Chips Can Start Friendships
Made With Wendy's Tears
SIDE CHAPTER:
As soon as she thought everyone left, Wendy started packing her things and held back tears.
‘Why?’
It was her first day at a Korean high school and she already felt miserable. Everyone talked to her and was friendly, but she missed her friends back in Canada. She let her tears roll down her cheeks and took a deep breath.
‘They’re my parents. How could they do this to me?’
Wendy stared blankly at her bag pack in front of her as the tears continued to fall. Her lips quivered and her nose felt stuffy. Then all of a sudden, she heard the shuffling of feet coming towards her desk. When Wendy lifted her head to look up, she was met with a girl(and a really pretty one at that). Wendy wiped her tears away and sniffed to keep her snot from coming out.
“D-do you need something?” she asked, her voice sounding nasally.
The girl took a chip out of the Pringles can she was holding in her right hand and put it in to eat. She stared at Wendy with a blank expression.
“Can I help you?” Wendy asked, sniffing up her snot again. The girl slowly put the pringles can on top of Wendy’s desk while swallowing. Wendy’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
“You seemed sad. Whenever I’m sad, I always eat. It makes me happier,” the girl said before finally cracking a smile.
