(A/N: Time jump! again!)

Three weeks later…

Classes were nearing and everyone (except for the new student) trudged their bags on the ground, showing their obvious disinterest for the new year. Mina was the most excited about the university life because she was finally going to attend her dream school. She also admits that she had a great summer break because they all went to the country for a road trip, exactly like what Mina said she wanted to do from the moment she stepped foot in Korea. She was really shocked to hear JYP randomly suggest the idea during lunch once and she knew the man wasn’t accepting no for an answer because he already packed his bags in the car. The trip consisted of endless romantic gestures from Momo, funny moments with her guest-mates, and many scoldings from the guy who relentlessly acted like her father throughout the whole trip. JYP argued that the ballerina looked like a daughter-in-law and it only made sense since he basically adopted Momo when she first came to Korea. Mina blushed at the thought of herself marrying Momo, they were still so young and it wouldn’t make sense to marry now especially since she was now in university. However, the idea of them marrying later on in their lives never bothered her.

Mina felt a gummy smile form on her face as she ran to catch up with Jeongyeon who was rushing through the pages of her handbook she received for her culinary program. She totally forgot to read it last night because she was distracted by a certain girl whom she called her girlfriend. “This is great!” The students of the guest-house decided to switch things up as they walked in a group on their way to the campus. Usually, only two guest-mates would walk with each other to the school but Sana suggested that they needed to start spending more time with each other. The words “time is relative” repeated in Dahyun’s head and she turned her head around to peek at Chaeyoung who was caught between Jeongyeon and Mina’s conversation. The basketball player was leading the group because she didn’t want to get involved in attempting to make conversation with the Music major who stayed quiet for the entire walk. It’s been three months since the couple last broke up and Jihyo was still ignorant to talk with the basketball player. Dahyun thought it has only been so long since Jihyo broke up with Chaeyoung, and she wondered if the reason for the ignorant behaviour was really the latter's broken heart or if the latter was just being completely rude to her. Although, Dahyun can understand why Jihyo would be rude to her. The basketball player had been persistent in trying to make amends with the latter because her heart felt heavier every-time she kissed Chaeyoung’s lips behind closed doors. The Music majors weren’t even together anymore, but Dahyun’s mind always seemed to link them together every-time she hooked up with Chaeyoung.

She gently shook her improper thoughts away as she gripped her athletic bag filled with her sweaty socks and her favourite basketball shoes. Her body grew in the past month to endure her teammates’ torture, especially SinB’s punishments. However, she couldn’t help but to notice the wary looks Seulgi gave her every-time she did a suicide or whenever she did a push-up. Dahyun could recognize that look from anywhere, only Dahyun was able to see that emotion evoke from her teammate that she once called her best-friend. It was sympathy. But Seulgi acted cowardly as she dismissed the feelings and she continued on with the practices as if it was nothing— As if her best-friend wasn’t being pummelled by basketballs. SinB liked to call them powerful passes and the coach seemed to like the attitude, being mislead that SinB was working on her aggression into the sport she loved.

Once they reached the campus, Dahyun rushed over to direction of the gym because she wanted to put her stinky bag in the girl’s locker room. Meanwhile, everyone separated on their own way to head to their first class of the term and they left the newbie by herself. “Hey, wait!” She called out to any of her guest-mates for help but no one paid attention to her because the entire campus was crowded with students who were meeting with others that they haven’t seen in a while. Everyone was smiling and greeting each other as they all reflected on how their summer breaks went to everyone. To Mina's annoyance, the guest-mates vanished from her sight and she groaned out to herself. “They seriously just did that!” She adjusted her expensive looking side-bag, fumbling to close it to reduce the risk of someone stealing a valuable item from her bag and she heard someone make a satisfied noise at the accessory. “Nice bag, Myoui.” Mina furrowed her brows in confusion of a stranger on the campus saying her last name until she tilted her head up to see Elkie smiling at her. Mina sighed deeply in relief at the sight of Chou Tzuyu’s friend. “Elkie, I’m so glad to see you. Have you seen Tzuyu or Sana?” She was going to kill one of them for leaving her alone in this ridiculously crowded place. Elkie noticed the latter’s behaviour and she dragged the ballerina out of the crowd to bring her to a spot on campus where there was less people. She thought it was better for Mina’s ears to hear her when she wasn’t yelling over the excited students. “Yeah, they went to go make out somewhere.” Elkie rolled her eyes as she joked around with the latter (Well, she hoped she was only joking). Elkie remembered earlier of when she met eyes with the familiar couple from the distance. She was about to go greet them until the Maths major shot a quick glare to leave them alone before they ran off to God knows where. She only hoped that God wasn’t watching whatever the rabbits were attempting to do in this university.

