Chapter 31

Kyungsoo was cold. In fact cold was an understatement. He was so chilled to the bone that he was sure his skin was blue, the water in his skin surely frozen to ice. Groggy and unfocused he forced himself to transform into his wolf. The base layer of his coat, a milky brown mixed with a murky gray grew in, warmth starting to fill his skin. The black outer layer grew in next mixing wildly along his back and tail. A more solid black casing the area around his nose, his ears, and his feet. Fully transformed and no longer cold, Kyungsoo drifted back off to sleep. His pale yellow eyes cased the room, then shut. Everything was good. All the members had fully healed and Sehun was nowhere to be found…

Kyungsoo sprung to his paws turning toward where their youngest had fallen asleep. He was gone, the blanket kicked off and in heap. Blood from his transformation now frozen to the floor in the form of his footsteps. Maybe he was still in the castle? Kyungsoo sniffed, but all he could smell was Sehun’s dried blood. He couldn't tell if he was still here. Kyungsoo woke up the others, he was calm in his doings but frantic still the same. The remainder of the pack, mostly Tao, was less than calm. In no time, they were spread around the castle searching all the nooks and crannies they knew. Even the ones they didn't know got a good search, but he was nowhere. Unfortunately, the search also led to them realizing Suho, Kai, Xiumin, and Elana had not yet returned. Which of course led to even more concern. The oldest wouldn't show it, but deep down they worried. For this had already happened once before, and they had lost two pack members back at that time. They couldn't show that fear, they had to be brave, instead knowing that what needed to be done was finding Sehun. So, the members put on their winter cloaks and stepped out into the snowy blizzard.
