~ epilogue ~ 

6 months later 

as everyday , as every morning .. i felt a hand my cheek gently , which mostly means that yonghyun woke up first and now she's hungry ..

" hyun~ah , let me continue this dream for once and i'll be under your command for the rest of the day " i murmured in agony before i bury my face into the pillow and tried to sleep for a little bit longer to continue my sweet dream .. 

" appa ~ ! " she hissed

" yes .. exactly .. about your appa " i nodded quickly ending the topic to get to return to my dream faster 

if i'm lucky enough i could get back to live into my sweet dream 

as i felt a gentle peck kiss on my cheek , i smelled the burning sun and the freshly washed attire , a manly after shave scent !!! 

i opened my eyes slowly with a throbbing heart ..

" are you going to continue dreaming , when you've got the real thing between your hands ? " 
i opened my eyes on a smug faced yonghwa !

it took me a several seconds staring at him and making sure he really exists in reality world ..

 he was wearing the military attire with a shorter than one inch hair , soaking with manly plain vibe .. his eyes , nose and those beautiful lips were all the same , yonghwa is really here !! 

" oppa !!! " i exclaimed in a shock as i finally believed my eyes and clung onto his neck , he wrapped his arms around my back hugging me tightly , really tightly with a firm strong arms 

 " you're really back ! i can't believe that you are finally here " 

he giggled softly " well , i'm certain i'm finally here " 

i squeezed my arms tightly around him and my tears ran down my cheeks " i missed you , i really missed you " 

" i know .. i missed you too " he calmly replied caressing and patting my back 

i pulled back to look at him with teary eyes , re-engraving his details all over again in my heart " you're here " 

" i'm here " 
his thump wiped my tear gently and i printed my lips on his consoling hand instead , i kissed it while gazing at him with so much love and feels

he slid his hand on my nape pulling me closer , brushed his lips on mine for a kiss 

i didn't have the chance to live with him luxurious peaceful life , we rushed through pain and lust to end up with a deadline happy ending with both of us being on different sides of the country due to his military service .. 
but now ! it's my chance , it's my real happy ending and i finally .. 

" appa ~ !! what ? " 
we froze at yonghyun sulky protest ! 

she clang onto his back and nuzzled into him " appa " 

" ooooh does hyun~ah want a hug and a kiss too !!! " he asked smiling while he fixed his gaze at me and she nodded vigorously 

" yes , i want " 

he climbed on the bed positing himself above me for a moment - giving me a naughty gaze -before he flips on his back to lay on the vacant side of the bed , yonghyun crawled to his chest and he caught her between his arms , he planted a kiss on her cheek and hugged her tightly with affection squeal " my hyun~aaaah " 

" did you miss appa ~ ? " he asked her as he positioned her to sit astride on his chest 

" i missed appa " 

" how much did you miss appa? " he asked playfully and she thought seriously " mmmmm .. a lot !! " 

" how much is a lot ? " 

" a lot is many many " she replied cutely and we giggled 

" how much is many many ? " he asked her teasing 

she tilted her head and aswered " it's a lot " 

he laughed loudly in amusement as he pulled her arms for her to lean closer for another kiss 

" she grew up into a fine cunning woman " he remarked smiling 

" i'm sure she'll take over the world when she grows up " i said with a proud tone admiring how adorable and heart warming they looked together 

" yes ! thanks to your genes " he smirked 

i buried my head deeper into the pillow as i crawled to lay closer to him , our body in a frustrating little contact , he reached and interlaced our fingers together protectively , pulling my hand even closer toward him  

yonghyun had her own game going on with yonghwa , when i asked softly " how many days we got ? " 

he tightened his grip over my hand and electricity ran along my nerves " 48 hours " 

i gasped in a shock as i sat up protesting " that's absurd ! 2 days is such a short vacation ! " 

he smiled peacefully " it is indeed , but we gotta spend them wisely " 

i stared at him with a twisted lip in depression , wouldn't a two days vacation make things even harder on us ! if we enjoy it , we'll eventually get a serious withdrawal later 

i laid on the bed again getting closer to him and resting my hand on his shoulder talking softly " just tell me whatever you're craving to eat , anywhere you want to go , whatever wish you have , i'll do it all ! " 

he shifted to gaze at me with lust 
" i just want one thing .... Y O U " he articulated the last word suspiciously 

" eeeh ! " my cheeks flushed as i rolled my eyes on him dissing his ert thoughts , i pulled away and crawled to leave the bed , " as a start , i'll make you a breakfast , you can rest until it's ready " 

 he didn't let go of my hand pulling me back 

i rose my brows at him questioning ! 

