Wedding Bells Are Ringing

Falling for the Clumsy Sun

"Found the groom. Get them all in position." Miss Hwang announced through the radio as he grabbed the man to his prep room and have the make-up crew refresh him.

"Thanks Ms. Hwang." He said. "I would've missed my own wedding had not found me."

"Uhuh. Now tell me what's bothering you. We have five minutes to spare." The woman said standing next to his chair watching him from the mirror.

He chuckled. "I'm okay. This is nothing. I'm just a bit nervous I guess."

He watched as the features of Ms. Hwang turned cold and her eyes looking intrusive as if they could see through his soul. He swallowed feeling fear creep down his spine from her stare.

"You shouldn't make a habit on lying. But whatever it is, I hope you can find resolve. Plus, you're a bad liar anyway." She said then looked at her watch then took the walkie-talkie and said, "The groom is set, it's show time."

Eric took that a sign and got up putting his jacket on. The handler gave him one last look and brushed something of his shoulder before telling him to follow her.

"This is it, Mr. Nam." Hwang said and put him in place next to his bestman.

"Thanks again, Ms. Hwang." The woman simply nodded before making her way to the bride.

"Ready for this?" Eddie asked giving a teasing smile.

"To be honest?" He looked at his friend who gave him a nod. "I don't think I'll ever be. But with Yongsun, I don't think I'll ever have to question if I'm ready or not."

"Dude. You've grown sappy man." Henry teased.

"Just don't the girls hear you." Eddie whispered.

"Yeah. Don't." Came a whisper behind them where the bridesmaids stood.

"Don't worry, with the right price, we'll make sure unnie doesn't find out." Wheein said jokingly.

Kyujong and James gave a short chuckle and gave him a good pat in the shoulder. " You'll do great, man."

He nodded. I just hope I do.

"Just as long as you don't fall on your feet." Byul deadpanned with a smirk on her face causing an ice breaker.

"There it goes." Henry muttered signalling them that the Kim matriarch has started her walk down the aisle.

One by one the groomsmen followed then came the bestman; Eric; the officiant; the bridesmaids; then in the absence of the flower girls, Byul came walking in spreading the petals for the bride. With her taking her post, the pianist and violinist changed the tune and soon enough, the wedding march echoed through the halls. The door opened once more and with awe, the crowd got on their feet gently clapping their hand as the groom's father led the beautiful bride.

"Wow. I- uhm... Wow." Eric's eyes rounded ready to pop out as she walked closer and closer to him.

Kyujong Chuckled quietly next to him. "Hey. Close your mouth. You wouldn't want to let your bride kiss you with a fly in it would you?"

His bestman teased causing him to blush and his ears to go bright red.

Keeping his eyes on her, he couldn't help but hear the reactions of others as well.

"Woah~."

"She's so beautiful."

"He's one lucky guy."

There were a lot of that reaction and he couldn't agree more. He was indeed lucky - very lucky in fact.

Walking down to receive her hand, he almost fell on her after slipping on that second step. The crowd gasped and shrieked but he managed to steady himself thanks to Kyujong's help.

"Aish. Of all the years, this is the very first time I see you act this way." His father teased making the whole crowd burst into laughter.

His face simply turned a brighter shade of red as he shook his father's hand and took Yongsun's hand leading her to the altar.

"You look absolutely gorgeous." He whispered shyly enough for her to hear.

She nodded also blushing.

As the ceremory commenced, Eric couldn't help but keep his eyes on her and the officiator always had to quietly clear his throat to gain his attention.

(Skip this and that...)

"Do you, Eric Nam/Nam Yoondoo, with God as your witness, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"

"I do." Eric answered with a shy but wide grin plastered on his face.

The officiant shook his head stiffling his laugh at the sight of the seemingly love-sick man before turning to the bride.

"And do you, Kim Yongsun, with God as your witness, take this man, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"

Thinking that today is quite a special occassion, Eric didn't fully know how it special it is for Yongsun.

(Let's rewind to some hour ealier..>> )

"Unnie, we're supposed to be at the prep room getting you ready. Where are we going?" Byul asked as the bride pulled her away towards the men's own prep room. Realizing where they were, Byul stopped her. "Yah. You do know it's bad luck for the groom and the bride to meet before their wedding? Or..." A teasing smile appeared on her face. "Are you just too excited to marry him."

That earned her a smack on the . "Ah! Do you really have to hit me so hard." She whined.

"Keep it down. Can you just go ask Mr. Nam to come out for a bit. I just need to talk to him for a bit." Yongsun asked trying to hide her nerves.

Looking at how her unnie's strange behaviour, she didn't say a thing and did as she was told. A minute later, Yongsun, along with Byul and Mr. Nam were walking to somewhere private where noone else would hear what she wanted to ask of the old gent.

"Aigoo. Why aren't you getting ready?" The old man asked.

"Unnie." Byul gave the nervous bride a nudge.

"Don't tell... Are you back-"

Yongsun quickly waved her hands and shook her head. "Aniyo. I just wanted to ask a favor from you, Mr. Nam." Byul translated.

"Eoh? What is it?" The man asked filling a little uncomfortable that she called him Mr. Nam.

Yongsun looked at Byul and told her not to laugh at what she is about to ask her to translate.

"I know better than to laugh at you when you're being serious." The younger girl said.

The bride nodded and signed while Byul watched her and translated it for the old gent. "I'm hoping that you could walk with me and give me away."

Mr. Nam quickly recovered from the surprise showing a bright smile on his face. "It would be my pleasure, child."

Yongsun felt her ecstatic to hear him say yes and even her bestfriend rejoice with her.

