Chapter 26
House of EXO (Edited Version)Since Tao leaving the house, everything seemed to change; with the missing one brother was like missing a part of whole puzzle that uncompleted. “I miss Tao already.” The youngest Sehun whined as he was slurping his chocolate bubble tea from his seat. None bickers with him for the bubble tea share anymore, so yeah, he felt a bit lonely.
“I miss that Panda too.” Jongdae chipped in as he took the seat beside the troll king. “I hope everything’s fine with Minseok hyung father.” That’s right. The oldest in the house were currently not in the house. He has decided to go back his hometown to visit his father who was feeling unwell.
“Has Minseok hyung called?” Baekhyun joined the conversation with a bucket of ice cream in his hand.
“Aren’t you afraid of becoming fat, hyung?” the youngest Sehun rolled his eyes at his Baekhyun hyung.
“Nope.” Baekhyun answered casually. “I could never get fat, remember.” His answer only made the youngest cursed secretly. The youngest was clearly jealous of his hyung body.
The three of them who were currently enjoying themselves in the living room was surprised when their Luhan hyung approached them followed by Yi Xing to announce a very shock news. “Guys, MInseok just called. His father passed away an hour ago.”
Everyone was shocked at the sudden news. They’re just wondering about the oldest father health before Luhan stormed them with the big news.
“Oh My God! Poor Minseok hyung! What should we do then?” Jongdae jumped from his seat as he felt sad for the oldest hyung.
“We need to show respect from his father. We’re going to Gyeonggi-do.” Luhan informed his dongsaengs.
“I’ll go tell the others.” Baekhyun nodded his head as he pulled his phone and started dialling the rest of their brothers.
Everyone was agreed with Luhan idea as they dropped whatever they’re doing to get themselves in the train which will take them to Minseok hometown. It wasn’t that long of trip but for the ten boys, it seemed like forever as they’re too worried for the oldest hyung.
Finally when they arrived, they headed straight to where the crowd was. Minseok house was located not too far from the station and the boys found it easily.
“Minseok.” “Hyung”
Seeing the presence of his ten brothers, Minseok couldn’t help but burst into tears. He has been holding his tears, to stay strong for his mother and younger sister. With his father gone now, he’s the man in his family. He needed to be the strong pillar for his family. But upon seeing his brothers, he couldn’t help but burst into tears when they embraced him.
Just in his brothers’ embrace, he felt so vulnerable, like he can depend on them for whatever weight he’ll be carry on from that moment. After calming the oldest down a bit, the ten boys proceeded to pay respect for the dead man. They might never meet with Minseok father, but they can feel the sadness inside them; it’s like they’re losing their second father as well.
“Thanks guys for coming.” Minseok felt thankful for his brothers who dropped their daily activities just for him.
“Hyung, you’re our hyung. You’re important to us. We don’t want you to be sad and cry alone.” Kyungsoo said to his hyung.
“I’m sure Uncle Kim will always watch over his family from the heaven, hyung. Uncle wouldn’t you to cry over him.” Chanyeol tried to be positive for his hyung.
“Chanyeol is right. Besides, we will always by your side, hyung. You have all of us beside you.” Baekhyun smiled widely.
“Don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine.” Minseok assured his brothers. “My father will be buried tomorrow. After ceremony, you guys can go back to Seoul.” Just as he saw how his brothers were about to protest, Minseok raised his hands to cut him. “I know you all have your own busy activities, I don’t want you all to ignore it for me, especially you Yi Xing. You think the company will allow you to take more days off? You’re just trainee, you can’t risk all the hard works you’ve been doing to achieve your goals.”
None was able to say a thing to the oldest words. Minseok was right. Although they might not care about their own issues but they care for Yi Xing. Everyone knows how hard Yi Xing whipped his off for his dream.
“When will you come back to Seoul, hyung?” Jongdae question made everyone looked at the oldest as he sighed.
“Honestly, I don’t know guys. I haven’t decided if I want to go back to Seoul or not.” Minseok admitted out.
“WHAT?”<