" what ! i'll never let go until the 47 hours is over , you'll have to adapt to this situation somehow " he shrugged 

" then get up " i decided

" wae !! let's just stay in bed " he whined 

" get up , we need to prepare a meal " 

" i'm not hungry " he was more childish than his daughter

i exclaimed persuading yonghyun " aren't you excited to have a breakfast with appa !! hyun~ah ?? "  

" yeaaaaaah ! " she shouted in celebration 

" but hyun~ah , appa is a little sleepy " yonghwa said and aborted her excitement , faking a yawn and shut his eyes 

yonghyun looked at her father intently for another notice but he acted sleepy snoring loudly 

then she looked at me in loss wondering if she should give up 

 i shook my head denying and requested " would you please wake him up for me , yonghyun~ah " 

" appa , wake up .. wake upppppp " she tapped on his chest with her both tiny hands and he hardly concealed a laugh still maintaining his professional acting

" looks like appa is a heavy sleeper , how do you usually wake me up when i'm craving to sleep hyun~ah ? "

me and yonghyun had a mutual nod , before i climbed and stood on the bed mattress , i pulled yonghyun's hand to stand up too and she excitedly cooperated , she was aware what are we particularly going to do and it was her favorite game - jumping on bed !!! 

we jumped as hard as we could on the bed , getting yonghwa's body flying up and landing down reacting with our striking thuds 

" yah you two ! " yonghwa grumbled in a shaky voice just because we were shaking the bed too much 

" stop it or you'll pay for it " he threatened , " i'm not joking " 

" catch ! us ! if ! you ! can ! " i panted the words as we jumped the souls out of our bodies 

he caught yonghyun's hand and the poor little girl screamed horrified " kyaa mommmyyyyy " 

he was impossible , we didn't even start the game yet he caught her ! so sincere ! 

i jumped down to the floor and helped her escape the bed " run hyun~ah run " 

" i'll catch you two " we heard yonghwa's hostile loud announcement and we cringed in thrill 

" kyaaaa " she ran seriously out of the room ! and i toned down my laughing so i would be able to run away too

running toward the living room 

" mommy , look !! " i heard yonghyun calling excitedly as something caught her attention 

" what hap...... oh WOW ! " 

when i got there i found out why she sounded extra excited , it was all because of that huge gift box waiting for her in the living room ! 

she ran back to me with a wide smile and insane happiness , clinging onto me 
" mommyyyy " , then again she let go of me and ran back toward the gift 

the box was almost twice her height , how did it even pass through my villa's door i wondered 

i heard yonghwa's proud giggles as he approached us , he exclaimed " hyun~ah !!! what do you think ? aren't you excited to check out your huge gift " 

" yeaaaaaah " she jumped in her own spot as yonghwa went to help her uncovering the box 

again they looked mega adorable as they quickly worked together to do the task in a recorded time to reveal the gift , which was a ...

" waaaaaaaaaah it's an awesome princess' house ! " yonghwa was the first one who honestly fell in the charms of his own gift  

don't tell me it's his first time seeing it ! probably he asked someone to buy it for him 

" yaaaay princess' house !! " yonghyun echoed happily as she went into yonghwa's arms hugging him dearly , " thanks appa " 

they're just father and daughter and they're both excited about the princess' house figure equally ! 

as yonghyun slipped out of his arms to check out the pink house' details , yonghwa looked at me with a bright contented face " juhyun , it's really pretty right ? " 

he was so cute which called for a little provocation , so i nodded and crossed my arms acting sulky " it is pretty indeed , so what about me , what do i get ? " 

" sorry .. i didn't wish to waste time on shopping and came home straight " he explained sincerely 

 i rolled my eyes on him " don't underestimate the sweet effect of gifts on a woman's heart " 

i shook my head in disappointment and walked toward the kitchen

 he followed me eagerly " what do you need else if you already have me ! " 

justifying his words , i paused and looked back to check him out probably for a moment 

he spread his arms in the air wide and smiled handsomely , proudly showing off his goods 

i couldn't help but to smile over this cutie guy 
" no thanks , i still prefer gifts " i and went my way 

he said he came directly to see me so i asked seriously " are you sure it's okay not to visit your parents this vacation ! mother in law surely will feel bad .." 

