Foreword
"You're going to get married, Wendy," the Chairman, her dad, said.
"What? Why?" she questioned. Wendy's always been well behaved, she doesn't know if this is a punishment or a reward.
"Your grandfather wants to see you in good hands before he passes away away, my child," he reasoned.
Wendy and her grandfather have a really close relationship. After her grandmother passed away, Wendy has been visiting her grandfather everyday with mangoes. Her grandfather loves mangoes. Because Wendy visited her grandfather so often, she grew attached to him. She treasures her grandfather so dearly. But, 2 months ago, he was diagnosed with a brain tumour and refuses any treatments because of his old age. When Wendy found out, she was devastated. She cries herself to sleep everynight because she feels so helpless.
"Okay, father," Wendy agreed. She didn't know what she was getting herself into, but as long as her grandfather and family were happy, she was willing to do it. "But, who am I marrying?" she asked.
"Grandfather said not to tell you, don't worry though, Grandpa knows what he's doing," her father reassured. "You're meeting him tomorrow."
"WHAT?! O-okay, I guess," she said nervously.
"Your PA will tell you the details," the Chairman said.
"Yes, fa--Chairman," she said standing up. She bowed and left his office.
