Today, I saw you.

It was like the very first time I saw you but of course, since then we've aged quite a bit.

So perhaps I should edit my wording.

It was like the first time I'd seen you since we were kids.

You changed up your hair this time. It was a bright red that seemed to stand out much thanks to the outfit you wore which always seemed to suit you- and to be very honest, anything you wore seemed to suit you, no matter how weird the combination. I was always a little jealous of that but then I realized it was your thing. Your thing that made you different.

I was hoping to see your eyes today. I missed their sparkling colour that always captivated me and brought forth the memories from long ago, but I couldn't see them.

You wore a pair of sunglasses despite the weather and it hid your eyes well.

But of course, even though the colours were uncomplimentary, it still seemed to go with your outfit.

Today was the first time I'd seen you with someone other than your usual friends.

This person was different.

This person... He seemed like a threat.