" for the breakfast , are we going for american or traditional one ?  " he asked instead and i just understood he didn't wish to discuss it 

" whatever you would like " i smiled

we had our breakfast , and by now i was washing dishes and preparing a fresh juice 
however i did it all while feeling uncomfortably stiff , sensing yonghwa's lustful gaze eating me up since a while now ..

" where's yonghyun ? " i asked

" she's playing at the room " 

" i thought you'll stick to your daughter for these two days but you are here , staring at me ! " i teased 

" i thought you said you needed attention " he backfired me with my own words and i dropped my head gazing at the blender in obvious loss , my cheeks flaming with embarrassment heat  

he walked toward me and slid his arms around my waist back hugging me " wae , shy ?? " he teased 

i huffed loudly as a reply 

" you said it in front of the whole world that day , now you're shy when we're all alone !! " he continued his teasing session 

" i didn't mean it in that way " my voice trembled with a killing embarrassment , i reached out for the fresh juice i just prepared - sipping it slowly as a distraction 

" chincha , you didn't ? " yonghwa tilted his head stealing a glimpse of my red face , he continued " then please tell jonghyun what did you mean ; he spent the last 6 months teasing me about it , day and night " 

" really ? he teased you ? " i giggled taking another sip 

yonghwa answered in obvious bitterness " yeah , he even recommended me some medications ! " 

hearing it , i spit out the juice from my mouth in a shock as i almost got drown in a few millileters of juice .. i coughed endlessly 

yonghwa got the kitchen paper roll from the bar and dried my face and neck 

he murmured with a frown " how reckless " 

and i couldn't really point out if he meant the juice incident , or my dashing line that day .. but i could tell from his sorrow that jonghyun made his life harder the past months 

" mommy , finished juice " yonghyun came to the kitchen handing me the plastic cup 

" oooooh ! you drank it all , good girl " i praised her and she smiled 

yonghwa lifted her up from the floor to the ceiling , up and down few times and she laughed enjoying it

 " let's go play , hyun~ah .. me and you okay ? " yonghwa convinced her 

she pointed her finger at me " and mommy ? plays too " 

" mommy is apparently so busy these days , let's go play and wait for her to finally appreciate our existence in her life " yonghwa said whatever he wanted to ! acting this childish i wondered if he's sulky !! 

" let's goooooo " he said as she rode his shoulders and went out 

~ 10 minutes later ~

i worked at the kitchen double my usual speed to finish off this work and return back to spend time with yonghwa and yonghyun .. time was passing terribly quickly and i had a lot of things in mind to do with yonghwa , a lot of words i wanted to say to him without the flashy audience of his enlistment day .. 

" mommy " yonghyun excited tone cut my line of thoughts , i turned over and dropped my gaze to yonghyun 
i widened my eyes in surprise as i saw yonghyun holding a small velvet black box between her tiny hands !! 

" what is it , hyun~ah ? " i smiled widely , heart racing in happiness at the unexpected gift 

" from appa ~ " the little girl answered and exactly as i guessed  , it was a gift from yonghwa 

" oooh thanks dear , you did a good job " i caressed yonghyun hair and took the box between my own hands 

i pressed my lips against each other nervously as i opened the small box , it was a ring with familiar design .. exactly the same as our WGM ring but with glowing clear diamond , reflecting the lights in a way that i couldn't take my eyes off it no matter how i tried to ! 
it was beautiful , really expensive and valuable to my heart just for the mere fact that it was from yonghwa .. 
thankfully he was just meters away from me or else my sanity and emotions would have broken loose ..

i waited nervously on the couch , hugging a bouquet of flowers as my only ally , which i had hidden somewhere in the house before waking seohyun up today .. 

i prayed that she would fall for the diamond ring i meticulously prepared , using my & her every connection to get the ring done by the time of my short vacation and thankfully bruce manager had the ring ready when he drove me here .. 

my heart throbbed loudly when i heard seohyun's steps into the living room , holding the box in one hand ! 

i checked out seohyun's eyes to get her real emotions but she wore a blank expression , which actually frightened me .. what if she really loves me yet she's not willing to marry me ! it could happen , for someone lacking as much as me anything could happen .. 

