Jong In’s POV
“You’ve been running around for quite a while, but we finally got you” A young police officer led me inside the station. They had caught me inside Sehun’s place, I still don’t know how though.
How unlucky am I to be arrested at a time like this? Why when I’m looking for Ha Neul? Is it really impossible for me to do anything at all, damn it. “Take him to the interrogation room, we have a lot to talk about, Mr. Kim Jong In” I sighed staring at my cuffed hands and at that moment I saw Sehun enter the station right behind us, he looked worried. But I was led to the interrogation way too soon. I sat in front of a mirror knowing well what was behind it. “You have a right to consult a lawyer before being questioned and to have one present. If you can’t afford a lawyer, one will be appointed to you.” Good thing is that I have Lawyer Kim’s phone number with me thanks to Ha Neul that is. “I do have one” I took permission to search inside my pocket and took out a piece of paper Ha Neul had written the number of his office. The detective took the paper and gave it to another police officer inside the room, a few minutes later the police officer came back and told us that I was really defended by Lawyer Kim and that he’d be there immediately.
I’m so glad he didn’t turn his back in such a difficult case as mine. He really did seem determined. “Before we start the interrogation I want to inform you that our whole conversation is being recorded. I’m Detective Zhang Yixing and you’re Kim Jong In, right?” “Yes” I replied staring at the camera pointed at my face. Of course they had to record everything but I still felt uneasy. “By now you’re aware that you’re here for murdering your foster parents” I sighed memories hitting me once again. My mom’s back turned at me while washing the dishes, my dad sitting at the head of the table reading any kind of novel and I was on the right side of his, studying for my final exams.
Memories that just made me happy and then…
My dad on the couch, covered in blood the book he so loved right beside him and then my mom in the bedroom… I couldn’t even see her face, she had just covered herself with the blankets and that’s how she died. “Kim Jong In, I asked you something” I woke up from my horrible memories and just stared at the detective in front of me. I shook my head feeling my face wet, and only now did I realize I had cried. Damn it… I should be stronger. For my parents and for Ha Neul.
I cleaned my face from my tears and stayed focused in the questions from detective Zhang. “I’m sorry… um, yes I am aware of the reason I’m here cuffed. But I need to say this before anything else. I didn’t kill my parents. You might think that because they were not my biological parents it would be easier for me to do such a horrendous thing but for me they were my parents, they raised me up to the person I am and I am more than thankful for that.” I paused trying to read Detective Zhang’s expression, something Ha Neul always does. But it was pointless I’m not her and I can’t distinguish someone’s expression like that. “Look, I’m going to be honest with you. I can’t decide whether you’re lying or not but what I know right now is that I can’t trust your words.” I wouldn’t either, especially when all the evidence point at you. “Where were you at the time your parents were murdered?” “I was working detective Zhang.” He raised an eyebrow, going through some files he had in front of him. He looked confused for a while but soon leaned forward arms crossed, staring right at me. “There were no documents of you working that night Kim Jong In. We searched through your company’s documents and we found completely nothing. It’s not going to be easy proving your innocence.” Why am I not surprised at this? There’s something inside me that tells me Mr. Choi was surely going to get rid of everything that proved my innocence. I’m one hundred percent sure that the

Chapter 7: The storyline is so unique and good and actually it kind of refreshing to find a Jongin ff like this but there is a minus with your writing skills. I’m sorry I know I’m no one but I read a lot of books and write some myself so i kinda know how a good writing looks like. Its sad to see a good story like this being written not as great, I hope you can improve your writing skill. Anyway I still enjoy your story though bc its good!! Keep up the good work sis!
