Chapter Sixteen: Caught

I am a girl with no good brain when it comes to planning. The next morning, I was in the verge of choosing not to go to school again or to wear something that would make me invisible to Jungkook's sight. I know, I am totally confused to why he did that yesterday, but I don't think I will never be ready to face him and ask him why. I don't even like the idea of talking to the boy at the moment because he has given enough mess in my brain for it to even function well. In the end, I wore my shoes and took my bag to head to school. He shouldn't really be a distraction, he should just be... gone.

A familiar black car was parked in front of my house the moment I went out. Going near the car, I saw Jimin going out of the car, wearing a plain white shirt and a pair of jeans. Man, he looked cute with the outfit. "Good morning Hyesoo!" He greeted.

I stopped in front of his car and greeted him back asking, "What are you doing here?"

"I told you, I'll do something for us not to miss each other." He grinned. "I'm taking you to school today."

I smiled at him as I watched him walk towards me to open the door beside driver seat's, "How do you know I am still in the house at this time? You didn't go here very early, did you?"

"You know, men's instincts can always be as sharp as women's." He said, "Get in before you get late for school."

The ride towards school was pretty nice. He was talking to me about how things in the cafe has changed after I left, and that his schedule was moved to morning because three part timers got in. He was also thinking of leaving the cafe but he started to love his job as a barista. Arriving at the front gate of the campus, we saw Jungkook walking in, I flinched. Jimin must have noticed it so he just stayed there and didn't try to catch the maknae's attention. After he got in, I took my seat belt and thanked Jimin.

"You're free in the afternoon, right?" He asked, "No plans of going out?"

"None at all." I said, "But why are you asking?"

He gave me his biggest smile as he looked at me deeply, "I am planning to take you out on a dinner."

"Dinner?" I asked.

"Yes, a dinner." He chuckled. "You see, dinner is the time where you eat food at night."

I laughed, "I know that! But why are you...?"

"There is this new restaurant that I really like to try, and I guess having you as a food buddy would be nice, is it okay?"

I beamed in excitement. Just like Jin, Jimin and the boys were all foodies and knows where to eat delicious food. I am such a kid because I would never say no to Jimin taking me out for a nice dinner. "Of course!"

"Then, it's settled." He announced, going out of the car and went to my side to open the door for me.

"Wow, you shouldn't have done that for me." I told him shyly as I got out of the car and faced him, "Thank you, I'll see you later."

"I'm actually seeing you here." He said, "The place is quite far."

"That's okay with me." I smiled.

"Have a good day." He said one last time before I finally went in the school grounds. I did not wait for him to leave because I only got a few minutes before the classes start. I almost jogged towards my locker to make it on time. As usual, there was another tulip (without a note), and another set of crumpled papers coming down my locker as I opened it. But right now, I don't really care about what is written inside because getting affected will only make those people happier, and I wouldn't like that. Once I got my books and have gathered all the crumpled trash, I threw them all in the trash bin and went to my first class.

Jimin made my morning gleeful that I almost forgot that I will be seeing Jungkook no matter what. There he was, leaning on the wall beside our classroom's door. We almost stared at each other but I looked away immediately, almost running inside the classroom to avoid talking to him. Because I swear, despite the fact that we should clarify what happened, it will be too awkward for me since I like him, and it will be nothing for him, because he's got a girlfriend, which is not me.

"Why were you two absent yesterday?" In Hye asked the very moment I sat on my chair. Eun Mi wasn't there but went as soon as she saw me. I almost gave them a long sigh, these two girls were like my mother because of their tone when questioning.

"Who's absent beside me?" I asked innocently.

Eun Mi flicked my forehead as she said, "Don't play dumb on me, people saw the two of you leave school yesterday."

I groaned as I held onto my forehead. "I left first, then he followed. But we weren't together, okay?"

"We were together the whole day yesterday." Jungkook said, startling the three of us. Realizing that they won't get any answer from me, and as if our absence was that important, In Hye and Eun Mi looked at the now sitting Jungkook and asked, "Where have you been?"

"We went around and play." He said. "We fought yesterday and now she's extremely mad at me because I did something wrong."

"What did you do?" Eun Mi asked.

"I-"

I gave Jungkook a furious look as I said, "For once, will you act like everything that you're doing is making it so hard for me? You're not helping at all."

"At least you don't intend to ignore me at all." He said, "You know we have to talk, so you can't ignore me."

"I know," I said. "Just give me time to think."

"The two of you are so confusing." In Hye said, rolling her eyes as she looked in front because Ms. Park has arrived.

By dismissal, Jungkook pulled me towards the back of the school building, maybe for us to talk. I was still mad at him because the man doesn't really know when to speak, when not to speak, when to act and when not act. I don't know if he's actually as stubborn or he is doing it on purpose. We stood by the wall, with my back facing the wall and Jungkook in front of me. We were quiet for a good minute until I finally decided to break the silence. "What are we doing here?"

"We are here to talk." He said.

"Then talk." I said sternly.

Jungkook looked at me with a serious gaze as if I was doing something wrong. I only gave him a blank look, not knowing what to do or to say, until he finally said, "Aren't you going to ask me why I kissed you? Aren't you going to ask me what is wrong with me? Aren't you going to tell me how much of a stupid man I am? Why aren't you even fighting back? Or at least saying what is actually in your mind?"

I was totally flushed with everything that he said because it's making me even more confused, I don't think he is trying to get straight to the point when he wants me to get straight to the point. "What should I ask? What should I say? You are doing things too fast without thinking what would happen next. Can you imagine how messed up our relationship is right at this moment? I don't really understand why you did that, I don't understand all the things that you are doing. It's dragging my mind into a deep state of mess. I don't know what I should be feeling right now, since you are back with Hae Ra." I looked at him with sorrow, "I cared about you so much, Jungkook. But it seems like you never felt the same as me."

Jungkook held one of my hands and looked at it momentarily then looked