" what is this ?! " seohyun asked raising a brow as she held the offensive like box with the less fingers  

 " that's yours "   

she slowly walked toward me " how many upgrades does this ring has ? " 

i chuckled despite my miserable anxiety " that's the last upgrade "

" i'm not sure if i should collect a third ring with the same design " she acted unsure and handed the box back to me ! 

busying herself , she took the flowers from my hand and sniffed them casually .. 

my hand receiving the box went numb , even though i clutched my hand tightly on the box i couldn't sense it anymore , 

i wasn't frightened for losing my extremities sensation as much as my fright for the fact that the ring was returned back to me in the end , i was afraid i might have to stare at the same box for endless lonely nights later 

" the ring might look the same but it has a different meaning " i said it sincerely looking into seohyun's eyes which were busy placing the bouquet aside .. 

" has a different meaning ? " she asked wondering

i collected my will determined to win her heart with any possible way , using my most sincere words i hoped for a miracle that she would fully believe in me , that she would look forward a life with me as her lover not only as her daughter's father ..

i started talking " this ring is .." but i cut my words in a shock when seohyun climbed and sat on my lap casually ..

i broke in cold sweat - literally - when she looked at me with curiosity , our faces already inches away .. 

" this ring is what ? continue please " she asked 

i couldn't help the mental block , i forgot .. what was it again ? 
the box in my hand gave me a hint so i continued  
" yes .. what i wanted to say is ; the ring this time symbolize for eternit.... " 

" mommy , appaa .. let's play ! " 
yonghyun shouted in excitement as she took advantage of the rare family gathering moment 

seohyun smiled at her warmly " sure !! go bring your toys palliii " 

" okay~ " yonghyun nodded as she ran excitedly toward the other room 

i was staring at yonghyun's shadow which left the room when seohyun asked for my attention " so what did you want to say ? " 

i frowned trying to collect my thoughts again after such a major distraction 

starting things all over again i gazed into her twinkling eyes those which had always a special charming influence on me , her eyes which always gave me peace of mind , a generous meaning of forgiveness 

i wrapped my hand around her hand , caressing the smooth of her young skin preciously , as i started talking again , spending a lifetime worth of courage 

" there are things about me that i hate so much , and unfortunately you know about them well " 

" i can't hide them from you nor i can start all over with a new soul , the things i've done , the words i've said and that horrible mistake when i let go of you when you genuinely needed my existence , i can't take those back , i can't take back the pain i gave to you " 

seohyun's eyes froze on me reading my heart 

" i learned to love you the hard way and my heart almost hated me for the paths i chose ! i found it easier to lie and thought it was the best for you,   i had YOU the kindest woman in the world to love me and i couldn't really treat you right ! whenever i intend to protect you ; i get hell scared when i see your tears . i'm pathetic . i'm incomplete and the only thing that defines me in this life ; the only thing that makes me feel alive is your love " 

i breathed a nervous smile as i watched her mysterious tears falling because of me for a countless time , i extended my trembling thumb and wiped her ridiculous tear from her cheek and she bit her lip holding herself from talking , she wanted to hear me this time 

i tightened my trembling grip over her hand , our both trembles melding into a stronger firm hold , my motivated voice rang through my body intensifying my whole vitals as i hissed " despite how lacking i am ; I NEED YOU !! .. i need your love so i would know i'm more than a pathetic man , i need you in my life so i would look forward everyday - you are my reason to live and my plan for life ! " 

i tensed my lips into a thin line and cautiously opened the small box revealing the shiny luxurious ring , i took a moment of silence gazing at the ring and murmured  " i can't promise that all our upcoming days are pure joy , neither i can guarantee that you'll never shed a tear , i can't promise that you'll never get hurt because of me again ! "

 " i can't promise cause i'm awful at keeping promises , but i know that whatever happens later i'll always love you the same , i know ..ani .. i'll prove to you that you couldn't be happier if you weren't next to me ! i definitely know that i'll fulfill those till the last day of my life " 

i stared at her eyes hoping for an assuring answer , i knew it wasn't perfect yet i had high expectations for her kindness ..

she bit her lip with no word and my heart dimmed with fear , my chest tightened and i wondered if could take a proposal rejection for the second time , if it's possible to die twice !

