“I can’t…”

“It’s okay.” I turned to my left. Jin was smiling at me, reassuring me with his presence. I look into his eyes, finding the truth in his gaze. “It’s okay. You got us.” Sunmi appeared on my right, giving her support as well. For once I was really glad to have them as friends. From the past and present. My two best friends.

Slowly I nodded.

Thankfully, the days passed by peacefully. Boys grew fond of her, although they only laid eyes on her once. Her name was brought up everywhere. Aish. It’s so difficult.

“Can we talk?” Taehyung lifted his gaze to find Hoseok standing before him. “Go on. I’m listening.” He nonchalantly replied, tying his shoes in the process. He had a feeling he’ll talk about her sister.

“Two years ago, my sister was hurt. It was that bad that it scarred her for a long time. Until recently, she decided to face her fear when you two made the bet.” Taehyung listened to Hoseok’s words attentively, although it appeared like he wasn’t. So? “I know. Jin told me.”  

“Thank you.” Taehyung paused his actions. That was unexpected. “You brought her back. I thank you for that.” The boy immediately raised one eyebrow. Isn’t he supposed to get mad at me? Hoseok threw a smile, patting his back before he leaves.

Ah, why is this so difficult?

“Ha Eun-ssi, please accept this.” Siwoo from the next class appeared with a red rose in his hand. He rubbed his neck while preventing himself from getting flustered. His friends were watching from behind, biting their nails nervously. “Accept it! Accept it!” They chanted to support their friend. Ha Eun puzzled of what she should do. She did not want give him any false hopes. “I…”

“Just accept him already. We’re getting frustrated!” Kangjun, one of his friends voiced out. Siwoo told him to hush, but he continues. “Aren’t you going to accept him?”

“She can’t.” Ha Eun was startled at his presence. What is he doing here? Taehyung stood firmly by her side, with his face remains calm. “Kim Taehyun
