Chapter 19
The One I Can't Live WithoutWord Count: 2025
"Do you think we should tell our friends?"
Jisoo looked up from where she had been laying down on her bed reading their history textbook to see Taehyung sitting at her desk staring at her. After both of them had confessed to one another, they had walked to her house; Taehyung had insisted on doing it. She hadn't minded at all, taking joy in the fact that half way through the journey, he had reached over and grabbed onto her hand, intertwining their fingers. When they had reached her house, Taehyung hadn't even asked if he could stay over. He simply let himself be right at home, something that wasn't unsual because he had often done so even before they were together. They had been in her room, her studying on the bed and Taehyung at the desk that was in her room. At least, he was supposed to be studying. Obviously his mind had been occupied with other things.
"Why wouldn't we?"
She wasn't a hundred percent sure why he was asking her something like that. It had seemed obvious to her that they would tell their friends about them being together. She had thought that he had thought the same way but hearing him ask that question, she wasn't sure about that anymore. She couldn't help but frown, feeling slightly hurt that he would want to keep them a secret. She didn't know if that was something that she would be okay with. She wouldn't feel comfortable having to lie to her friends. Besides, she also didn't want to think that Taehyung could in anyway be embarassed to be with her.
Seeing the look on her face, Taehyung quickly realized the way in which she had taken his words. He mentally kicked himself for not wording his words differently. He hadn't meant to make her upset.
Getting up from where he had been sitting on the spining chair that was at the desk, he made his way over to the bed where Jisoo was lying, frown still present on her face. He laid down next to her and pulled her in to him by the waist, holding her. He kissed the top of her trying to express that he hadn't meant what he had said in a bad manner. He would never want to hide their relationship from their friends because he was embarassed to be seen with her, which is what he knew that she was thinking; her expressions always gave her away. When he pulled away from her forhead, he placed a hand on her cheek and forced her to look at him.
"I just don't want you to get teased by my hyungs and Jungkook. You know how they are, I just don't want you to have go through that. Don't think even for a second that I meant something else."
Jisoo couldn't help but be slightly relieved that he hadn't meant to hide their relationship because he was embarrassed to be seen with her. She had been thinking that that had been why he had even brought up the possibility of hiding their relationship. She couldn't help but let her mind go to the worst possible scenario having been hurt so many times before. The fact that her and taehyung were here as they were, to her, was something that seemed almost too good to be true. Jisoo felt relieved knowing his reasoning. She also couldn't help but feel slightly guilty for thinking the worst about him.
"Mianhae, I didn't mean to make you feel bad," her voice was soft, scared that she had made him mad. She had also looked away from him and down at the comforter on her bed.
Taehyung pulled her closer to him, barely leaving any room between them. He, once again, forced her to look at him. This time he didn't kiss her on the forehead. He went directly for her lips. It was a quick peck, but when he pulled away, it still left her feeling funny feeling inher stomach. She could feel her face heaten up and she knew that she probably resembled a tomato.
"Don't apologize to me, ever. You don't have to. No sorry, no thank you, got it," after he spoke, Taehyung bumped her head with his in a teasing manner.
Jisoo couldn't help but smile and nod, "Got it."
Taehyung couldn't help but return the smile. He was glad that everything had worked out and that she no longer thought that he had meant to say that he was embarassed by her.
"I think we should tell our friends tomorrow."
Hearing his words, Jisoo couldn't help but feel slightly excited. She liked that once her friends knew she wouldn't have to hide her relationship with Taehyung. She had been in love with him for a long while, ever since she knew what love was, and she liked the fact that she could let others know that he was hers.