my lips cracked into a bitter smile as i asked " you don't trust my words , do you ? " 

her plump lips moved in attempt to talk and i held back a breath to hear her

" no , i don't trust your words " 
she replied sincerely gazing at my eyes 
i hated her sincerity , for the first time in my life i admired lies , i needed to hear one to be able to live .. please .. only this time .. one more lie 

my lips trembled with a protest but she swirled her arm around my neck hugging me tightly as she talked
 " but i do trust your heart ! your heart that had always loved me despite my selfishness , my complicated days and those hard times we went through in the past .. i'm sure it'll still love me in the future with all of my imperfections .. i don't wish for magical happiness nor i hope to laugh everyday , i just want to share this life with you as real as it is , as demanding as it is , and when things gets complicated , when life gets harder and merciless any time later ; your embrace will assure me that whatever i may lose doesn't matter cause i already won you " 

if that means positive then .. i wrapped my arms around her protectively and asked " would you marry me ? " 

she smiled in victory " yes ! that's the only thing i wish to do for the rest of my life " 

i smiled like a fool listening to her , although it was my proposal ; she did a better job than me capturing my heart into her charm for eternity

i let out a heavy relieved sigh and pulled her away enough to press our lips together in a thankful kiss 

" so why did you return the ring earlier ! that was worrisome " 

she smiled " you should be nervous when you propose , that's the rule "  

" you're evil " i grimaced in real pain , however my lips smiling 

i got the ring out of the box and slid the ring into her finger , i printed my lips over her soft hand , and she giggled happily

i rose my gaze back to her radiating smile , she was beautiful , the prettiest when smiling happily 

i reached and tucked her hair behind her ear " you know , when i see your smile i get really ... " 

" why , on appa's lap ? " yonghyun was already on the couch with a flaming curiosity   

" that's your appa gift for me , isn't it pretty ? " seohyun showed off the ring to yonghyun 

yonghyun's eyes twinkled in amusement " wow ! pretty " 

" hyun~ah " i reached for yonghyun arm pulling her closer to us and she followed my guide , " we'll get a new house , a bigger one for us .. what do you think ? " 

" why ? " she rose her eyebrows not really fascinated 

 " so we could live together , appa and mommy and you " 

" appa can live here " she reasoned 

" oh hyun~ah " seohyun wrapped her arm around yonghyun's waist pulling her for a kiss and a warm hug as she talked tenderly " when we get a bigger house we'll get to have  more fun , you can have your own playing room and we'll decorate it nicely ! isn't that cool ? " 

she nodded slightly 

seohyun continued " we can run all over the house and chase each other , plus your princess' house is so big we need a big home for it , waaah i'm so excited thinking about it " 

" appa too ? " she asked cutely and i cringed 

" yes , i'll be there too " i nodded vigorously as happiness overwhelmed me being accepted by her 

seohyun leaned on my chest with a warm smile , and i couldn't help but to feel insanely happy , however i thought about it nothing else i wished in this life except being here with them 

" in the new house , you'll get to play with other kids too " i said my line and seohyun rose slightly from my chest to look at me questioning 

" really ? play with others " yonghyun widened her eyes in excitement

i nodded " yeah , with your future sister " 

seohyun acted like a restless fish on my lap as she tried to distance her body from mine ! 
i laughed hard as i caught her between my arms firmer  

my voice went lower seducing " she's lonely , we should take responsibility "  

she smiled mischievously " how many kids do you wish for ? " 

i challenged " how many kids can you afford ? " 

" i'm not a rabbit you know " she rolled her eyes 

" she's not a rabbit you know " yonghyun echoed next with certainty 

me and seohyun shared a momentary shock before we laughed hard at the small girl fluency 

" she's not ? she looks like the cutest rabbit to me " i questioned yonghyun acting clueless , and she fell confused at the joke 

next i smiled at seohyun requesting a demonstration  " juhyun~ah , give us your best dokei dokei " 

seohyun narrowed her eyes in disbelief at the childish me , yet adorably fisted her hands and put too much aeygo in her voice " dokei dokei , dokei dokei " 

we laughed again , this time yonghyun laughing too at the cute rabbit seohyun  

next i persuaded yonghyun " let's see your dokei dokei too hyun~ah , would you show us please ? "
