Chapter Twenty Two: Flattery

"Jimin, I'm sorry you had to see my once a pretty friend looking so wasted."

"I heard that."

"She has low tolerance with alcohol. She's still a baby, you see."

"The both of you are terribly noisy."

"Everyone was so worried about her, maybe I should taker her home."

"Don't mind me, I'll be fine really soon."

"What should we do? Our baby is sick."

"Shut up, peasants. Aw." I was about to get up from the bed to give my friends a good piece of beating when Jimin, who was sitting on the edge of the bed I was lying on, pushed my head back on the pillow. There was a loud knock on the door and I am pretty sure it was the other boys whom Jimin called after seeing how I sick I looked an hour ago. Damn, I look so pitiful.

Everyone was so worried about me while I suffer from the worst hangover of my life. Who would get hangover from beer? All my friends were totally fine and I'm the only one who is sick, this is unfair. My hangover was accompanied by a fever that I never felt existed, I was even feeling totally hot. I just have to cover myself with sheets because the boys are here, I'm totally embarrassed. I almost panicked to death because I had hallucinations, that everyone around me had Jungkook's face. That is totally terrifying, okay? I was so scared to know that I'm seeing him today yet I don't really want to ignore the boy, that's really a hard thing to do.

I covered my face with blanket as I remembered how In Hye emphasized that I look so wasted. "This is so weird of you," I heard Jin's voice. "You look totally fine when we were grilling meat, was it because of the smoke?"

"No, no." I spoke, "I guess I just drank a lot last night, that's all. I'm good, really."

"A~" Namjoon spoke in an accusing tone, "Jeon Jungkook, what did you do?"

"What?" Jungkook muttered which was audible enough for me to hear.

Knowing that Jungkook can be reckless just like how he almost told In Hye and Eun Mi that we kissed, I sat up and shot Namjoon a glare, "He did nothing!"

Everyone went quiet as they all looked at Namjoon the way they would whenever the innocent kis destroys something. Namjoon spoke innocently, "That was a joke, chill."

"Why do I smell something fishy?" In Hye said, looking at me with utmost curiosity.

I quickly glanced at Jungkook, who was looking at me, then at In Hye, "That might probably be your breath."

"You're seriously out of your mind, Cha Hyesoo." In Hye widened her eyes in disgust while the boys were chuckling at my comment.

I looked at them as I said, "Why is everyone so worried about me? I mean, this is just hangover, people. I'm fine, totally fine. Don't waste time on me. You're here to enjoy."

"You're bothered when only one is worried about you, and when everyone is, you're still not with the idea of liking it? Don't you really like it when we worry about you? We're so worried because we care about you." Jungkook spoke firmly, making me feel that the temperature grew hotter. I lie down and covered myself with the blanket again.

"I want to be alone." I told them as I turned my face at the wall. "I know all of you are worried about me and I appreciate that. I just, don't want to ruin's everyone's vacation because of this stupid hangover."

I heard sighs as Namjoon said, "Then we'll leave you. But we'll check on you from time to time. When you're feeling all better, we are at the beach, okay?"

"Hmm." Was all I said as I closed my eyes and suddenly felt myself drifting to slumber, again. I felt their footsteps as they went out of the room and I slowly opened my eyes, still facing the wall as I thought of anything I could think of. An hour later, the door creaked open. It must be In Hye or Eun Mi forgetting their phones with them. I sat up and turned, "Hey, what did you-"

"Hey." Jimin sat on the bed beside mine and looked at me, "I'm sorry, I really can't help but worry about you."

"I-It's okay?" I said, slightly smiling.

"Don't mind me, really." He said, "I'll just watch you while you sleep."

"I suddenly don't feel like sleeping already." I told him, "I'm really getting better, I told you."

Jimin looked at me with a weird look on his face as he said, "You know, if anything happened last night, you can tell me."

"Wh-What do you mean?" I asked.

"It seems like you and Jungkook were in a fight again, just like before." He said, "If anything, I would love to help both of you get in good terms."

We're in good terms, we're just in a very awkward situation. He's gotten me all confused again with that kiss last night. No, seriously. What are we, right now? "We're totally fine. I just can't tell you yet. I mean, how do I say this without surprising you..."

Jimin chuckled as he ruffled my hair, "I don't think I'd be surprised at all, I'm ready to whatever I'll know."

"Uh..." What does Jimin know? He's starting to irk me as well. But then, I brushed off the worry and smiled at him.

We spent the whole morning watching movies on the television and ordering food from the hotel service using Yoongi's credit card. I am not sure if Yoongi is aware of this, but Jimin is all to be blamed if the man doesn't. After that, I felt much much better so we decided to eat, again, lunch outside. He said he saw a seafood restaurant and the food looks really delectable so we are on our way to check it out. We settled on a seat for the two of us and waited for our order.

"Maybe we should have dinner with the others later." I told Jimin as I looked at the menu, "In Hye and Eun Mi love seafood so much."

"That's a good idea, but I heard the boys prepared dinner again. So I guess we can't eat here again later." He grinned, "We can't eat seafood twice the same day."

I laughed in agreement as we continued to talk about many other things. A few moments later, our order has arrived and we started digging in. I ordered shrimp soup and grilled fish that has vegetables inside its tummy, and all tasted really delicious. "This is seriously good!" I exclaimed as I looked at Jimin. He could only nod as he continued to eat his food, which was crabs and grilled squids.

"Well, who do we have here."

We were halfway our lunch when we look up and saw the others. Namjoon, In Hye, Taehyung, Eun Mi, Jin, Yoongi and Jungkook were all around our table. I could only look down in embarrassment for some reason I don't know, or maybe because Jungkook was there and he was looking at me with his blank and dark face. In Hye then said, "So, are you feeling much better now?"

"Did you call Jimin to get you? We lost him an hour after we left the room." Eun Mi added.

"No," Jimin said, "I went to see her. When she felt all better, we went out to eat lunch."

"I see." Yoongi said, looking at the others, "We'll go eat."

"Should we wait for you?" Jimin asked.

"No need." Jungkook said in monotone. "You two should go and enjoy, the sea is pretty nice. There are less people than expected."

I looked at Jimin, as he gave the younger one a serious gaze. Wait, so what is wrong now? "Okay, then. We're about to be done."

After that, everyone else left the two of us and went sit on the other side of the restaurant. Every now and then, I would occasionally look at them and would notice that Jungkook has been looking at us, which was very distracting. Luckily, Jimin and I were already done with eating so we waited for the bill and then we finally left the place. I took one last glance at Jungkook and I saw that they were all too engrossed with eating. I sighed as I turned away and looked at Jimin, who has been looking at me all this time.

The whole afternoon was rather hot and sunny so we put humongous amounts of sunblock on our body. We decided not to swim and just watch the other people swimming as we lie down on the beach chairs as we wait for them to go back to their cottages and for the sun to set. We were like that for about five hours already waiting for the sunset was all worth it.

"It's finally going down!" I exclaimed as I sat from my previous
