Gift for mummy.

“Guigui” Mini called out when she saw Guigui come in for work.
“Huh?” She looked.
“There are new arrivals.”
“Oh. Okay. Did you place them on my table?”
“Yes.”

There was an awkward silence between them two. Guigui sensed that Mini wants to say something.

“Is there a problem?”
“Yesterday, while I was placing the paintings on your table, the phone rang?”
“And?” Guigui asked patiently.
“It was XiaoGui.” She can’t look at Guigui in her eyes.
“Okay.”

Mini was shocked by her reaction. She was expecting her to explode like a volcano.

“Okay?”
“Yes.” Guigui looked at her and smiled. “I thought it was like ‘THE RING’ or something.”
“Whew!” Mini sighed. “He said he has something to say to you.”

Guigui was silent. After the break-up, Guigui lived a normal life…except that she never wants any contact with people of the opposite . At home, she had no problem. Her dad’s in heaven and she’s the only child so she had no problem dealing with any man.

“Next time he calls, tell him I don’t work here anymore.”
“He said he’ll be coming today.”
“WHAT?”
“He said he’ll be coming today.” Mini repeated what she has said.
“What does he want?” Guigui talked her thoughts out.

“Miss...” a young girl called Guigui’s attention.
“May I help you?”
“I like that painting.” She pointed to an image of a mother and child five feet from them. “Can I keep it
home?”

Guigui and Mini laughed at the idea.

“I’m sorry you can’t.” Guigui told the girl.
“I can’t?” The girl was saddened.
“I’m sorry. Why do you want to keep it anyway?”
“I’ll give it to my mom on her birthday.”

Guigui felt sad for the young girl. Then she was able to think of an something that will cheer her up.

“You can’t keep that. Would you like me to draw one for you?”
“You will?”
“Sure.”
“When’s your mother’s birthday?”
“On Saturday.”
“It will be done by then.”
“Thank you.” Guigui saw another smile from the child.