Mina chuckled out in amusement, clearly liking how Elkie always interacted with the guest-mates and she rubbed the back of her neck, thinking that the answer made complete sense to her. The couple has become very clingy in the past few weeks, so clingy that ahjussi even stopped yelling at them to stop acting all their affectionate gestures and he would look away to hide the second-hand embarrassment that was growing on his face. She doesn’t blame them at all because herself and Momo are sometimes like that as well, along with Jeongyeon and Nayeon. It made the ballerina wonder how Jihyo, Dahyun, and Chaeyoung (the single ladies) were handling with the romance that was conquering the Park Residence.

“I heard you’re a dance major, that’s cool!” Elkie snapped the latter out of her thoughts to compliment her and Mina grinned at her with a gummy smile still remaining on her face. Elkie gestured towards the building on her right. “Just a quick reminder, the dance studios are that way.” She grinned back with a knowing idea to why the latter was standing by herself, alone in the middle of a large crowd and Mina felt herself sigh again in relief, she felt like she was going to be doing that a lot today. She nodded her head in appreciation of the amazing girl before she hopped towards the buildings in delight and Elkie chuckled to herself in amusement of the excited newbie.

“Ahhh, it’s been a while since the house has been this quiet.” JYP leaned back on the couch in relaxation and looked over to the girl beside him. “Right, Momo-ssi?” The mentioned girl was completely slouched against the couch as she placed her hands gently on her flat stomach. “Yeah, ahjussi. This is pretty nice.” She decided for her free day that she would relax here because she was too lazy to go anywhere else. She closed her eyes to take in the precious moment of silence in the Park Residence and she quietly ticked her tongue when she heard the man speak again, clearly ruining the moment.

“Say, I know you don’t like to talk about it.” JYP was hesitant to talk about the taboo topic and Momo gave him a look saying that it was okay to speak up since they were the only ones in the house. After all, it was best for the two to talk when there weren't nosy university students trying to listen in on their conversation. However, Momo wasn’t expecting for JYP to spring this question on her. “But, you’ve never thought about going to school? Not even for a year?” It wasn’t like JYP was trying to kick her out of the house to force her into doing something educational, he was genuinely curious of the latter’s intentions for the future. Momo released a long sigh before she slouched her body further into the couch, revealing her tiredness of the topic.

“Of course, I’ve thought about it. The idea never really sparked my interest like how it does with Mina.” She remembered how excited her girlfriend was this morning when she showed her the surprise she made this morning. Momo took the time to wake up earlier than usual to cook her a packed lunch, the type of lunch that kids would receive in the daycare (which were the best lunches in Momo’s opinions). Momo always knew Mina’s passion was to pursue dancing, but what exactly was Momo’s passion? Sometimes, it felt like Momo was behind in life while the others skyrocketed to success. There were often times Momo felt slightly jealous when she heard stories of Tzuyu checking a kitty’s ears for inspection, or when she heard Nayeon ramble on about the mental endurance of her long surgeries, or when she heard Jeongyeon ramble on about how she finally found her dream career. She even felt just the slightest jealous when she heard that Chaeyoung learned how to produce songs from JB, which was absolutely shocking for herself because she usually felt proud of the latter’s every action. “Well, what do you want do…?” JYP interrupted her deep thoughts and he folded his hands together to show his patience with her before he quickly added with a serious expression. “Please don’t say, you’ll stay here for the rest of your life.” Although the ahjussi had a soft spot for Momo, he didn’t want to keep the girl jailed in the Park Residence. Momo giggled at the absurd thought before she pursed her lips out as a random idea occurred in her head. “I think the daycare would be nice.”

