“I have a confession. I must confess.”

Soojung’s POV

I looked myself one more time in the mirror, fixing my hairs and then went outside. Today is the day. The showcase. No matter how much I tried not to be nervous, I am nervous, just thinking about Jongin and the others and it’s not like I’m the one that will be performing. But I feel like my heart could expload in matter of seconds. Jongin had texted me that he will meet me at the auditorium and that we will not greet me in the morning like he usually do because he is gonna be busy preparing for the performance. Silly him.

As I walked pass the other students, my heart fasten it’s pace everytime I heard them talking about the showcase. Every students that I walked pass are talking about the showcase and how am I supposed to calm myself down when all of them are talking about it. I heaved a sigh and pulled out my phone from my pockets. I’m going to call Jongin and make sure he is okay and that will calm me down for a while.

I dialed his numbers and waited for a while. After two rings, he still didn’t picked up. I leaned my back against my locker, waiting for him to answer. After the forth ring, he picked up. I could hear his heavy breath ringing through my phone and that send me a wave of chills.

“Soojung? Hi, I’m sorry. I was practicing. Why are you...calling anyway?” He said through the phone. He was still trying to catch his breath, that means he is practicing hard with the others.

“I-I just want to know if you are okay? You’re not injured, right? You didn’t got panic attack, right?” I said in a fast pace.

“I’m alright, don’t worry about me. You should just worry about yourself, you sound like a babysitter.” He said and then chuckled. I could feel he’s smirking at me.

“Hey! You should be grateful if someone like me want to be your babysitter!” I said and again I could hear him chuckling.

“Alright, princess. Anyway, I gotta go. I’ll talk to you later, okay?” He said

“Okay. See you later.” I said, as I was about to hang up. Jongin shouted ‘wait’.

“Go to the auditorium after your first class, alright? I’ve already reserved a seat for you so you can take a good view of us and I can take a good view at you.” He said. Oh, my heart.

“O-okay.” I said and with that he hung up.

The bell finally ringed, signing the end of our first class. I immediately packed my things and throwed them into my bags. I glanced at the others, they were also packing their things in a fast speed, I assume they are going to see the showcase. As I was done, I throw my bag over my shoulder and walked outside the classroom, along with the others. Since I don’t know where is the auditorium, I just followed the others. As we were outside the school, I spotted the big building right across the school, but it was at the back of the school. I could see a big stage was set up inside and there’s a sign, ‘Shinhwa 11th Showcase’.

“I can’t wait to see Kai and the others, oh my gosh!” a girl who was walking beside me said and the squealed, followed by her friend.

As I entered the auditorium, I couldn’t help but to feel blown away. The whole set up was amazing, just like all that concerts of those famous singers. The stage was awesome. Now I know why all the performers are nervous, it is gonna feel like you had your first concert. As I walked, suddenly a hand pulled outside from the line which makes me shrieked.

“Hey, it’s me.” the person who pulled me said and I turned my head towards the person. It was Jongin. I scanned him from head to toe, he was wearing the things we bought the other day. His hair is getting a perm but still it covered  his forehead. And also one thing I notice, he was wearing eye make-up and blue contact lenses.

“You shouldn’t scare me like that!” I punched his arm playfully.

“Sorry, sorry. Now follow me.” Jongin said and pulled me somewhere.

As expected he pulled me to the front row.

“There’s your seat.” Jongin pointed at the seat right in the middle of the front row seats.

I nodded and glanced at him. “Good luck. Don’t be nervous. I’m here.” I said, smiling at him and then tapped his shoulder.

“Smile at me. Flash me that beautiful smile of yours. It will ease my nervousness.” Jongin said and winked at me. After that he disapppeared to the backstage, while I walked towards the seat and sat on it.

The auditorium was filled by a lot of students, especially EXO’s fangirls. They were pratically everywhere. They all were talking about how they will look incredibly hot later on stage and how Jongin would dance again and all of that fangirling talks. After a couple of minutes, the light went off and the MC came out from behind the stage.

