woohyun gave him a funny expression "are you sure?" he looked at the letter then looked at myungsoo.

"euh?" he looked confused. "of course i am. if not why would i even make such letters?"

woohyun smirked "you don't break promises, do you?" he gave him a slight smile, almost mocking.

myungsoo stayed cool. "i don't break promises. so what do you think?" his voice lowered

woohyun put the letter on the table beside his bed "deal. i'll call you after i'm fully recovered"

"eo" myungsoo shook woohyun's hand and left the scene.

when he walked outside, he felt the chills breaking through his layered coat

he shivered a bit and wrapped his plaid scarf around his neck. the cold wind attacked him with no mercy. the trees are all white and frosted. winter is coming.

the sun has turned itself into the honey coloured moon. the city lights are also starting to lit up

he walked through the snow covered pavement just beside the hospital. the snow glittered the dark sky above him

he encountered a bench just beside the dim yellow street light. he decided to sit for a while

he thinks slowly and sighed.

he thinks about the princess, the girl he truly loves

 he loves her with all his heart, her existence has grown within him, her presence is very important for him

but no matter how much he loves her, their relationship will not be accepted. that's just.. ironic

he snorted. sometimes he just wished for things to be different.

` if only i wasn't a prince of the oppose kingdom, if only i was stronger, if only i was the one who saved her from that accident instead of him.`

`if only..` he quickly snorted out from his fantasy and smirked. that will never happen

then his thought would bring him to woohyun. woohyun that odd guy.

that odd guy, woohyun...

the person who kept him away from his perfect relationship. kept him away from the girl he loves.

something stopped him as he remembers a slice of his memory

`do you know her pain?! do you know how many times she cried because of you?! `

that sentenced echoed in his mind as the memory flashed back at him.

myungsoo's eyes widened. that sentence.. to go out from his lips not hers, has surely make him felt more guilty than ever.

he didn't knew that.  the girl never told him anything, he never asked and so the unspoken is told by the third person.

myungsoo clenched his fists.

woohyun. that one guy who loves her longer than he did, knew her longer than he did, protected her with all his will, body and heart,

gave her the kind of warmness she needed and for sure will not make her cry like he did.

nam woohyun. the guy whom myungsoo envied since the first time they met.

he envied his determination and freedom to love just anybody.

he envied him.

MY POV~~

i woke up in my bedroom. laying still on my cozy bed.

euh? when did i get here? i thought i was sleeping outside.. i bit my lips

whatever! i'm waking up here and i feel AMAZING

i never felt this good. i streched my hands and stepped out of the bed

i decided to head downstairs.

naeun approached me quickly "princess!" without saying anything else she pulled me into the dining room.

my jaws dropped looking at the table. my eyes widened as i encountered her food parade.

"what do you think?" she smiled delightly

i closed my mouth. i wasn't kidding.. there are lots of food in the table. 7 large servings precisely. LARGE.

"i want to puke" i shook my head in disbelief. my eyes twitched being too suprised

what's wrong with this girl?! i turned around and walked away but then naeun grabbed onto me and pouted

"i woke up very early to make all of these! and you havent eaten anything since yesterday! you need to get those vitamins and proteins inserted into your body!"

she gave me a puppy dog eyes look. i snorted. i hate that look. "stop it"

but she wont stop. i growled. "naeun.. all i need is a single person meal to fill this empty stomach.."

she didn't dare to say anything. i rolled my eyes.

"... and what you got here, dear.." i pointed out the dishes on the table "... are for 7 hungry men who havent eaten for a year!"

she pouted as she looked at me with those eyes. really those eyes would've popped out from her face.

"naeun stop that" i said again. but she ignored it.

she wont stop until i say `thanks naeun! i will eat all of these before you can even say sabotage!` with a smile

which will NEVER happen. not a chance.

i rolled my eyes again as she gripped onto me harder. i growled. "allright, allright! ughh..!"

she smiled as she let go of me and shoved some food into my plate. i sighed.

but then i stopped her and grab the spoon from her hand "you're helping me eating all of these, right?"

before she answers, i shoved 2 times the serving she put on my plate into her plate and she couldn't say anything

she puffed her cheek and accepted the food. just when we were about to eat, the door creaked open. it was sunggyu. he has just finished the patrol

i smirked and whispered to naeun. she nodded as she stood up. she approached the clueless sunggyu and pulled him to our table

his eyes widened looking at the foods "wow.. naeun you make all these?" naeun cheered delightly "eo!"

"you will help us, right?" i blinked a few times before shoving the food into his plate

he was speechless but then giggled as the plate was overload and that even some food fell from the plate

"princess... i think that's enough.." he tried to stop me but i ignored and added more to his serving.

naeun couldn't say anything because she was relieved that i didn't put that much into her plate and somehow wishing sunggyu would be allright

i put a spoonful of chicken to top off his food galore "there you go!"

sunggyu didn't say anything. he exchanged gazes with naeun who is also speechless.

he shrugged a bit.