“The daycare?” JYP asked in sudden confusion to the latter. He wondered what the girl really meant by those words and she nodded her head in confirmation with a small grin on her face. “Yeah, Jiwon said they’re looking for someone to fill in the Director position.” The daycare worker confessed the news that she hasn’t even told Mina of and an elated look formed on JYP’s face as he slung his arm around the latter.

He made sure to bring the latter closer to aggressively rub the top of her head before he complained out loud in annoyance. “Aish, why didn’t you tell me that earlier?” JYP kept showing his love for the latter with lovable “affection” but Momo interpretted it as her punishment for being quiet at times. He finally released the innocent girl who looked dizzy from the multiple times her head shook during her punishment. A fatherly smile rested on the ahjussi’s face as a certain look glazed over his eyes. “With your work history, you’re certain to get that job!” It’s been almost one year since Momo moved into the guest-house and she never failed to impress ahjussi with her work resume (Although we never ever dare to talk about the Jokbal restaurant, JYP doesn’t even order any food from there anymore). Momo started to put her shoes in the position of the Daycare Director and she felt herself become satisfied with the title. She tilted her back in recognition before she showed an impressed expression to the latter. “Oh, it would be nice. Wouldn’t it?” She asked the man in amazement but she already knew what he was going to say to that question.

“Hirai Momo, the Daycare Director,” He announced in dramatic voice as he also pretended there was a black placard that contained Momo’s name in front of him. Momo looked at him in amusement before she leaned further back into the couch that now felt comfier than usual. Maybe, Momo will finally have something incredible to reveal in dinner time.

Dahyun just finished her basketball practice, AKA her longing torment of the day, and she was about to hit the showers until SinB stepped in front her, halting her actions. “Hold on, Lucky Seven.” The nickname made Dahyun roll her eyes as she revealed the whites of her eyes and her teammate smirked at the effect that she had on herself. SinB always loved to annoy people, especially when it was Kim Dahyun. The others gathered around the two as they could immediately sense the tension between the two and Seulgi watched them with an unreadable expression as she has been doing for the past month. “Where’s your fifty push-ups and fifty suicides?” SinB reminded the latter in a demanding voice and Dahyun furrowed her brows in annoyance before she tried to take another step closer to the change room but SinB followed her every movement to stop the latter from stepping forward. Although it’s been three weeks, three painful weeks, Dahyun still needed to serve punishment for her reckless actions and not to mention at the fact that their coach was still mad that the university’s boards attentions were still on her. Dahyun wiped her sweat off her forehead and she discreetly wiped it in SinB’s direction so the latter could have a taste of her own medicine before she spoke up to the latter. “SinB, this is insane. Don’t you think we should be acting like adults right now?” Dahyun just hoped that the coach would suddenly walk into the gym and start yelling at them to go away— Or anything else.

“I think your punishment is “adult” enough, unless you want to suggest something else.” SinB shot a wink at the latter who was now fuming in her spot and the others sneered loudly at the provocative remark. Everyone on their team knew of Dahyun’s past with “relationships” and that made it even worse for Dahyun to cope with SinB’s suggestive look. Meanwhile, Seulgi could say that everyone was enjoying this tiny banter, except for herself. She hates to admit it but Dahyun was right. SinB has been going at this stupid torment for too long and it was time that a reasonable adult settled this feud between them because the last thing Seulgi wanted was for their team to crumble apart. “Then, play ball.” Seulgi jumped into the argument with her suggestion and she looked like she was a deer caught by the headlights when everyone’s head snapped at her. “What…?” Dahyun mumbled out in disbelief that her ex-best-friend was discreetly standing up for her in front of the whole team and SinB scoffed at her teammate before she crossed her arms in an arrogant manner. “Why would I waste my energy to play a game with Kim Dahyun?” SinB had a large ego and she wasn’t going to let it be disrupted by the mentioned girl.