"But I also have a favor to ask of you." He said cutting their celebration a little short.

"Neh?"

"As you know, I've only had three sons and don't get me wrong, I love them all the same." He said shuffling a little looking shy. "I've also wanted a daughter but it seems that God had something else installed for us. Anyway, what I'm trying to say here is that, I would like it if you could start calling me 'appa' from now on." He said chuckling shyly rubbing the back of his neck.

Yongsun felt her heart swell in pure joy from his request and that only lasted a moment until Byul decided to tease the man. "I see where that ahjussi takes after."

They shared laughter until Byul noticed how Yongsun easily pressed her thumb on her forehead. "Unnie said, 'Neh, appa'."

"That's good." He chuckled patting Yongsun head. "Now, you two ladies go ahead and get ready. We'll see you in a bit." He said and the two bowed before leaving for their room.

"Yongsun?" Eric's voice brought her back to reality.

She smiled and the officiator cleared his throat quietly once more.

"I'll translate for you." Her groom whispered and she just shook her head no. Looking straight in his eyes, she took a few quick breaths and opened to say, "I do."

Shook was quickly taken over by pride and happiness in Eric's face.

Ignoring the gasps of the bridesmaids, the reaction of the other crowds, and the Kim matriarch who stood frozen in shock, the officiant had them exchange the rings which was handed to them by the confused celebrity - who very much looked like a fool with his jaw hanging wide open.

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you, Mr. & Mrs. Eric Nam." The officiant announce and the crowd clapped. "Mr. Kim, you may now kiss the bride."

"Woooh! Kiss her man!" Henry howled making the crowd laugh and join him.

The newlyweds shyly looked at each other and with one swift move, Eric closed the gap, gently cupped her face and kissed her full on the lips. Though it was quick, the two blushed beet red right after and Yongsun couldn't help but giggle in embarassment as the crowd cheered them on and Eric laughed as well rubbing the back of his neck and giving his wife a hug.

With the ceremony over and done, the photographer requested for the couple to have some of their pictures taken in the chapel with their family and friends.

As the newly weds and their guests proceeded to the reception hall where the food was served immediately as soon as the guests were seated. As they all ate, the bestman and maid-of-honor gave their speeches while bridesmaids and groomsmen took turns taking the empty dance floor and performing for the couple.

They've just finished their meal when they saw Kyujong who just finished his song approach them.

"Crongratulations you two." He said giving Eric a one arm hug and shaking Yongsun's hand.

"Thanks man."

"It's your day, man. Just to let you know, the girl's are getting ready for the games." He whispered before leaving their side.

Eric looked confused for a moment and turned to Yongsun when he heard her groan. "What's wrong?"

"I... I think the m-maknaes spiked Byul's dr-ink, again." She said pointing to the side where the bridesmaids and groomsmen sat in one table and where said girl waved her hand merrily in their direction.

"Ottoke?" He asked feeling nervous just by looking at her.

"I-"

Her answer was cut off when the static noise came on and their attention turned to the podium just a few feet from their table.

"W-who?" Yongsun asked Eric who shrugged his answered.

"Good evening, everyone! Did you all enjoy your dinner?" The man asked and the guests chorused yes. "Good, good! Before we begin anything, I'd like to introduce myself first."

The strange man then got of the podium and made his way towards their table. "To our lovely couple, Mr. & Mrs. Nam and their family, friends and gracious guests, I am Jung Joo and I will be your MC for tonight. Please take care of me." He bowed to the crowd and turned to shake Eric and Yongsun's hand before returning to the podium.

"Now, since everybody is all energized and well rested, how about we start the games for the groom and bride?" The crowd cheered and laughed as the couple froze in shock not expecting this part of the event.

"Aigoo. Don't worry, Eric-ssi, Yongsun-ssi. You groomsmen and bridemaids will join you ofcourse."

"EH?!" Everybody, except for a buzzed Byul exclaimed at the MC's announcement.

"See. They're very much happy to join you." Joo joked and they all laughed.

Not wanting to disappoint their guests and much to their chagrin, Yongsun and Eric, along with their beloved friends, came up to the center of the empty dance floor where the MC had asked them to stand. They (and by that I mean Eric) didn't get a chance to inquire which of his friends had this part of the event arrange as MC Joo spoke over the mic.

"...okay. Also, our couples here aren't simply going to play just for our own entertainment. Ofcourse there will be prizes to be won, so if any of our lovely guests would like to join, you may. But," MC Joo grinned mischieviously. "Your partner should either be your lover, spouse or someone you are truly and totally comfortable with."

With that, five couples of various ages joined them including Eric's parents and much to Yongsun's discomfort, her aunt and uncle had to joined in as well.

"Okay! Okay! So for our first game, we'll be starting off easy." Joo motioned for the ushers to bring in the long table with five silver cloches. He then had the ushers take the lids away and that presented them with heart shaped art papers stacked in each plate.

The crowd cheered and laughed as soon as they saw what the game is and the look on some of the participants' faces were epic.

"I guess I wouldn't be spending too much time explaining about this game, am I right folks?" The MC teased and the cheering got even louder. He then turned to the participants and shrugged. "Well, let's have it! The couple who gets the most paper hearts within thirty seconds gets the price. No hands. Just lips. And why don't we start with the elders to show the young ones how it's done?"

"Let's go!" Mrs. Nam shouted being the only middle aged woman who wasn't ashamed to show her excitement.

*N: Hi...?

I'm sorry... I mean, I badly wanted to update this past week but damn the words just won't come out right! I came back after this job interview and then just felt so dejected that I had to rewrite this chapter over and over again.

I just hope I did this some justice(even for just a little bit) for now...
