Chapter 26: What’s this?

Last night was awesome, it was really a simple date but I like it.

I was asked by dad to join him on their meeting. They are going to plan about releasing a new CF. So I did attend and participated in the meeting. The meeting ended just in time for lunch.

“Are you hungry, Sheena?” Dad asked.

“Dad, you know, you can call me Shinhye, and yes dad, I’m hungry.”

“Yeah, I wanted to call you by your real name but then Yonghwa already announced that he is the only one who can call you by your special name. Hahaha…” dad laughed.

“What’s so funny about that dad?”

“I just find it cute; it is really hard to find a guy who can love you wholeheartedly. I’m glad it’s Yonghwa who you’re going to marry.” I smiled

“Why don’t you transfer the date of the wedding?”

“Mwo? When do you like?”

“Tomorrow.” Dad smiled.

“Dad, you’re talking non-sense. We can’t transfer the wedding, it’s impossible.”

“Why not? It isn’t impossible sweetie.” Dad said. “You’re hungry right? Now go to Yonghwa, you eat together. I’m sorry sweetie, dad can’t eat with you.”

“It’s alright dad.” I kissed his cheeks and bid goodbye.

Before I reached my car, I called Yonghwa. He didn’t answer, not until the third call.

“Shinhye?”

“Yong? Have you eaten already?”

“Ani.”

“You want to eat with me? I’ll fetch you in your –“

“I’ll wait for you here, Shinhye. I’m sorry I really need to hung up. I have to finish something.”

“Ara—“

“Thank you, love you.” and with that he hung up.

Ouch! That was harsh, okay. You have to understand Shinhye, he’s just busy. And eating with him won’t reach an hour right? I can still eat with him right.

I was greeted by Minhyuk when I reached the company.

“Annyeong, noona!” he beamed

“Annyeong Minhyuk-ssi.” I smiled.

“Noona, drop the formalities. I’m going to be your soon to be brother-in-law.” He smiled.

“Ara, where’s Yong?”

“Eh? noona, he’s busy. But I can walk you to where he was right now.”

“Is it okay with you?”

“Of course, noona.”

Minhyuk was really funny; he makes me laugh while we walk towards the recording studio. And he told me how busy Yonghwa and I also told him about our conversation on the phone.

 Their recording studio has a glass door. And I saw Yonghwa with a girl inside, the girl was very touchy and Yonghwa seems to enjoy every bit of it, for he was smiling widely and laughing. I turned towards Minhyuk and smiled.

“He seems busy. I’ll go ahead, Minhyuk-ah.”

“Noon—na, it’s not what its like.”

“Ara, I understand. We can’t disturb them.” I smiled a weak smile and started to walk towards the exit.

“HYUNG!” I heard Minhyuk shouted.

Yonghwa’s POV

“HYUNG!” Minhyuk shouted disturbing us.

“Wae?” I asked.

“A—annyeong Minhyuk-shi.” Juniel greeted.

“What are you doing, hyung? Noona was here. He saw what you were doing.”

“Noona?”

“SHINHYE NOONA!” Minhyuk shouted. “I don’t care if you hate me right now for calling her Shinhye. But all I know is that she hates you right now!”

“Where is she?”

“Gone! She went home already.” And with that I stood from my seat and exited the recording studio. But before I could forget I said to them

“Minhyuk, please help Juniel. I really have to go. It’s ok with you Juniel right?”

“A—yes, sunbae.”

I ran as fast as I could to reach the parking lot, and there I saw her car near the gate, I ran just to catch up with her, but I cant she seems to see me and drove faster.

I got my keys and went in to my car. I’ll follow her. I make sure that I was behind her by at least one or two cars for her not to notice me. I saw her park her car at the restaurant we usually visited, and then the reality hit me, we were about to eat lunch together. So I followed her; I parked the car and went inside. I saw her sat on our favorite place. The waitress approached her. I walked slowly to hear their conversation.

“Hello, you seems to be alone today.” The waitress said while handing her the menu card.

“Yes, I came al—“I decided to interrupt her.

“Sorry I’m late.” I said and sat down. “We’ll get the usual.”

“Okay.” The waitress smiled and got the menu card she gave to Shinhye.

When the waitress went to get our orders, Shinhye stared at me coldly.

“Why are you here?”

“I came to eat with you.” I smiled.

“I didn’t invite you.”

“Well, you actually did. You called me right.”

“I take the invitation back.”

“Shinhye---“

“Stop talking, I’m not in the mood to talk with you. After you finish eating go back directly to finish your work.”

“Araseo.” I smiled.

We were eating silently. I would only steal a glance at her.

Right after eating our lunch, I paid; she stood up right away and walks out. I followed her and called her but she won’t even listen. I grabbed her wrist and turned her around.

“What’s wrong, princess?” she just stared at me.

“Go back and continue what you were doing!” she yelled and got her hand out from my grip. She went in her car and drove fast on her way home.

I smiled to myself and called Minhyuk that I have some things to finish.

“Hello, auntie, is Shinhye here?” I asked her mom.

“Yonghwa, hello dear. Call me mom, okay? Yes, she’s here, do you want me to call her?”

“Ani, but can I go upstairs?”

“Ara. But no wild things to happen before marriage. Okay?”

“Araseo, mom.”

I was already outside her room, and I was bringing a bouquet of flowers. I knock on her door.

“Wait a sec.”
