Siren (formerly Nine Sirens) honor passing member Jini with former members Jewel, Hyun J, and Vi in surprise single 'Girls'

It wasn't to long ago that Nine Sirens changed their name to Siren after the depature of former members Jewel and Vi, but today the girls got together to honor former member Jini who passed away a year ago today with a surprise single titled 'Girls'.

A year ago today the former main dancer of the group passed away at 20 years old (Korean age) due to hodgkin lymphoma cancer and that shook the girl group very hard. But today the other girls honor her memory by releasing a single that former member Jewel wrote and produced. What surpirsed fans was that the single was released under the group's former name, Nine Sirens! And that three former members; Jewel, Vi, and former leader Hyun J were in it!
Hunus Entertainment released this statement; "Yes the title of the song 'Girls', which was produced by former member Jewel has the former name Nine Sirens in it and has former members in the song. Jewel gave the song to the members of Siren so they could honor Jini who was a member of the group, but the other five girls thought it was only right for Jewel to feature, as she was former member. Also Vi and Hyun J were asked personally by Siren to come back for just one more song as Nine Sirens. Though Vi left for education puporoses, she still supports her [unnies]. As for Hyun J, her and Jini were the closest within the group at the time and all the members knew that and asked her to sing in the song as well as a tribute to Jini and despite Hyun J being a full actress now. We hope fans will support the song 'Girls' written and produced by former member Jewel and the last song that'll be released as Nine Sirens."
It seems this song was well thought out by Jewel as the lyrics give much meaning. But also a MV was also released with this and showing some of the girls happy moments; their debut, other stage performances, and some behind the scene moments. There was also moments in the MV after Jini passed away where the members are crying (but mostly focused on Jini).
The girls (all of them) went to see Jini's grave and the first time former members gathered together since each one of them left.
We hope Jini is resting and watching somewhere were she is at peace and seeing her former members!