"let's eat!" we all start to dove into our food

and as expected, sunggyu finished last. naeun looked at him with sympathy, somehow pitied him.

there are some food left and i decided to pack some for woohyun. but instead i packed two servings.

i approached sunggyu and whispered to him. he nodded and bring along one of the serving as he left the castle.

naeun was busy cleaning the plates. i told her i want to go to the hospital for a while.

i bring along the other serving and walked outside.

dongwoo was already waiting outside.

"hop in, princess!" he smiled

dongwoo is really amazing! he always laughed and make everyone felt comfortable around him. he's so free like a bird, living with no burden and regrets

i really liked how dongwoo makes me feel secure. it's like i've forgotten everything when i'm talking to him

one time he was talking about his love for his puppies and how cute they were. then he would talk about his little sister and how they argued with each other.

i really love how he live his life. somehow envies him.

"we've arrived! princess just call me whenever you are finish!" he grinned. "thankyou" i bowed down a bit and he followed

i entered the hospital slowly. heading to his room.

WOOHYUN'S POV~~~

"woohyun? are you spacing out again?" her voice pulled me back to the reality

"euh?" i blinked a few times and looked at her. she pouted

"what's wrong woohyun? don't you like the food? or do you feel dizzy?" he bit her lips

i trailed my look back to the food on my lap then looked at her. "it's delicious.. thankyou for the food" i smiled

she sighed, a bit relieved

i looked at her and smiled "euh? what's wrong? is something in my face?" she wiped the corners of her lips making sure she is fully clean

i giggled as i looked at her "what's wrong?" she asked again.

"nothing.. you're perfectly fine. you're beautiful" i smiled. her face were flushed as she turned around

"don't say things like that so bluntly" her voice shivered as her hands covered her face. she looks so cute like that

then she glanced at my table and spotted something. a letter. the letter myungsoo gave me.

her curiousity took control and she reached out her hand closer to the letter.

before she could even touched it, i snatched the letter away from her. her eyes widened

"sorry.." she bit her lips and she bring her hand back to herself. she felt the tense..

"it's just personal.. sorry" i smiled. she nodded.

"uhm.." we both said at the same time and we both giggled

"you first" she said.

"aniyo.. you first, princess" i smiled

she smiled and looked at me earnestly "woohyun.. you know i cared for you right?" her tone lowered

my eyes widened. that sentence reminded me of sunggyu hyung.

"woohyun?" she found me spacing out some more "of course... i cared about you too" i smiled

she reached out her hand to my shoulder, wrapping me around her arms, she hugged me slowly. her scent gave me warmness..

"youre a nice guy, woohyun.. you're a nice guy" she whispered slowly

this scent filled me with deep memories of the past. always this scent of hers always gave me this kind of feeling

but somehow i sense sadness in her words. i reached out my hand around her back and hugged her

after a few seconds, she let go of the hug and looked at me. just then the doctor broke in.

"nam woohyun.. time for your daily check up." the doctor entered the room followed by the nurses behind him.

"ah.. ye." i replied.

one of the nurses approached the princess and lead her outside.

after a complete 2 hours of check ups and  medical treatments, the doctor finally concluded the check up.

"nam woohyun.. your injuries are healed now. But for the next few days, you need to get away from heavy activities, eo? rest at home"

he wrote a few things down in his files and ordered the nurse to take something for him.

she took a note from her files and gave it to the doctor. he then, gave it to me.

it's the to do's and not to do's list. "take care, woohyun. you can leave the hospital tomorrow. congratulations" he smiled as he bowed down and left

the next few minutes, she went back inside.

"what did the doctor said?" she bit her lips, curious.

i patter her head while smiling "i'm allright now.. he said i can go home tomorrow"

"jinjja?" her eyes twinkled as she cheerfully smiled. she grabbed onto my hands and swing it along with her

this is the first time i see her laugh this free since we met again after those long years.. how i missed her cheerful laugh..

she looked at her watch and gasped "omo! woohyun i'll leave first, eo? i promised sunggyu oppa to come to his lessons in an hour"

she hurriedly packed her things as she prepared to leave. "i'll come again tomorrow to pick you up!" she waved and left.

the next hours, i spent my time sleeping and finally woken up after 3 straight hours

my phone rang. it's a new message, guess who?

`i heard you will be coming home tomorrow. if you're fully recovered, how about having the duel tomorrow?`

winner winner chicken dinner. myungsoo it is, looks like he's too impatient.

wait who told him. it must be the princess --> sunggyu --> myungsoo

i sighed. chained message, eh?

wait. i read the message again

tomorrow? i closed my phone and take out the letter myungsoo gave me.

i read the letter throughly again and sighed.

rule number one: don't tell the princess about this duel. if you do. you loses.