Dahyun quirked a brow before she felt her competitiveness increase at the challenge that was presented to the floor. “Why is that? Are you scared that you’ll lose, SinB?” Another set of quiet sneers were heard around them as Seulgi resisted the urge to reveal a sly smirk on her face. SinB scoffed again at the unbelievable question and she took a step closer so that their faces were only a few centimetres apart. “It sounds like you’re challenging me.” An angry frown settled on SinB's face but Dahyun’s frown was angrier as her eyes were full of fire. “You already know what I’m going to say to that.” Dahyun snarled in her face before a ball rolled between their legs and they looked over to Seulgi who had a blank expression. “I have a report due tomorrow night, so hurry up.” Now, it was Dahyun’s turn to resist the urge to grin at her teammate. Seulgi was indirectly urging them that this was their last chance to settle this feud and Dahyun couldn’t help but to reveal a smug expression when she started to dribble the ball with her dominant hand. The two stood in the centre of the court while the others stood at the sidelines to watch them. They were all betting who was going to win the game with most of them putting their money on SinB but there was one person who remained silent as she watched with hope for the outsider.

“I’m assuming you want something out of this?” SinB’s voice was playful but Dahyun’s ears interpreted it as plain annoying as she continued to dribble the ball, now exerting more force on the ball. “Yeah, no more push-ups or suicides.” The basketball player bargained for her sanity and the latter nodded in agreement that that would be a fair play. “If I win, you do whatever I say during practice time.” SinB shot another suggestive wink to mess with the latter. Dahyun shrugged her shoulders to indicate that she accepts the deal. “That sounds childish, but I was expecting it from you.” The snarl on the latter’s face made Dahyun laugh at the reaction with no regards of respect lingering in the air before she bounced the ball towards the angry girl. SinB was not getting to let some insult mess with her head as she bounced the ball back to the latter to start off the game. Dahyun whizzed past the slow girl before she made her way to the net to make a layup and she successfully looped the ball around her leg and into the hoop. Dahyun turned around to glare at the latter with eagle eyes and the moment of silence turned into an abrupt amount of cheers from her other teammates who threw away their judgmental selves to really get into the game.

“Wow…”

“Heol!”

“YEAH, THAT’S OUR KIM DAHYUN!”

Dahyun could only chuckle at the hypocritical situation before she threw the ball back to a furious SinB that looked like she was going to explode at any moment. It looked like this was going to be a piece of cake for the Lucky Seven.

“Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, don’t look over there.” Jihyo started to panic as she attempted to cover her whole face with her notebook and Jeonghwa made it obvious to look in the direction that Jihyo was avoiding. The latter’s action made Jihyo smack her notebook against the latter’s head before she hid herself again from the unexpected person that she never thought she would see in this library. Jihyo was working on a very important presentation with Jeonghwa in the library since Jihyo would never bring her friends over to the Park Residence. The last thing the Music Major wanted was for her friends to be scarred with memories of her loud and obnoxious father— But the last thing Jihyo also wanted was to not be seen by this person, especially when she wore minimal makeup today!

“Jihyo, is that you?” The beautiful voice called out and Jihyo forced a smile on her face when she was faced with the equipment supervisor that she sees every week at her local gym. “Hey Sunmi…” Her voice dragged off in hesitance once she noticed Jeonghwa gawking at the visual in front of her. Meanwhile, Sunmi was oblivious to her new sudden fan because all of her attention was on Park Jihyo. “I totally forgot that you were a student here. I should’ve texted first so we could hang out,” The idea of Sunmi texting her made herself blush at the thought but she was quick to hide it with a stern expression. “I don’t think that’s suitable for us,” Jihyo tried to imply that their relationship would never work out because Jihyo was simply not interested in dating anyone at the moment. Or more specifically, she was scared of dating someone else. Her last experience with dating didn’t go… very well… There were multiple of times where she tried to make up the excuse to Sunmi that she was busy but the bright woman would always brush it off, saying that she would wait. It wasn’t like Jihyo thought the equipment supervisor was horrible. In fact, Jihyo genuinely thought that Sunmi was beautiful inside and out. And that’s when Jihyo started to curse the Gods because when she was at a time of heartbreak, a perfect woman had to enter in her life to make it worse. But yeah… Jihyo isn’t interested at all…

