Lee Haein's POV

It's been two years since I got accepted into the university of my dreams and moved from Busan to Seoul; two years since I realized, I don't know what my dreams are anymore.

It's also been three years since I lost my first love; three years since I thought I was over him, since I thought I'd forgotten him.

I guess time doesn't do much for you, just gives you a moment to think.

I knew it was him the moment he smiled at me. I didn't believe my eyesight at first. He couldn't be here, he couldn't have come here, I had thought. But there he was, bunny smiles and all. 

It surely was him.

Summer had just ended and school was back in, a sad thought to most but not me. School wasn't horrible and I sort of missed it, though I'd never tell Soojin. She'd say I was delusional. 

I was wondering around the campus before my first class. Soojin had a class at this time so I had no one to hang out with. With my art book in hand, I continued to wonder aimlessly. The school campus was beautiful and since fall was beginning, the trees were just starting to change colour. I was too wrapped up in the beauty to even notice my surroundings and bumped into someone. We both fell over but I got up as quickly as I could and helped the other person up.

"I'm so sorry," I said, cheeks blooming into red circles.

"It's okay. Things like this happen," the other person replied with a chuckle.

I was about to say something when the other asked, "Are you okay?"

I felt it in my heart then; I knew that voice. I gave the other person a good look over. He noticed my stares and smiled brightly. The ends of his eyes crinkled and I almost broke down crying.

"You probably don't know me, right?" he asked. 

Of course. It's a university, how am I suppose to know everyone? I had thought.

"I'm new. I just transferred here."

"Oh, really?" I muttered out. My heart hurt; I wanted to leave. This was not how I planned to start my year.

"I'm Jungkook by the way. Jeon Jungkook," he told me.

He stuck out his hand and I stared at it. Did I really want to shake his hand? Did I really want to even be talking to him? Before I could make another move, a voice called out his name.

"Yah! Jungkook-ah!"

"Hae-Innie!"

I choked slightly. He didn't... No, he couldn't remember.....

I turned around and saw a girl waving over at us, more specifically Jungkook. She ran up to us and latched herself around him.

"Who's she?" the girl whispered, though I guessed she wasn't great at whispering since I heard.

"Oh, I bumped into her on my way to see you," Jungkook explained.

The girl's expression relaxed and she turned to me. "Sorry about before. My boyfriend is very handsome and girls hit on him all the time. It makes me anxious."

I nodded but didn't dare say a word.

"You know me Hae-In, I only have eyes for you." As Jungkook said this, he tapped 'Hae-In's' nose gently.

Only when I in a breath did they notice I was still there.

"Oh, this is my girlfriend, Lee Hae-In, by the way," Jungkook said.

"Nice to meet you," I murmured to which she replied cheerily to.

I checked my phone as the couple was joking and giggling over something. I still had an hour before my fine arts class started but I didn't want to ruin their time together. It seemed like it'd been awhile since they'd seen each other and I was sure they wanted some time alone. It's been a long time for you too, a voice my head whispered. I sighed slightly at the thought and then turned to the two, smiling brightly.

"It was a pleasure meeting you two but it seems I have to get to class. Wouldn't want to be late the first day," I explained awkwardly. "Anyways, I've gotta go. See you around."

They waved good-bye as I hurried away from the scene. I could hear Jungkook muttering something about not catching my name but I didn't try to listen any longer. I made my way around to where the arts building was and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in. Leaning against the wall, I tried to hold back tears.

It was him. My first love.

A/N 

Hola hola! Ya gurl's back with another story. I've gotten a sudden spark of idea and I'm hoping that I don't lose it anytime soon. I hope you guys like it so far nd aren't too confused, though I don't think this is too confusing at all.

This chapter and the next will be written in the past tense only because they are partially flashbacks. The chapters after will be in present tense and if there is a flashback it'll be italicized.
