`Now I’m vaguely beginning to understand why you could only apologize

i cuddled up on the park bench as i felt the breezy winter wind killed me inside as it crawled upon me

the perfectly round moon was the only one who accompanied me in this lonely night.

i held upon my coat. slowly crept inside my coat pocket.

somewhere inside me went missing as it started to ached all over. it's happenning again.

suddenly a small footsteps approached me as he put his coat around me. i looked around slowly and looked at him

"hey.." it was woohyun. he come and sat beside me "hey.." i gave him a weak smile.

he was only wearing his brown sweater "arent you cold?" i asked. he shook his head "aniyo" he slowly patted my head

i took off his coat and circled it around woohyun "you're going to be sick". woohyun smiled as he gave a small sigh

he eyed the starless night sky and drawn into the perfect round moon. for a second we both stared far at the sky

"i'm sorry.." woohyun cracked the silence. i looked at him in awe "why are you apologizing?"

his face were full of guilt "about myungsoo.." his name crept upon your ear as you gulped in.

"if only.. if only i didn't make that bet then he won't have to leave.." woohyun clenched his fists.

 i pitied him for putting all the blame on himself "it's not your fault..." i said as i slowly poked his back.

"woohyun.. can i ask you something?" i bit my lips. woohyun looked at me and nodded

"i met his mom today.." i gulped in. woohyun listened closely. "she.. myungsoo.." i didn't knew how to start off

"she called sunggyu.." i shivered a bit before continuing ".. a murdered" i slowly continued

woohyun eyes widened as he gave me a slight fear. "is it true..?" i gulped in as i eyed woohyun who's slowly backing off

his eyes were fearful, almost miserable. "hyung wasnt a murderer.. sunggyu hyung is a nice guy.. he is not.."

woohyun kept repeating the sentence. there was a tensed aura around him. his eyes jolted with grief. "he is not.."

"then why..?" i whispered to him. woohyun looked at me with a slightly weary expression.

"it's him.. not sunggyu.. sunggyu was never a murderer.. he will never be a murderer.." he shook his head

"woohyun? look at me.. woohyun!" i grabbed his hands and he stopped talking.

woohyun.. what happened to him?

"you have to believe me.. sunggyu hyung wasn't a murderer.. please don't believe in that.. " woohyun looked somehow sad

"i believe you, nam woohyun" i said "if only i knew the whole story.." i bit my lips.

"about that i'm not sure if..." woohyun's words were cutted off

"that was a story only i would know.." a voice from behind crept upon us as we looked back and gasped

"sunggyu hyung.." woohyun's expression become weary "oppa.." i called in. sunggyu smiled weakly before he sat beside me

"you want to hear my story..? you wouldn't laugh at me, right?" he said rather sarcastically

we nodded

"it started on that night..." sunggyu started to talk

That one night in heveridths when i was 15

I remember i was fighting with my parents

My father works in a small office which probably going to be bankrupt sooner or later and he was getting drunk.

He oftens slapped me saying that i shouldnt go to school to help the family instead

That night. i couldn't take it anymore. i stood up before him and screamed at him. he asked me to leave and i quickly did

my mom cried as he screamed at her. he was about to slapped her then i stormed in and pushed him away from her

she gasped as her husband started to growled at me with his stiffled breath. he started landing punches on my face

she tried to stop him. he stopped when he saw me bleeding. he jerked off to his room leaving me and my mother in agony

when the lights turned off, i started my plan

With only a few pennies on my pocket and a small backpack on my hand, that night i decided to run away

the town were filled with festive atmosphere as families gathered around for christmas dinner

i glanced over one of the houses as the family laughed together, opening their gifts. i smirked and walked again

I sat on the pavement wiping out the blood and helding in my tears. *if only i wasn't born..* that was my tragic wish.

living a life like this was just worthless..

"excuse me."

And so there stood her.. Gleaming before me

She offered me her hand "gwenchana?" a small girl voice squaked

I glanced at her and the two men behind her

"eo" i said quickly avoided her

She bit her lips and pulled me up "did you get into a fight?" she traced along my face and brushed against my bruises slowly

"nan gwenchana" i pushed her hand away and cringed a little. sending her an annoyed look. she must've gotten pretty mad

but she didnt..