“Right, if you say so.” Sunmi sung out in a quiet voice since they were in the library and it still amazed Jihyo that the latter was unfazed by the rejection. Sunmi revealed a bright smile to flash her shiny teeth to the latter before she hugged her laptop closer to her torso and Jihyo finally noticed the latter’s attire. It was weird for the Music Major to see the latter wearing casual clothing instead of gym attire. Although, both attires can work for the pleasure of Jihyo’s eyes… “What are you doing here at the university?” She wondered why an equipment supervisor was here out all of the places and Sunmi chuckled in amusement as she thought it was also weird for her to be back at her past university. After she graduated with her Athletic Training degree, she always thought she would never set foot on this campus. “I’m doing a lecture on nutrition for a biology class.” Jihyo cringed at the thought of listening to that lecture and she commented out with no filter in hopes that Sunmi would leave her alone. “That sounds boring,” Sunmi chuckled again as she never thought that there was a dull moment with the Park Jihyo and she fiddled with her jean pocket to grab a piece of paper she printed out earlier. “Indeed, it is. But I thought it would be nice to broaden my horizons and try new things.” Sunmi stated with a glimmer in her eyes before she revealed the paper to Jihyo who read the numbers in silence. “Do you know where I can find this room? It’s been a while since I last came here.” The woman admitted with a blush forming on her face and Jihyo sighed deeply at the opportunity to spend alone time with the latter. She was about to dismiss it with the excuse that she had to work on her assignment until she saw Jeonghwa giving her the “you-better-accept-it-or-i’ll-kill-you-for-missing-your-shot!” look.

Jihyo rolled her eyes before she looked up to Sunmi who gave an anticipating look. “Alright,” The Music major finally gave in and Sunmi silently pumped her fists in discreet before she took every effort to contain her excitement. “I’ll meet you outside the library,” She announced before she ran off in joy that she was going to finally spend time with Jihyo. Of course, Sunmi made every effort to say hi to the latter at the gym but that was different because that was her job to talk to everybody and to make sure they were doing okay. Although, she liked to admit that she did get distracted a few times when she initiated long conversations with Jihyo whenever the latter was using the squat machine. Jihyo tried not to smile at how cute the latter look when she skipped in joy and Jeonghwa finally grabbed her attention with a wave of her hand.

“Excuse me, but why do you not want to be seen with that?” Jeonghwa emphasized the Goddess that just graced her presence a minute ago and Jihyo glared at her in response as she collected her things from the table. “Her name is Sunmi and you wouldn’t understand.” She harshly whispered to give the idea that she didn’t want to discuss this anymore (especially with her nosy friend, Jeonghwa) and she her heel to leave her friend alone. Meanwhile, Jeonghwa made sure to give her a thumbs-up for encouragement before she left the library in complete embarrassment. Jihyo saw the latter waiting against the walls in her usual carefree self and Sunmi brightened up when she saw the latter actually arrive out of the library. “For a second, I thought you were going to bail on me.” The playfulness never left Sunmi’s voice and Jihyo only shake her head in slight amusement before they made their way through the crowds of students who were all gawking at Sunmi’s beauty. “That sounds a lot better than walking in these treacherous halls with you.” Jihyo slightly bowed her head to hide her second-hand embarassment while Sunmi politely smiled at everyone they passed, she was clearly loving the attention at the university. “How about we walk outside then? The weather is quite nice today,” Sunmi was quick to suggest that they take the longer route so that they could spend more time together and that annoyed Jihyo even more as she grabbed Sunmi’s hand and dragged her through the crowds that were now gossiping about the two. All Jihyo wanted was to drop off Sunmi at her lecture and then leave the campus immediately. “You really don’t know when to stop, do you?” Jihyo muttered to the woman who didn’t hear one single word because she was too focused on the hand that was tightly holding onto her’s.

