’t really let me do anything. It’s strange how such memories come to mind when you miss someone and honestly the more I come to the realization that my parents are now… dead, the more helpless I feel. I sighed sitting on the couch facing the door, when suddenly I heard voices from the outside.
Crap, that must be Ha Neul’s mom and brother as