She looked at me then looked back, poked one of the men behind her and whispered slowly

The man nodded and looked at me "mianhamnida" one of the men approached me and whispered slowly

"euh?" I blinked not knowing "waaakh!!" i screamed as he carried me "yahh!! Put me down" i struggled but he was too strong

She giggled "gwenchana! Were not here to kidnap you!" she looked at me

I sighed as they carried me inside the car

just by seing her car, It seems that this girl is very rich.

Her polished black mercedes benz is the newest series

The two men in uniform who seems to be her body guards.. She must be very very rich

We stopped infront of the castle

My jaw dropped "what are we doing here?" i asked

"to heal your bruises" she pushed me inside

I tried to stop her "yahh i mean why are we at the castle?"

"its my house" she look at me innoccent"ne?" i thought i misheard

She lives here? But i thought only the royal family.. it couldn't be..

"youre the princess?" i asked slowly

She nodded and smiled. I was speechless.

She pushed me inside her room and forced me to sit on her pink frilly couch

She took out her first aid kit and start to clean my bruises

I cringed "a little bit.." she bit her lips.

she slowly put the last band aid just beside my lips "done. Youre good now" she smiled

"are you always like this?" i looked at her slightly stunned

"euh? Like what?" she asked back"are you always this kind even to strangers?" i raised my eyebrow

"youre the first" she grinned "euh?" i blinked

"i never had a friend.. I dont know how to socialize.. If they knew i'm a princess, they'll treat me differently.. I dont want that" her tone was a little bit sad

"can i be your friend then?" i said slowly

"ah no.. A friend like me wont suit a princess" i quickly took back my words as i scratched my neck, feeling rather silly

"aniyo! Im happy if you want to be my friend!" she cheered as she grabbed onto my hand. i was surprised

"but.. Our status" i bit my lips "i dont care! Status is a lame excuse" she rolled her eyes before offering her hand

I looked at her in amazement. I never knew a princess can be this hyper and lonely in the same time.. my heart softened

"araeso" i shook her hand "my name's sun ah. Kim sun ah" She smiled brightly

"my name's sunggyu.. Kim sunggyu" We both had our moments of silence till we both burst into laughter

And so spring came by.. Followed by summer, fall and back to winter..

Time flows no one knew when will this time take us

Days..

Weeks..

Months..

Even Years passed by..

"sunggyu!" she ran towards me with a wide grin on her face

"euh?" i turned around and face her

"whats with the euh'? You were spacing out all these time, right??" she puffed her cheek and look at me annoyed

I laughed "aniyo princess.. I was just thinking about dinner just now"

She smiled "you never change sunggyu even after 3 years" "is that a compliment?" i joked as i sat on the bench

"i guess" She followed and sat beside meI glanced back at her

Her brown wavy hair is blown by the spring wind

"sunggyu.. " she looked at me "euh?" i quickly blinked and try to look elsewhere

She trailed her hands to my face and i shivered s little from her touch

My heart beats faster"pr..incess..?" i was quite surprised

She leaned in closer and kissed my cheek

I was motionless. She pulled me into a hug and i put my hands behind her back not knowing what to do

Her scent is driving me crazy till i realized its controlling me

I closed my eyes slowly asI let go of the hug and kissed her

Our lips melt into another as the wind grew stronger

i held her close to me. She was surprised for another second but didnt pull away

She trailed her hands to my face and then to the back of my shoulder

I almost ran out of breath and supposedly she is tooI slowly pulled myself away

She smiled. I blinked and realized what just happened "mianhae.. " i stood up but then she hugged me from the back

"there's nothing to be sorry of.. I love you.. Sunggyu" her sweet voice echoed in my ear

I looked back at her stunned I pulled her into a hug "i love you too"

i let go of the hug and we both sat on the bench again

This time silence speaks everything. I looked at her lovingly as she smiled at me

She is.. My first love. My source of hapiness.. But we were too young to know love

Too young to expect what's coming.`
