Taehyung changed the channel for the third time. Morning shows weren’t usually interesting to watch. He turned to another channel and settled for a cartoon.

Calling her on Saturday was not the original plan. His father left for Busan yesterday, leaving him alone in the house. He can manage by himself. He’s eighteen. But boredom got over him. He got up early for no reason and with nothing better to do. 

He decided to find a company without the need of going out.

The lucky person? Jung Ha Eun.

Fifteen minutes went by. I forgot to tell her where the ingredients are. He paused. Ah, she can figure out that herself. His mischief spoke. He brushed off the thought and focused on the cartoon.

Can she really cook? Curiosity pokes him again. What if she’s destroying the kitchen? My dad will kill me!  He sprang from the couch, turning his head towards the kitchen. Slowly, he tiptoed towards the area, intending to sneak a peek on her.

He stopped midway. I’ll . He smirked. He walked towards the kitchen.

What he saw was a total opposite. Ha Eun just finished mixing batter for the pancake. She dipped her finger, then putting it into for a quick taste. “Need more milk.” She mumbled, failed to notice Taehyung’s presence. Ha Eun continues to stir the batter before pouring some into the frying pan.

Taehyung leaned his shoulder against the wall, silently observing her. Ha Eun tucked her hair behind one ear, so she could work comfortably. She placed the freshly made pancakes on the counter, moving on to the next meal.

“Where’s the kimchi? Ah, here it is.” Ha Eun mumbled, taking out a container of kimchi from the fridge. Taehyung felt amused. She had a funny habit, he thought. But she definitely can work her way around the kitchen. She will make a good wife someday…

Soon, a pleasant aroma filled the air. Ha Eun finished with her cooking; pancakes and kimchi fried rice. She brought the food to the dining table, setting it up accordingly.

Taehyung placed himself, followed by Ha Eun. “What are you doing? This is my breakfast.” Taehyung stopped the girl from sitting down.
