Cheon Jane's POV

Looking at how messy the house condition was totally made me realized, I have done almost nothing for the family. Most probably all I repeatedly did was whining towards my grandmother and demanded some nonsense stuff when I precisely know, she had no money to fulfill my request.

Though somehow; it will eventually appear in front of the boarding house's door at the moment I least expected.

"Jane, are we going to be okay?" The little girl beside me urging. I spread my arms around her shoulders and flashed a smile before nodding, "If everything is going to be okay then why are you crying?" She continued asking.

It genuinely surprises me on how accurate her question towards me. If everything is going to be okay, then, why am I here crying because of our situation? I gnawed with my lips, passing an assurance expression towards her, "Don't worry, I will sort out everything soon," My hand caressed her hair, tuck the long hair behind her ears. She's a few years younger than me but... I could assure you, she's more mature than you could ever expect.

Every so often I wondered, which way goes wrong with our life? Everything was lovely before; we had a complete family where everyone envied, I had the sweetest parents ever, a charming little sister that will consistently be my shadow whenever I went but why... Just why everything changes?

"Can I follow you back to your home?" She pleaded with a pair of desperate eyes, "I don't want to stay here. I'm scared," The girl complained, capturing my attention. I tightly seized her hand using my both hands, "Please, Jane," She started to cry, "Everyday those scary guys will come and hunt us. What did we do to deserve such treatments? It wasn't our fault, Jane."

I clamped my lips, trying to suppress my feelings deep inside, not wanting to make it look obvious, "I know Jean, I know," I gulped, clearing my throat, "But he's still our dad. No matter how we hate the fact he's our father, we still couldn't change the fact, we're sharing the same blood as him," I explained but I know, me too didn't feel happy with the situation.

"But he's the reason why our mother killed herself! He's the reason why everyone abandoned us! He's the reason why..." She burst into tears, "If he's going to make us suffer, why would he let us born into the world at the first place? Do you think everything is going to be okay when he decided to leave us with grandmother? No, he solely makes things worst," Her voice pitched up, "If he couldn't make the payment for the loan he made, why would he took it at the first place?!"

As we were having an extremely critical conversation, someone stormed in from the front door, straightly towards us, "Who are you?" I shouted right in their face though I actually quite terrified by the sudden appearance of the mysterious men, "If you're looking for money, there's none of it here," I notified them and they didn't look pleased with the fact I briefed them.

"It has been four months since you delay the payment," The man who was holding onto the metal bar informed me but I just leveled my eyes, "Are you really going to be like this?" He clenched his fist, tightened the grip he had on the bar.

I stared at him with a pair of intense eyes while having my little sister in my embrace, burying her face on my chest, "It's not us who owe you the money. If you desperately demand it then go and find for Mr. Cheon, we have nothing to do with him," I glared.

He allowed the fierce gaze, straightly looking at me, "You ungrateful brat how dare you--," He inclined the bar, putting force in his hand and was about to knock me with it when suddenly someone appeared, offering their hand right in front of me, preventing me from getting hit by the man.

My eyes were tightly shut as my hand trying to protect my sister from getting hurt, "Who the hell are you?" Other rough voice could be heard, I bet the other guy who came with him earlier shouted to someone.

"I have called the police, if you want to stay here then stay. But don't blame me if you get caught for barging into someone's else house," I could catch a familiar voice attacked my ears.

I gradually revealed my eyes, looking at the one who was currently standing in front of me, "Ji--Jihoon," He had a slight smile plastered on his face though I could feel he was feeling pain on his hand.

"Jane, are you okay?" Doyeon rushed herself towards and my lips could slowly curve upwards, "Jean?" She asked my sister, and she weakly nodded her head while uttered the word 'thank you'.

My attention distracted towards the solitary boy existed in the room, "Jihoon, are you okay?" I concernedly ask as he kept holding onto his left arms, trying to conceal the pain he felt, "You look severely hurt," I said and only then Doyeon looked at him.

"Why are you jumping into the scene out of sudden?" She complained, "You didn't even completely sober yet though," Her voice slowly lowered down, "Let me see," Doyeon tried to place her hand on his arms but he flinched in pain.

I frowned looking at the odd atmosphere between them, "I think we should go to the hospital first," I claimed, "My grandmother is there as well, we could go and visit her while we're there," They quickly agreed with me.

Jihoon tried to grab the car key from Doyeon, but she quickly hurried towards the car, "Don't you think about doing foolish things," She passed a keen gaze before rolling her eyes, "You better take care of your arm first or I will break it even more," Doyeon warned him, and causing a chuckle escaped my lips.

