Ha Neul’s POV
I was laying in my bed thinking of what happened today. Jong In told me I was important to him and that alone makes me feel kinda special.
It’s nice to have someone care for you and with Jong In being the one to care for me… it makes me feel even better. But the fact that he made me promise to not work on the article somehow makes me a bit mad. I sighed changing side on my bed. It was already 1 in the morning and we had returned home just half an hour ago.
We had gone to another of his co-workers house and talked to him. He of course was more welcoming but nothing really came out from him. And the bad thing? He was sincere about everything he was saying. The more we go into this case, the worse it will be for Jong In. “Ha Neul…” I turned my head to stare at Jong In. He was standing right outside my room and so I sat up from the bed. “Is there something wrong Jong In?” he shook his head and I knew he wanted to come inside. So I signed him to sit beside me and so he did. “I wanted to make sure you’re fine.” I smiled reassuring him that there was nothing wrong. “I know it might sound weird and all that but… can I sleep here tonight?” “What?!” is he asking… “Not like on the same bed with you… I can sleep on the floor it doesn’t matter…” he stopped talking hiding his face with his hands “I just feel it would be better to stay with you in case something happened while you’re sleeping but I don’t really want you to sleep on the couch you have your own bed but again I don’t mind I’ll just sleep even in a chair if I have to” The way he spoke was just so cute, how could I say no to him honestly? “Hey it’s ok I don’t find you weird for saying that.” I laughed and removed his hands from his face. He was still trying to avoid my eyes but that was the cutest part about it “If you want to sleep here go ahead. I’m not going to stop you” and that’s when he finally looked at me. “Are you sure?” idiot it’s not the first time we’d be sleeping together in the same room… we’ve certainly done more than sleep too… but you don’t need to know any of that.
“I really don’t want you to think I’m some kind of ert or whatever…” “Of course not. Go and take your stuff and sleep on the floor. I have an air bed somewhere in the storage room” I got up and started working on my quest. I brought out the air mattress and Jong In handled everything from there. The bed was now inflated with air and all the duvets and pillow were nicely placed. Jong In laid down and turned his whole body towards me.
Once again we were staring at each other. “ Thank you for everything Ha Neul.” I smiled and closed my eyes. “Goodnight Jong In.” “Goodnight Ha Neul” And like that I drifted off to sleep. ~~~ “Don’t do it” a calm vo