“What’s going on over there?” Tzuyu asked in confusion once they arrived to their lecture room where there were piles of students crowding the entrance. Tzuyu and Elkie shot each other a look of confusion before they used their tall heights to their advantages to look for a way to get past through the tight crowds. “This is madness!” Tzuyu yelled over to her friend who only shrugged her shoulders in response. They continued to make way through the crowd that was predominantly male students that Tzuyu has never met at the university before and Elkie made sure to nudge them in some sensitive places to remind them that they needed to show some decency in public. “I think this is the universe telling us to not attend the lecture!” Elkie yelled over in anticipation that they could skip class and head over to this new cafe down the street. The statement made Tzuyu roll her eyes as they finally made their way to the door and they saw Professor Lee throwing the unwanted students out of the room. “Ah, Tzuyu, Elkie!” He yelled out in excitement that the last of his actual students were here and he continued to tug onto another male student’s ear before he threw him out of the way for the girls to walk through. He urged them to run into the room and once they entered, he slammed the door shut and sighed out in relief that the madness was over.

“Why were those idiots trying to get into our room?” Elkie asked the professor in confusion as she thought nobody wanted anything to do with the Biology majors and Tzuyu also mirrored the same expression. “It seems that our guest has appealed to half of the male population at our university.” The professor ticked his tongue in annoyance before he took his seat in the audience section. Tzuyu and Elkie giggled at the precious man before they went to go sit at the very back. Usually, Tzuyu would hate sitting in the back because she read some study that it was better to sit in the front. However, since it was only a guest lecture, she allowed for themselves to sit at the back. Meanwhile, Elkie loved sitting in the back because that meant she could input some commentary on these boring lectures. “Whoa, look at the hottie over there.” She looked over to the front in amazement at the woman who was adjusting her mic on her face and Elkie thought this lecture was about to be more interesting than she thought. Tzuyu knew Elkie was half-joking when it came to making these jokes so she made sure to step on the latter's foot as her punishment. Tzuyu received a soft cry of pain before the lights dimmed down to indicate the lecture was about to begin. Elkie continued to gawk at their guest who’s name was Sunmi and she proceeded to talk about the key to a successful nutrition plan. “You’re terribly single, Elks.” Tzuyu remarked to show the latter’s desperation and Elkie leaned closer to whisper in her ear, her eyes still on Sunmi. “Well, that’s because fate didn’t bring her to me.” Elkie wiggled her brows at the latter who rolled her eyes at her in response. Tzuyu proceeded to write some of the information that she found useful from the lecture and she had to keep up with Elkie’s descriptive commentary of the entire lecture. She especially hated when Elkie went very descriptive when it came to describing Sunmi. All Tzuyu could think was that this lecture was going to be a long lecture.

Chaeyoung was sitting outside on the steps with Yeri who was eating her packed lunch that Momo secretly made for her this morning. Yeri munched on an egg roll before she pointed her chopsticks towards the latter who paid no attention to the food. “Did you hear about the pretty guest today? Apparently, she did a lecture today and everyone was trying to get in the room just so they could watch her. But Professor Lee got super mad and the next thing I heard was that the Biology majors only remained in the room.” Yeri chuckled at the thought of Professor Lee becoming mad because he was the type of person who was down to Earth so Yeri would’ve paid money to see him throw students out of his class. Chaeyoung finally showed she was paying attention when she released a small scoff and she quirked a brow at the latter in curiosity. “Where did you hear this?” She knew the talkative girl was the type to listen in on the buzz around the school so she wondered where the latter got her source from.

“I overheard it from someone who saw the guest holding hands with Ji— “Yeri immediately zipped shut once she almost spit out the Devil’s name and Chaeyoung glared at her as if she was daring her to finish her sentence. “Soo... Ji-soo…” She enunciated before she stammered out to s