"Are they couple?" Jean whispered in my ears as we walked behind them. I quietly bobbed my head, "But they really look like one," She muttered.

All I could do is reply to it with a smile because there will be no way for me to tell that they were, in fact, a couple before a storm ruined their relationship.

A storm where they couldn't be true towards themselves.

Jung Subin's POV

I was actually hoping for a peaceful day but seems like I won't get one when Donghyun suddenly barged into my room, suspending me from continuing competing in the game I've been into for the past few months. Can you believe he causes me to lose in the game when I was battling with the new team I've been assigned with? Damn. Seems like I will lose my top rank soon.

"Hey, Subin," I tried to put a bright expression on my face as I perceived him. Adeptly, I don't terribly mind if he wanted to talk about the study, life or general things but I exactly know what kind of question will be urged by him, "So, how's your date yesterday?"

That's it. The question I have wanted to avoid the most.

I looked at him with a smile plastered with a hope he couldn't sense the awkwardness I had in myself everytime he's nearby, "Well, it's great. Thanks to you," I reveal to him.

"Did Jiwon do absurd things? She typically did when she's with me," Donghyun claimed and my response would be an expression with the words, 'What is it?' in my head, "She would dance to the song she heard at the middle of the road, talking to every single animal she found; including dolls, and the most shocking thing she could do probably cried when she saw something pitiful in front of her eyes."

I couldn't help but furrow my eyebrows at every particular word coming out from his lips. It's amusing like how I couldn't deny almost all of the facts he mentioned as it absolutely happens yesterday except for the last statement; since there's nothing bad happened yesterday.

But then, I stumbled upon it actually the hidden charms of Jiwon. Though I wouldn't say she's my first love since I did have few crushes before but I could say she's the most beautiful girl I ever met and I would never want to lose her; never in a thousand years from now.

"I could say those things actually happened," I claimed and a small chuckle escaped my lips, "But she's adorable. Maybe because she's your sister," I continued causing the boy in front of me to choke.

He passed a glare to me because of my sudden statement, "Donghyun, you should just let your sister freely date," Mark who was on his bed, kept himself quiet finally opened his mouth to pitch his idea into the conversation. As he mumbled those, his eyes still locked on his phone.

Donghyun's eyes currently looking at Mark, "It's just because I'm concerned okay!" He complained, pouting his lips as he found it unfair for the boy to ambush him. All he wanted is the best for his sister, so it's relevant for him to do an interview with her boyfriend. Despite that, it was actually inappropriate to do so.

"Everything is fine between us," I informed him, "You don't have to---."

Suddenly our room's door widely opened revealing a girl with a loose light blue shirt and short jeans behind it, "Subin!" The girl called for my name but as soon as her eyes landed on the boy in front of me, a frown formed on her forehead, "Donghyun, what are you doing here?" She urged.

"You came too late, Kim Jiwon," Mark's expression brightened up to see my girlfriend appeared from behind of the door like she usually did most of the times, "You should've seen how your brother interviewed Subin just now," He claimed before excused himself to go to the discussion room as the others were already waiting for him.

Jiwon took a sit beside Subin on the bed and intensely staring at her twin brother, "Can you stop bothering Subin too much, Kim Donghyun?" She pouted her lips, "What did he ask you, though?" Her eyes darted at me, looking curious on our conversation before.

"Nothing much," I said but mostly I don't want to trouble her. We should just focus on our relationship and nothing else, "Oh, yes, why are you here, though?" I sought because there will be no way she could be in attendance without any reason; especially when she barged into my room with no knock before entering.

Her face loosens up when she reminded of the underlying reason why she came here in the first place. Jiwon took out her phone from the pocket and transmitted it to Subin without saying much. I frowned, but she gave me a gesture suing me to unlock the phone using the password I set before.

"Don't you check your handphone Donghyun?" She asked as I scrolled the conversation popped out as soon as I unlocked the phone, "Jihoon, he hurt when he tried to save Jane and her sister from the loan shark," The news startled of us who was in the room. Joke, it's only Donghyun and me in the room.

Donghyun jerked his head to her question, "I left my phone in the room. So was he okay?" He informed, "And you weren't even in the same course as us, then how you did you know?"

"This why you should never leave your phone behind," Jiwon quietly shook her head, "Doyeon reported us in the group chat," She claimed, "But nothing serious though they're currently on their way back to home," The girl informed the two of us.
