SUNGGYU's POV~~

the princess whispered on my ear slowly "sunggyu.. can you take this food to myungsoo?" she leaned back and smiled

i nodded as i bring one of the two servings she prepared and walked outside

i couldnt find him anywhere inside or outside the castle. where is he?

i looked at my watch. oh darn.

i decided to come back and put the food on my desk and do more patrolling.

after a few hours, i came back.

i walked towards my room and there stood the person i've been searching.

"hyung" myungsoo muttered as he looked at me

"where have you been?" i asked him

he shrugged "just having a little walk outside the castle..

"i thought you've gone back to heveridth" i joked as i handed him the food and he took it.

he smiled and looked at food closely "did you prepare this?" he looked back at me

i shook my head. he seems to understand who was behind this and slightly nodded

"where is she now?" he asked, reffering to the princess. "going to see woohyun" i replied

he bit his lips slowly and looked back at the food, eating it slowly

"hyung.. there's something i need to tell you.. but please don't tell the princess" his voice lowered as he scaredly decide to tell or not to tell.

he sighed and so it means he's going to tell me. "what is it?" i asked as i sat on the couch

"woohyun and i.. we're having a bet" he said slowly

i eyed him. "a bet?"

he nodded "yes. a bet. we're going to fight and whoever loses must not see the princess again."  he looked at me

"what---?" i scoffed. "myungsoo.. no no prince myungsoo are you out of your mind?! you're battling against him?!" i almost screamed

"when is the fight?" i asked him again.

"after he's fully recovered" he smirked ironically

"myungsoo ah.. you can't.." i poked his back

i shook my head in disbelief. myungsoo.. you can't.. you might lose to him..

he looked at me weirdly "what?" i asked "you hate me right, hyung? why are you so nice to me?" he raised his eyebrow

i stopped. yeah.. why am i being this nice to him? wait..

"i..hate you" i said quickly and he smiled. "i know"

we stopped at each other words.

"hyung.. am i being a burden? i.. i mean.. am i.. going to get her into trouble?" his voice deepen

i looked at him. i felt his pressure. "myungsoo.. do you love her?" i asked him

he  looked at me slowly "i love her, hyung" he replied softly. he looked elsewhere and smiled

"how much?" i continued. "i love her more than anything in this world, even more than myself" he smiled wider

"then myungsoo.. how much are you going to risk for her? just how much?" i asked him eagerly

he stopped smiling. his smile turns into a serious face. "as much as my life worth, still it was not enough"

myungsoo.. this child is really in love with her. if it gets too deep.. i have to stop him

"myungsoo, would you do anything for her?" i asked a final question

he didn't think and answered it directly "i will"

i closed my eyes and sighed. it's too late. he loves her too much.

"if you love her, you need to go back to your heveridth before that happens..." i whispered slowly under my breath

"euh? did you say something hyung?" he asked

"no.. nothing" i smiled

**ring ring ring**

suddenly the princess called.

"princess?"

"really?! woohyun is fully recovered? he can go home tomorrow?"

"jinjja?!"

"daebak!"

"ah yeah.. i almost forgot the lesson"

"eo.. i'll prepare it now"

"are you on your way home?"

"eo.. eo.. araeso.. "

i closed the phone and myungsoo looked at me curiously

"woohyun is fully recovered?" he asked "eo" i smiled.

his smile faded. "it's good.."

"i'l.. go prepare the princess' lesson, okay? just finish your food and i'll go back to you" i pointed my desk which is full of books

he nodded and i started to pick the books. when i look back at him, he already dissapeared

there's something i've forgotten. something important that burdens me. why do i have a bad feeling about it?

MY POV~~

i just finished the lessons with sunggyu.. now my brain's full of Xs and Ys

i packed in my books and put it on my shelf.

"princess?" sunggyu said slowly "uhm?" i looked back at him

he bit his lips trying to say something but then he closed his mouth again

"nothing.." he smiled. is it me or is that sunggyu has been acting strange today?

he tried to tell me something but then he closed his mouth again, keeping it in. something is burdening him

"i'll leave first then, study more, princess" he smiled and left

i lay myself on my bed. just then, i spotted a letter on my bed.

i opened it up slowly.. it's written

`princess.. can you meet me up at the garden after you finished your lessons? there's something important i wanted to tell you - myungsoo`

i gulped in. myungsoo.. what is he going to talk about?

i read the letter and slowly held it in my hands. i'm afraid..

important.. in what ways it is important? i'm scared of what he will say..

i put the letter on my drawer and sighed.

i walked slowly outside grabbing onto my coat as i approached the garden.

the wind blew some of my hair and snowflakes are slowly reaching down from heaven. i looked around and walked slowly towards the bench

everything was white, except for that one person. i wrapped my neck slowly with my dark purple scarf and approached him

he was sitting there. just like last time. "myungsoo?" i said slowly as he turned around and looked at me.

he smiled as i sat beside him. i eyed him. myungsoo seems to lose weight.

myungsoo held my hand and put it in his coat's pocket. "you must be cold.. sorry to ask you to meet me outside"

i shook my head and smiled. his hands were warm despite the cold weather. "is something wrong?" i finally spoke up

"do you know what day is today?" he smiled. i honestly don't look at the calendar.. but it's really nice to see him smile.

"it's the 24th of december, do you forget?" he putted out his hand and cleaned some snow flakes on my hair

i blinked my eyes. "euh?" he giggled "it's christmas eve!"

"jinjja? i thought we only celebrate the christmas day" i looked at him confused.

he let go of my hand. he reached for something in his pocket and gave it to me. a red coloured box wrapped in gold ribbons.

"for you" he smiled. i looked at the present and then glanced back at him.

"aren't we supposed to give presents on christmas day? why today?" i blinked my eyes.

he smiled and slowly opened his mouth "because i wanted to." i looked back at the present

as i tried to open it, myungsoo stopped me. "open it tomorrow, eo?" his hands grabbed onto mine

"myungsoo.. why are you being so nice to me? don't you.. hate me?" i bit my lips.

myungsoo's smile turned into a thin line. "hate you?" he asked.

"you know.. about woohyun.. " i said slowly. he nodded slowly. "i'm just a bit annoyed. but.. i will never hate you" he carressed my cheek

i can feel my body temperature risen. i stiffen. "myung.. soo?"

he leaned on closer and i closed my eyes. i waited for our lips to meet but instead i felt soft kisses landed on my cheek

i opened my eyes and he smiled. "i can't do anything more since you were his girlfriend" his smile were full of sadness

it only hurts more.. i looked at the snow below us. myungsoo.. i didn't mean to be this indecisive.. i'm just..

i'm just confused with my own feelings...

"it's dark already.. let's get inside" i said as i smiled.

i stood up and started to walk inside. but then, myungsoo wrapped me with his hands from behind..

i was quite stunned and as i tried to turn around, he stopped me.

"please.. just let me hold you like this for a moment.. " his soft voice whispered slowly on my ear and i brushed against his arms.

myungsoo.. please don't act like this.

after a few seconds, he let go of the hug and walked inside without looking back at me.

i stared at the present he gave me and blushed a little.