“Are you guys ready?!” the MC shouted with excitement, which make all of the audience cheered.  “Let’s start off with the first performance, here it is, Periwinkle!”

As the MC announced the name of the group, seven girls came out on stage and starts dancing their moves. They all looked so amazing and hot on stage, I wonder if I can do that someday. I waited and waited for EXO to come out but as the MC introduced the group’s name, EXO’s name hasn’t come out yet. My heart was beating hard like it could jump out from my chest in a matter of seconds. All of the talents that were showed was really amazing, there’s a lot of dancers, singers, even comedy. All of them were really talented, but there’s only one I was waiting for.

“And finally! The long waited group has finally come!” the MC announced, making all girls squealed. “The kings of the showcase! EXO!”

Finally, I thought.

As the MC disappeared to the backstage, all the lights went off. As the music starts, I could see the tree that were practiced by the boys. As they practiced, they all starts coming out one by one, I could hear all the girls are squealing—some of them are screaming, even crying, just because seeing those bunch of handsome boys dancing on stage. “KAI!” one of the girls shouted.

As the music reached it’s highlight, they started dancing more powefully, especially Jongin. And also as he said before, whenever his part came up, he will always glanced at me, making sure if I was looking or there. When he looked at me, I would smile at him, sending him the warmest and sweetest smile ever, since he said it could ease his nervousness. With one last move,  they ended their performance with a really cool ending pose. And with that, the audience clapped and shouted. I stand up from my seat and applaused at them. I glanced at Jongin and he winked at me. Then they walked off backstage.

After that, the MC announced the end of the showcase and one by one everyone starts to leave the auditorium. As I stand up, an arm turned me around which earned a slight shriek from me. As I turned around, the person who caught me was Jongin. “I want to talk to you” He said and pulled me to the backstage, to an empty hallway.

“Why do you always take me to an empty hallway?” I said as we arrived at the hallway.

“Because it’s just you and me.” He said and smirked.

I chuckled and blushed. “So, what do you want to talk about?”

“How’s our performance?” He asked, looking at me intensely.

“Amazing.” I said, giving him two thumbs up. “You did great!”

After that, silence fall between us but Jongin was still looking at me, intensely, making my heart fasten it’s pace, everytime I looked at him.

“I want to tell you something.” Jongin finally break the silence. It was only for a few seconds but for me it felt like a year.  “You probably know that I’m obsessed with you. I likes you or probably more.”

“Okay” I said and nodded. This is it. My heart is going crazy.

“And you know I’ve joked about you being about my girlfriend soon,” He continued, still looking at me intensely. “It’s not a joke. It’s not because today, I want to confess to you. I want you to be my girlfriend. I want you.”

This is crazy. I’ve never been so nervous in my life. This is probably the most nervewrecking moment I’ve ever felt. “I...I want to be honest with you.” I looked at him, his gaze never left mine. “Honestly, I’ve been really confused with myself. Not because of anything but...because of you,”  I stated, “I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately, everytime I closed my eyes you will appeared and it took me a while to realize that...” I took a deep breath, “I’m falling for you.”

As he heard my confession, he widened his eyes. I could see the shockness and happiness in his eyes. For the first time, his expression was readable for me. I closed my eyes for a second and I found myself staring at his beautiful eyes when I opened my eyes, he was already leaning in for a kiss. He looked at me and then at my lips and then back at me, as if he was making sure if it’s okay. I was too surprised to react and my body was not moving, my body was working together with my heart. He took my reaction as a yes and then brushed his lips against mine. Without any hesitation, I kissed back. He put his arms around my waist as I found myself putting my hands around his neck. I could feel he was smiling and unknowingly, I smiled too.

As we both pulled back, I couldn’t help but to blush and looked down but he lifted my chin up. “You’re mine now.” He said and then smiled at me, lovingly.
